This is 99% better than Detrol, enablex, vesicare.for me. Each person will react to a drug differently.I've been on 4 mg toviaz for 90 days, worked great for about 6 hours, now moved up to 8, it works about 8-10 hours. Should you have constipation drink more water or juice. For someone who was afraid to sneeze.. this has been the best one so far. I'am 63, sure nice not to have to know where ever bath...
I haven't been sweating unless exposed to high humidity. That is not normal for me.

Was making 6-9 trips a night...was prescribed toviaz...took for 10 days...only cut my night trips by 2...so I did not deem it to be worth it when compared to the side effects: lower back aches, extreme dry mouth and throat and headaches (side note: took vesicare before trying this and is was equally as useless) The Dr said the next step would some type of electro shock in the back area to stop bladder contractions and that this would take me down to 0-2 trips a night, sounds great if it works, I have never heard of this so I am going to have to research it more.Read More Read Less

At 45 years old, I was having trouble making it to the restroom and on several occasions ended up urinating on myself in public. My MD gave me one month of samples and a script if it worked and I have been thrilled with it! No more embarrassing episodes. I have had issues with blurred vision and tiredness but it is starting to subside now. I have my life back and couldn't be happier!

I took this medication only for 1 mounth. It really helped my overactive bladder. The only draw back was the dry mouth. This is the reason that I stopped the drug it was really really more than i could put up with.

I have had excellent results. On 8mg the drug had marginal effect. the drug was tested up to 24mg BUT is not prescribed above 8mg. I presumed to experiment with 12mg and have fount that dose to be optimum for me. So far, the literature that I have read does not disuade me from this experiment. I have been on Toviaze ER for 90 days and on 12mg for two weeks with geat results. I haven't told the MD of the increase in dose. Will see him next month and will discuss this with him.

Have used Detrol in the past with very few side effects. Do not see where Toviaz is better treating syptoms and the side effects were brutal. Headache, dry mouth, nausea. Discontinued using.

Toviaz seems to help me much better than Enablex, but I am having strong abdominal cramping and some nausea. Anyone else have these symptoms?

Looking for increased effectiveness, I switched from a modestly effective Tamsulosin (used it for 4 months). After 6 days of agonizing regression (poor urine stream, increased urgency, difficulty urinating, mild constipation), I went back to Tamsulosin. Although I didn't give Toviaz a reasonable trial, it was too uncomfortable to continue the experiment.

This is one of the worst medications I've taken - horrible adverse reaction. Upon taking the fist pill, I spent 18 hours having to urinate every 20 minutes.

This is the second drug I've taken for overactive bladder. The first one was Santura, which was awful. This is better, but I'm not totally cured. Some days are better than others. I've been taking it now for 3 months. It works, but it could be better.

Following prostate reduction surgery I was in deep trouble.....frequent, SUDDEN urges that allowed no more than 15 seconds till start!!!!!! First two medications produced zero relief. Topiaz 8mg has produced 95% relief and no more 'accidents'.

I have been plagued with urinary frequency since 2002 when I had cystocele/rectocele surgery. I have tried several other kinds of meds with no relief. I took my first Toviaz pill at 6 this evening and it is now 2 AM and I can't sleep because I have a constant urge to urinate--but CAN'T. I am spending all my sleep time in the bathroom feeling like I urgently have to go and absolutely nothing comes out. Painful abdomenal contractions with no result.

My doctor gave me the 14 day sample. It works well except I'm experiencing constipation more than I did with similar medication. The most negative factor is the price. It is extrememely expensive and with my insurance, I still have to pay $67.00 per monthly dosage. I like it but I can't afford this medication.
