I only had my first patch on for about 15 hrs. and the itching around the corners of the patch was very uncomfortable. One of the corner of the patch had started to lift. When I pulled it off my skin, the adhesive on the patch had left terrible, red marks all around the perimeter of the patch. The middle of the patch where the medication is was very wet with a milky texture and it seemed as if it ... Show Full Comment

It falls off after only 1-2 days. Call Teva and was told not to do anything to cause sweat or bathe. Also filed a complaint with the FDA. But because it is now a generic for the name brand. My insurance makes me use Teva. Only other option is to pay the full price for the name brand.

I have been on this medication for 2 weeks. It does absolutely nothing for pain. It is totally useless. I don't recommend that anybody use this medication. I don't believe that there is much medication to give the kind of pain relief for someone in chronic pain like me.

I am grateful to all other patients who have documented their experiences with the Teva Butrans patch. My experience has been identical. I have attempted all the same methods of trying to adhere the patch to my skin (tegaderms, medical tape, tincture of benzoine), all to no avail. I shared my experience with the ordering physician and was treated as though I had drug seeking behavior when asking t ... Show Full Comment

The Brand and the generic by Rhodes work well for pain relief. The generic by TEVA does not work because it falls off in 1 to 2 days. I recommend anyone that has problem with the TEVA patch to report it to the FDA at https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/medwatch/i ndex.cfm.
