When I was diagnosed as hypertensive, my blood pressure was 238/170. This medication, within a month, brought my pressure down to 110/70 on average. I had no side effects except for some slight dizzy spells when I first started taking it as my body was used to having high pressure. My body had to readjust with lower pressure. The only thing I do not like is that Exforge is not available in gener...

I feel tired all the time when I am taking ExForge. I don't feel good in the morning. By lunchtime, I am ready to go back to bed. I can fall asleep at most anytime.

Just now read these reviews, I'm getting of this drug, my Dr. treated my swollen feet and numb toes with a different drug that did not work, my extremely itchy scalp and results of my scratching went untreated, I didn't care am extremely lethargic and tired so retired early, have ringing in ears, sore and tired, have rapid pulse and chest pain/pressure. Looked here after Dr. shut down practice. I see all my issues listed here including ED. and other issues. I am off this drug as of now and looking for a DR. Read More Read Less

I took this medication for about 3 1/2 years, my bp was good but i didn't realize until just lately that it was causing another problem for me. I was having a problem with hair loss and a very bright pink scalp. I went to dermatologist and she could not find a problem with my scalp. Just recently I quit exforge due to the increasing cost of it and was prescribed a different bp med. it has been 3 months and I am no longer losing hair and my scalp is back to normal color. I researched this medicine and it says that hair loss is a rare side effect. My advice would be if you are on this med and notice the problem that I was having , go back to Dr and ask for something different. Read More Read Less

Body bloAted and legs ballooned full of fluid and turned an awful red blistery color. My feet swelled into round balls with no flat area to walk on. The local ER said I had developed staph infection and put me on antibiotics. The heat in my legs lessened, but the swelling and pain never left.

Blood pressure dropped too low. Feel fatigued, low energy. Upcoming appointment with health care provider. Will ask her to reduce dosage. Have been taking for three months. Just recently had readings of 101/62 with 89 hb which is way low for me. Normal for me is 140/80.

WARNING!!! Been to hospital twice due to high potassium level. This drug has a component which increases your potassium in your blood; therefore, watch your diet! Don't drink ensure, or eat foods high in potassium. Bad leg cramps also due to the high potassium level. Also effects your nervous system and cognitive reasoning when potassium level reaches too high. My mom had a seizure, and that's when this was all discovered. Please be careful!!

Ex-forge has worked good for me for years, However, my Doc has recently added a statin drug (for Cholesterol) and I felt bad, was warned that the statin drugs cause muscle pain, but this was not good! great pain! neck hurt, arms hurt, legs hurt... I stopped after a few days... then a week or so later my doc called and wanted to see me after I got some bloodwork done, and told me to stop the statin (informed him I had not been able to take it because of the pain. going to him soon. but I was told the Insurance company had contacted him about the drug interactions between the statin and Exforge.... I had ckd but had not recognized the names but obviously there is a problem.... the pain has not gone away since stopping... still there, I will go to Doc soon, hope to get some answers Read More Read Less

My doctor has tried a few medications on me before this one, and they all had side effects. I have no side effects from exforge and it keeps my blood pressure under control. I like it.

I have been taking Exforge since late last year and almost from the very start it made my feet and ankles swell. It is controlling my blood pressure but to me it's not worth having your feet and ankles swell. I have never had them swell from medication. I have expressed concern it might be harming my joints but my doctor doesn't want to listen to my comments! I think it's time for a new doctor and another blood pressure medication that doesn't make my feet and joints swell up.
