This is 99% better than Detrol, enablex, vesicare.for me. Each person will react to a drug differently.I've been on 4 mg toviaz for 90 days, worked great for about 6 hours, now moved up to 8, it works about 8-10 hours. Should you have constipation drink more water or juice. For someone who was afraid to sneeze.. this has been the best one so far. I'am 63, sure nice not to have to know where ever bath...

I haven't been sweating unless exposed to high humidity. That is not normal for me.

My history of incontinence includes treatment with multiple meds, TVT insertion and removal because it kinked, and recently collagen injection. I was diagnosed with problems in both my bladder and urethra. I continued to have problems of constant spasms (didn't realize they were constant until I took Toviaz and didn't have any at all until it was really time). It's like the switch was turned off. No urgency and leaking only occurring if I have really waited too long - like 6 hours during the day. It's early so I know it may not stay this way, but I am hopeful. The only side effect I've had is dry mouth.Read More Read Less

one of the better bladder meds i've tried in awhile. the blurred vision and diffuculty sleeping (both very annoying) go away after awhile. the only thing that kinda worries me is, has anyone else lost their sense of taste since they've started taking it? trying to figure out if it's the med or something else i'm doing. otherwise it works pretty well for me. it's nice not having to pee every 5 minutes or know where every bathroom is. i only have to get up once in the middle of the night now instead of 2 or 3 times. so all in all i'd say it's a relative success.Read More Read Less

I have tried everything over the past 10 years and Toviaz is the only thing that has worked effectively. I even cut down from the 8 to the 4 mg. The side effects are constipation but I just drink more water and eat more fruit. It is worth it.

I am a 37 yr old female who has trouble with bladder leakage (SIU) when running, jumping (or any 'active' excercise), and during sex (yeah, major one there), sneezing coughing, walking stairs, etc. I was prescribed this and have been taking for 3+ months. I am no longerleaking when I cough or sneeze and I can walk to stairs without leaking. But if I run or do any kind of exercise or activity that causes me to bounce or a jolting motion, then I not only leak, the flood gates just open and at this point I am so frustrated. Thinking about surgery as I'm tired of medicine not taking care of the "whole" problem. Any recommendations? I use the restroom before I leave my house and then before I begin exercising and it doesn't help. I'd love to go on a roller coaster with my kid this summer, but that too causes a full bladder loss, even on Toviaz. Help . . . Read More Read Less

I have had success with this medication for overactive bladder. 8mg too strong and unable to urinate. 4mg seems to work for me. I have had dry mouth and have gained weight since taking this medication. Does anyone else have same effects.

I have been taking Toviaz for the ten days, and I do not see much relief in sight. I still experience frequent urination and, at times, difficulty starting my stream. Also, I cannot ejaculate. I was wondering if any other males, have experienced the inability to ejaculate because I have not seen that side effect listed anywhere for this drug.

I've used Toviaz for 10 days and am VERY satisfied with the effectiveness, compared with Vesicare, Enablex, etc. HOWEVER, I haven't had a full night's sleep in over a week. I hope this isn't because of Toviaz, but I'm afraid it might be. If so, I'll have to discontinue use.

Initially I tried to convince myself this was helping my constant, desperate need to urinate. To be honest it has not helped at all and I have been feeling unwell since going on it - headaches, drowsiness, depression. I am hard of hearing and at a test this morning I have suddenly lost nearly all hearing in one ear! Being referred to ENT specialist but first time this has happened in 30 years so may be linked to Topiaz. Be warned.

From my experience, Toviaz is one of the biggest jokes in medicines. Instead of helping the problem, it made it worse. I had more frequent trips and it was like someone opened the flood gates. Instead of being able to hold my urine, I would start urinating before I could even get up. It was more urgent than before I started the medicine. Along with this problem, I had constant nausea, no appetite, bouts of depression and swelling in the neck area. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

I don't have the common symptoms of an overactive bladder, but instead, I have a discharge that is very annoying.
