Well i'm not pregnant and that's what birthcontrol is meant to do. So this works great! My boyfriend and I have been sexually active without protection. All previous reviews are pretty much just whiney people in my opinion. If youre trying to protect yourself from having a baby and it's working, don't complain. It is doing it's job effectively.

I'm going to college in 3 weeks and I have a boyfriend, so we're somewhat sexually active. So I decided to ask my Gynecologist to go birth control & she gave me syeda. I HATE IT SO MUCH! Me and my boyfriend are careful but using the pill we decided not use a condom - 2 weeks later my period doesn't come - I start freaking out and a week later it comes & the cramps are unbearable. I was told this p...

Do not take this medication. It did it's job by preventing pregnancy BUT due to it I formed a blood clot in my leg and lungs and was hospitialized for 6 days. Don't risk your life on this pill talk with your healthcare provider about other options. It's just not worth it!

Syeda is the first birth control pill that I've ever used and it has made me extremely hesitant to continue to use other pills due to it's side effects. I'm characteristically a very positive and happy person, but for the past month I've been having absolutely uncontrollable mood swings- everything from agitation at petty things to emotional meltdowns that come on for no reason at all! Syeda is a generic for Yasmin and is fairly affordable, though for these horrific experiences it is NOT WORTH wasting your time or money on. My periods have been longer and even more painful than usual, my face is ridden with acne, there's pain in my back and upper legs that comes on spontaneously, and I regret using this pill. Do your research before choosing the birth control right for you and take Syeda off your list of choices!Read More Read Less

My pharmacist switched distributors, and I was switched from the generic brand of Ocella to the generic brand of Syeda. While taking Ocella, my skin had never looked better. After the first month on Syeda I complained to my pharmacist, but he told me to try it out for a second to see if my body would adjust better. I am now finishing my second month's course and am seeing no better results with this drug. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I have never had truly terrible skin, but while on this product my skin is looking the worst it has ever in my life. Read More Read Less

My mail-order pharmacy recently switched me to Syeda from Zarah, another generic form of Yasmin. The first month I took Syeda, I experienced very uncharacteristic rage and shortness of temper, frequent headaches and migraines, and breakthrough bleeding with a week of active pills still to go. Month 2 is shaping up no better. I have been taking Yasmin, and the generic Ocella for years, and have not had these side effects at all. When switched to Zarah, I had breakthrough bleeding for several months, but that went away after my body got used to it. Whatever the formulation of the Syeda generic is, however, it definitely does not agree with me, and the hormones are off enough to make me switch off this particular generic ASAP! Plain and simple, I'm considering another alternative to Syeda because the side effects for me are 10x worse than what I used to take (Yaz, Ocella, Depo-Provera). My breasts increase in size and become extremely tender by 150%, cramping hurts a lot, my libido is through the roof, and I get super emotional. I don't recommend this drug if your doctor prescribes it to you.
