Delsym has been a lifesaver compared to any other cough medicine on the market!

Did not help with my dry cough at all. I was up all night coughing.

It simply hasn't worked. It hasn't stopped or reduced my cough symptoms at all.

Took this medicine for a horrible hacking cough. I took this medicine twice and both times did NOT work. I literally was up all night both times from the cough and I got a headache and started getting night sweats as well right after I took them.

I'm sorry the other person had a problem. There's no alcohol in it and I could take it with my diabetes meds. Worked on my cough from post nasal drip (allergies) like a charm!

I had to write a review for this seemingly simple cough medicine. I took it for the first time for a dry hacking cough left over from some kind of virus I have. Within 3 hours, my heart started racing and I started having hot and cold flashes severely... this led to panic attacks which made it worse. I only took the prescribed dose on the box, in fact it was a little below the line. This did help my cough, but it gave me racing heart panic attacks high blood pressure and high pulse. I done learned that this stuff works by changing your brain chemistry to block the signal for you not to cough. I didn't found lots of websites orchids take more than the recommended dose just to get high into hallucinate. I woke up a few hours after taking the medicine. I was very dizzy, my vision was extremely blurred, my blood pressure was high and I felt extremely shaky. It was as if I was drunk and on a caffine high all at once. I had to stay awake the rest of the night to feel better because lying down made it worse. I will never ever recommend this product. I immediately threw the rest away.

First I woke up feeling dizzy and nausiated. I almost passed out going to the bathroom. Did nothing to my cough, awful feeling I can't describe. Can't go to work because of the dizziness. Please don't use it it's terrible . I feel I might end up going to emergency room because of high heart rate

1st time using this and it's the last time.I feel terrible,High heart rate,foggy head just awful.Beware.

Had a bad cough from a sinus infection and tried Delsym 12 hour. Didn't work at all. No effect whatsoever. What a waste of time and effort and money.

I purchased this for a persistent cough. IT WAS NOT EFFECTIVE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. My doctor gave me an 8 oz bottle of generic Robitussin with Codeine and it worked well and was cheaper than Delsym. NOT RECOMMENDED!

I have been dealing with a viral cough for the last three weeks that's worse at night, to the point that it was preventing me from getting a good night's sleep. So, I walked into my local Walgreens and asked about a good cough medicine to help with my nighttime cough. The pharmacist recommended Delsym. I took the adult dose at 7pm. Went to bed around 9:30 feeling a bit funky, but fell asleep anyway. Woke up at 1:00am to the bed spinning and feeling completely sick. Stumbled to the bathroom and back to my bed again. Laid there and fell asleep fitfully. Woke up again at 5ish, stumbled done my steps and promptly threw up in my kitchen sink. Passed out on my floor. Came to and crawled to my living room couch, grabbing a bowl from the cabinet to vomited in. Made it to the couch and promptly vomited again. My two teenage children got up for school and found me sobbing and throwing up. I called the after hours nurse and passed out on the phone with her. My son took the phone and she was screaming for me to call 911. My son dialed 911 and handed the phone to me. So within 5 mins, the EMTs were at my door checking my vitals. My blood pressure was sky high, pulse was over 100 beats per min, eyes fully dilated and breathing shallow. So would I recommend this cough medicine? Never in a million years!Read More Read Less

my cough was horrible but i think the diarreah caused by Delsym was far worse almost went to the ER. Will never take again and unfortuantley bought two bottles but they are going in the garbage I would never take this again and certainly won't be giving it to my children.

I have asthma and I was coughing really bad. I took 10 ml as directed on the bottle. I even took it with food. The cough subsided but I feel feverish, blood pressure went sky high and feel a shortness of breath. I am going to discontinue.

Helped with coughing a bit, but it gave me diahrreah.

I had an upper respiratory infection and was coughing constantly. My MD would normally prescribe a prescription cough syrup that contained codeine, but I'm allergic to it. So I tried Delsym. It didn't have any effect on my cough at all. It was easy to measure out and had a pleasant taste, but was ineffective for me.

Had Worst experience Took 10ml and i Started having severe diarrhea after 3 hours couldn't sleep; stayed up all night. Well it's somewhat effective but comes with severe side effects. Refund would be better from delsym

Doesn't last 12 hours.. Calmed the cough some within an hour but after 5 hours back to the same hacking cough. Too much money for this product.
