I started using Plavix for this condition but I had too many side effects. My doctor changed me to Effient 10mg and once the Plavix was gone, I started to feel great. I have no side effects to this drug and if needed, I will stay on it for the rest of my life. Effient has been very effective for me.

I started taking this drug after stent placement May 2010. I took Plavix and had every side affect possible with it. Extreme bruising and hives. I have not minded taking this drug and only take 5 mgs now. Started with 10. Have not had excessive bleeding or bruising. If I have to take it the rest of my life that will not be a bad thing.

Started taking after stent placement 1-1-2011. Within days started having mild chest pains and pressure in center of chest. Told cardiologist repeatedly about this concern. After six months of same side effect, he finally switched me over to Plavix. Been on it for two weeks now and chest pains are gone. Not in my head! Will have to see long term effects for me with Plavix.

i have panic ,anxiety disorder, not sure if this drug is making it worse due to breathing trouble. took it before bed and got panic attacks, could be due to shortness of breath from effient, feel fatigue alot, weakness in legs, arms, some days better than others, started taking with an early dinner, it seemed to lessen the late night anxiety.have been on this drug for 2 months now since stent was put in, not sure if i like this drug

Doctor took me off of plavix and told me he preferred this newer drug, and said he thought it was a better drug for keeping my blood from clotting

I have been on Effient -10mg since Feb/2010 - have 1 stent. I had a cough for the first 6 months in addition to feeling constantly tied, back and joint pain too. This is a very expensive drug and I want off of it.

I've been taking for 2 months, after having 2 TIA's on Plavix. I bruise easily. I'm going to require the test to determine if it is working for me in another month. Test works for Effient and Plavix. Ask your doctor to test you!!

Taking effient for two months following placement of my second stent. Bruising occurs very easily, constant fatigue, and worry about the excessive bleeding from the tiniest of cuts. A paper cut has taken an hour to finally clot. I have to have a tooth pulled very soon and am worried.

I have only been on Effient fot 3 months now, following 2 stents placed to open a 100% blocked artery. For the past 5 years I was on Plavix, which obviously didn't work too great. I have 9 more stents in my heart and 1 in my neck. I have had no side effects whatsoever. Thanks - I recommend it highly (I'm just having trouble getting my insurance to pay for it).

Started in 2008 after heart attack taking Plavix bad rash so doctor put me on Effient, been taking 3 weeks and have bad bruising, nightmares, sore muscles in legs and back. Also was given Xanax (One a day of the .25mg)as a treatment for anxiety . I think with that and my aspirin at night I would be OK. Just need a doctor to get my meds right so there will be no guess work involved as it has to do with my heart.

I have 12 stints in my heart and 2 in my leg. This drug has worked for me. I was on Plavix and he changed me over in February 2011. I have had no side effects so far with this drug. I still have chest pains every so often, but me nitro spray seems to stop it. I don't see much difference between it and Plavix.

On Effient for 5 weeks after 3 stents--NO side effects and hope not to. Drug company should be ashamed of the cost--30 day is $178 with insurance card.Feel GREAT-
