great for coughs but hydrocodome keeps me awake and makes me hyper.

I tried several over the counter medications for cough and nothing worked. I was coughing (dry cough) through the night even on a full dose of nyquil. When my doctor gave me this medicine, I finally had a good night sleep. It stopped the cough, can take during the day. It does not make me sleepy.

took one dose, woke up in the middle of the night with my fingers slightly tingling, severe stomach cramps, was lightheaded, and rapid heartbeat of 109. I thought I was dying, but I felt better after I threw up everywhere. The next day I still had a headache and light stomach cramps. Won't take this again.

good stuff wish it lasted longer

This is really the only thing we have found that stops me from coughing when I get severe colds or bronchitis. I wish it lasted longer than 4 hours is it's only downfall as I wake up in the middle of the night and have to take more.

This is a great cough medicine so I can get some sleep. It doesn't "knock me out" like some can. I take it and in about 30min. am ready to go to bed. One wish is that I could use it during the day to help my cough while at work.

I was given this for a severe cough, I have diabetes. The medicine made it very hard for me to urinate and I had trouble sleeping and I got very depressed. About a half hour after taking it I was confused. So with all this I stopped taking it. My blood sugar went to over 250.

it works for me to stop my cofe bu it makes me itch reail bad all over.

It helped stop the constant cough of 2 weeks. However I got all the severe side effects too.

This medicine perscribed for chronic coughing..caused shoulder & neck pain on my left side, I thought I was having a stroke. Difficulty breathing, groggy, (woozy). I thought with this medicine I would finally be able to sleep thru the night, I was wrong. I stopped taking it right away.Did not like the side effects, & the way I felt at all.

I had severe lung infection with cough. 2 days and I sleep better and cough is now just slight with clear fluid. Use carefully... within 10 minutes you should be ready to lay down for a bit.

Had a bad cough due to chest cold gone bad. After the first 2 doses, no appetite, 6 doses, nauseous and light headed. Would not use this again.

I took one dose and within 30min was feeling not right and continued to feel excessivly ill to the point that I thought I was going to die! Seriously, I was very frightened by the 'side effects',throwing up,loss of feeling in limbs,dizzy,headache... I was extremely sick and it took me two days to recover from the medicine alone. It definatly stopped my cough,but I will never use it again.

This drug has worked great for me. My coughing was eased dramatically just shortly after taking the first dose. I did get a bit of a headache the first day of taking it, so my pharmacist told me to take 2 tylenol the next time I took it, and I was fine. It allowed me to get restful sleep without feeling groggy the next day, and I had no real bothersome side effects. The orginal taste is pretty awful. My pharmacy offers flavoring for liquid meds. If yours does, definitely get it for this medication! Overall, great medicine for non stop cough; perfect if you can't get relief from over-the-counter drugs.Read More Read Less

The medication definately works to get rid of my cough from bronchitus. It made me very dizzy and nauseous from 2 doses. It did help me get a very restful sleep. The next day I also had a terrible headache. I suggest using it right before bed and going staight to sleep.
