I've been on this pill for a month and a half and just started having the worst cramping I've ever had since I got my period when I was 13, I'm now 33. I was on Quasense but when I called in a new refill my doctor called this in. I never had a problem with Quasense. Also I've been trying to loose weight and this pill is not helping. I've been trying for almost 2 months and haven't even lost a poun...

I was on Quasense for many years- everything was great, last month the pharmacy switched my generic (thanks Obama). I have been having mood swings,(stress, depression, anger) nausea, fibrocystic tissue pain, cramping. What is the deal? How could it make you feel so bad? I talked to my doctor, she said there could be an adjustment phase.

I was on Jolessa and then the pharm switched over to this. I had no problems switching. When I first started this birth control I did have breakthrough bleeding for the first 3-4 months (on Jolessa, but I think your body needs to get used to the schedule change). Worst side effect was weight gain. I gained a good 25 lbs the first month and I've been on it for 2 years and am 40 lbs over from when I started. My boobs jumped 2 sizes (not which I am complaining going from a B to a D size, lol). I used to get fatigue, but my dr recommended me take a B-complex vitamin and it makes a HUGE difference!Read More Read Less

My 18 year old daughter began taking this drug 3 months before going to college. The only reason she started was to help keep track of her cycle. After the 3rd month she ended up in ICU with a brain clot. We have no family history of blood clots and she is a very active young woman who had just began her military career at an academy. Luckily she did not die or require surgery but the main thing all the doctors commented on was her taking these birth control pills. I do Not recommend there to anyone. Read More Read Less

I am on my 4th week and I have not stopped bleeding. It's very heavy, clots and the cramps are unbearable. I will be calling to get on something different.

I have only been on this pill for not even a month and I have never been so depressed in my life. I liked the concept of only getting a period once every 3 months, but it is not worth the way it makes you feel emotionally.

HATE THIS DRUG!! I got switched from another generic due to my pharmacy. Since I switched six months ago, I have gained weight like crazy (30 pounds), and have not had a period. I would like to have a period every three months, that way I know I am not prego. So, I end up spending a ton of money on pregnancy tests. Hate this pill! I am going back on Nuvaring. It was awesome!

I've almost finished the first 3 months and I have been bleeding since day 1. So much for 4 periods a year... I've also gained about 15 pounds and have pretty intense mood swings. I will definitely be switching ASAP.

I have been on a generic form of Seasonale for years, usually Jolessa and I was told it was unavailable from the distributor by my pharmacist. So they switched me to Introvale. This is my fourth month on it and I do not like it. I have horrible acne on my forehead and chin both spots where I have never had skin problems before, and it makes me hyper sensitive. Hoping the other generic form is better for me.

I was put on this birth control due to ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids. They are extremely painful and this is suppose to help. I am on week 9 (third pack). This is the first time I've taken Introvale. I have bouts of depression, but that could also be because of the winter months. I get cystic acne on my chin and forehead about twice a week. I have very minor bleeding varying in color- this started in the second pack of the three. Sometimes a decreased sex drive---again, I blame depression and the winter months. I sometimes get sharp pains in my uterus but I believe that is because of my cysts and fibroids. Overall, it's not so bad. I'm just excited to be done with this after two more cycles so my husband and I can try to get prego.Read More Read Less

I have yet to finish my first month on this pill so I cant really give a true opinion but I already notice differences from my other pills. Im taking this to supress my period and we'll see if it does that in a couple weeks. I am hungry ALL THE TIME. I am a healthy eater and will have a full meal with protein and my stomach will be growling an hour later. We'll see if this goes away

I just started my 7th week of Introvale today and so far so good. I have been on 2 other types of BC and the first one made me break out like crazy and the second one made me way too emotional. At the beginning of starting Introvale I did end up breaking out a bit but its cleared up since. No emotional problems (at least I think lol). Within the past few days I have started spotting but this could also be do to the fact that I have taken a few pills a little bit late. My doctor says that this too should subside. Other than that, I haven't really had too many issues. Not having a period for 3 months is kinda nice and I haven't gained any weight which is also a plus. would recommend. Read More Read Less

I have been taking this for two years and experienced break-thru only for the first and second cycles. Sometimes my period was very light and sometimes it has been heavier. Now I feel like the first pack is like that first week after your period, the second pack is that great "ovulating" time period, and the third pack is like a month of serious PMS symptoms. Moodiness, breast swelling, etc. only getting worse each cycle. This month, I am extremely bloated and experiencing major cramping and it is still one week til my period should start. It is more painful than I remember a period ever being. My stomach is very sensitive to the touch. What usually happens when you feel this way is that you start bleeding and the cramps do their job of pushing blood out. But I won't bleed for days!! IF I bleed this time. These periods are not normal. The blood is usually very dark or brown and thin. If the side effects are different when using a different generic, then I will ask my doctor to switch or try the Depo shot.Read More Read Less

I am taking this BCP for HRT. I have only been on it for 11 days, but the first week of taking it was hell. I was very irritable, depressed, and over-analyzed things WAY more than I usually do. I have developed acne on my chest and between my shoulder blades on my back. I have decided to stop the BCPs today and will be calling my doctor to try something else.

What is the point of birth control if you're always spotting? I'm on my second pack of pills (been taking this drug for a little more than a month) and I started spotting last Monday. It hasn't stopped yet. Like I said, I don't need birth control if I can't ever have sex anyway. If things don't improve by the time I finish this whole pack I'm switching. Also had a really bad anxiety attack before the bleeding started. I take meds for depression already and I haven't noticed that being any different. Lots of cramping and bloating, though. And I wad nauseous for the first three weeks I was on it. Read More Read Less

I have been taking this pill for over a year now. I bleed everyday since I've tooken it. My Doctor said this is normal but I think not. I can only spend so much money on tampons and pads! My right breast is constantly sore and swollen. I have very sharp pains in my uterus.

I hate, hate, hate this pill! I have been on 4 different generics for Seasonale, and Introvale is BY FAR the worst. I just started my 4th pack about a week ago, and it keeps getting worse.I have horrible acne, I get emotional over little things, and I've has 3 migraines in less than a month. I also bled every day for 2 out of the 3 months when I started this pill. Not just a little spotting--I usually had to wear a tampon to control it. I never had any of these symptoms when I was on another generic (Quasense). I'm switching back asap. This pill is awful.Read More Read Less

no terrible side effects for me. I get my period every 3 months for about 5 days. The blood is really dark. Brownish. But I love it besides that.
