Well i'm not pregnant and that's what birthcontrol is meant to do. So this works great! My boyfriend and I have been sexually active without protection. All previous reviews are pretty much just whiney people in my opinion. If youre trying to protect yourself from having a baby and it's working, don't complain. It is doing it's job effectively.

I'm going to college in 3 weeks and I have a boyfriend, so we're somewhat sexually active. So I decided to ask my Gynecologist to go birth control & she gave me syeda. I HATE IT SO MUCH! Me and my boyfriend are careful but using the pill we decided not use a condom - 2 weeks later my period doesn't come - I start freaking out and a week later it comes & the cramps are unbearable. I'm 13 and take syeda for acne and so far I see little to no difference in it. It makes me hungry all the time, resulting in gaining 13 pounds. I get mood swings all the time, and menstrual cramps nowhere near my period (although, when I am on my period theres no cramps and its very very light!!)Probably going to switch syeda out for a different birth control.

I started this birth control about 4 monthd ago.. It has done its job of keeping me baby free..as I have had 4 children but am quite afraid of something as final as tubal.my mood swings are reminiscent of being pregnant..I cry at the drop of a hat.My husband and I are fighting all of the time.I am endlessly hungry! Its so hard to resists food and now I have the 10 lb weight gain to show for that.I am also feeling bloated.it has given me headaches and newfound anxiety.Positives..my skin is clear and soft, I'm not pregnant! Plus my boobs are a size bigger! If you don't mind gaining weight.. Go ahead and give this a try.. Also I haven't experienced any breakthrough bleeding I will be going back to ortho tri cyclen or the generic zarah..Read More Read Less

This medication has been very easy for me. The only thing I have noticed is that I tend to be out of control horny on it. I have never been more sexually active than on this pill.

I was taking this pill for birth control, so I suppose as I never got pregnant it was TECHNICALLY effective. HOWEVER - This medication ruined my relationship with my boyfriend and TANKED my grades. I was on it for about 4 months. Long enough to go into a severe depression, with crazy mood swings, but all of them negative. I'd go from being okay to sobbing in a second, or I'd go into a blind rage that would make me want to physically hurt whoever was upsetting me. I am not a violent or aggressive person, so that feeling was terrifying. This pill impacted almost every close relationship that I have. Once I realized what was happening, I was able to switch to Gildess. I'm in love with my new pill, and I'll never go back. Read More Read Less

I was petrified after reading the horror stories on here. But I'm the weeks in and it has been fantastic. MUCH lighter period. I've always had heavy unbearable periods and now I can use a light tampon for the whole day. No mood swings no weight gain but it hasn't helped my acne. Only downside. I was previously on minastrin & was having panic attacks mood swings & horrible acne. Making this switch saved my life! Oh and my breasts have slightly grew!!

I was told this pill would EASE my cramps & my period - LIE. I TOOK 2 TEST THINKING I WAS PREGNANT! I'VE HAD SPOTTING 1HOUR A DAY. I WENT TO GO WATCH THE SMURFS 2 & THE CONJURING & I STARTED CRYING OUT OF NOWHERE. My *vagina* started hurting like someone had kicked it(never felt like this EVER). MY BOYFRIEND ALMOST STARTED TO THIINK I WAS BIPOLAR. I HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT IT WAS MY PILLS!(embarrassing)Since that all happened, I stopped taking the pills and me & my bf are EXTRA careful. I WAS TOLD THIS HAS NO SIDE EFFECTS. HMM BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.Read More Read Less

I've only been on this for 2 months. My first period on it was extremely light to nonexistent, more like spotting. The second period has yet to show up and I've had two negative pregnancy tests taken a week and a half apart. FREAKING OUT. Anyone else not having a period on this stuff?

Hate this. Almost continuous bleeding for 5 months straight, every PMS symptom imaginable. Stopped taking because of the problems.

I have been taking the generic for Yasmin for years and was recently switched to Syeda and I can say with confidence that I am NOT okay with this switch. I plan to switch birth controls after my last pack. The side effects that I have experienced are mood swings like you wouldn't believe, spotting between periods, late periods (scary, I know!), hot/cold flashes, PMS (I have never had before this) with food cravings and severe bloating (I'm talking like 5lbs of water weight). This generic is a terrible representation of the other generics of Yasmin.Read More Read Less

I have horrible mood swings on this pill. I'll go from being completely ok to crying in no time at all. It has effected my relationship with my boyfriend. I took my last pill yesterday, and I'll never take it again.

I have experienced frequest head aches that once were never a problem. They switched me from Yasmin to Ocella then to this saying it was another Generic version. Also a more serious issue was that I have now been experiencing sever bleeding during intercourse and went to my gyno who didn't mention anything about the birth control being a possible reason, did a US and it was all clear. I just looked up the side effects of this and I think I have solved my problem now. Hopefully..

I have been noticing my mood has been changing frequently and Im very moody. I hate to blame it on this birthcontrol but it is in fact the problem. I had to stop taking it for awhile due to not being able to pay for it, and during that time I noticed I was happier and I didn't snap at my parents. Well, I'm back on it again and my mood has seriously been bad. I have also been gaining tons of weight.

This drug made me so irritable that my family had to have an intervention. It took me two months to realize that the problem with my mood was Syeda. I can describe in one word how this medication made me feel, RAGE. I would feel mood changes coming on instantaneously. I would be happy and everything would be fine, and seconds later I would feel extreme sadness or anger. Absolutely no one should take this medication.

I have been taking birth control since I was about 17. I've taken YAZ and most recently Ocella. When I started taking Syeda I immediately wanted to end it. Small things set me off that have never done so in the past and I constantly feel waves of emotion that I usually only get when I'm actually on my period. When I took Ocella my periods were heavy in the begining but only lasted about four days. Now my periods are light and spotty and last about seven days, then a day or two with nothing and then spotting for up to two days. It's frustrating. My insurance gives me a three months supply and I am on my last package and will be asking my doctor to prescribe me something else or go back to Ocella!Read More Read Less

Although it "works", I have been a different person on this medication. I'm crabby, don't feel well, depressed and have had lose stools the entire time I've been on it. I thought I was going crazy. I have 4 more days before this dosage is done and I will never take it again.

My pharmacy recently switched from the generic Zarah to Syeda. I'm on my second of three packs. The first month I completely missed my period, which I've NEVER done before in the nine years I've been using birth control. Very anxious test had to be performed to ensure I wasn't pregnant before starting the next pack. I've mostly experienced feelings of nausea, breast tenderness and dizziness. I'm not sure why I'm having such a different reaction to this drug than any other birth control pill. And I've tried a few. I won't be taking this generic again. I will say that it has been effective because I'm not pregnant though for me the side effects outweigh the benefits.Read More Read Less

This birth control has done its job but has given me horrible side effects such as: headaches, nausea, and gotten my period for two weeks once!
