I have reactions to mosquito bites that include swelling and itching for a prolonged period, several hours or over night. This product did not do anything for the itching, stinging or swelling.

Hands-down, the absolute best cold sore treatment I have ever used and a fraction of the price of all the other treatments that "guarantee" a shorter healing time. With only a day or two of this, the cold sore is GONE.

I have been getting cold sores since grade school. I am now 25 and i started using Campho about 3 years. By far the best results I have ssen from a cold sore ointment!!

Worked Great On Mosquito Bites

I apply Campho-Phenique to an active (attached) tick and cover with a band-aid strip. By morning, the tick has backed out and the itch is gone !

Growing up on a farm, Campho Phenique was almost all we used as a first aid source for everyday scrapes, insect bites, cuts and burns. I was taught that If applied to a fresh wound, soreness and pain will almost disappear! I think it helps to drastically reduce the length of time it takes to heal too. Campho Phenique is a really effective topical medication that I always keep on hand.

I have been suffering from shingles for the past 22 years. The only thing doctors have ever prescribed is antibiotics. Desparate to relieve the pain, I applied this product directly on the blisters. The sting is bad, but so worth it. A 10 day outbreak reduced to one day. Now I use it right at the beginning and it stops it in its tracks. Same with cold sores. This is the best product!

I have had a condition of my toe and finger nails for years. NOT a fungus. It has attacked the cuticle all around and under my nails. I have tried everything. Even the dermatologist was puzzled. Wanted to give me a pill to take. Don't want to take internal medicine unless completely necessary and sure it will treat condition not something to TRY. This is the first product that has given me hope that I can conquer this horrible condition. I believe it is the camphor and the drying action that is helping. I have only been using it regularly for about 2 weeks. I wash my hands with a antibacterial soap and use a brush. After that I put the gel on the infected areas. The infected skin seems to break down and after I wash my hands again, a lot of the infected area seems to have the appearance of being exfoliated with soft skin underneath. My fingernails are starting to shine again. They have had a dull appearance with dry cracked skin all around and under nails. I am optimistic and very excited. I've had bad cancor sores since I was small and have always used this as a treatment and numbing agent. Later I used it to help with pain and mouth sores from braces, and bit lips. 21 years now, and it´s still my go to medication for any mouth issue.

I grew up on this medication and I have yet for it to fail me. They need to replace all other creams and oitments with this!!! BEST MEDICATION TO MAN!

I'm a RN and we never used Campho at work..but I grew up on Campho. None of my family had bad trouble with acne due to Campho. My mother was a fanatic putting it on any beginning pimples or cold sores. Now any beginning infection on my family I use Campho. Esp helpful on small burns incurred at home taking pain away better than other OTC's. My mother had mastitis and was suffering terribly. Out of desperation she rubbed campho all over her breasts and in a short while, her milk flowed out in great quantities, and reduced size of her breasts, softening abcesses as well and cleared them up. Unfortunately, it also "dried" up her milk, but she was so miserable she was just happy the pain was gone. I don't advise doing this, but it just goes to show how well campho can draw things out. I am never without Campho and put it on just about any injury or beginning infections of the skin and it takes care of it. I've used it on tooth abcess before although this is not a recommended use. In 1965 while working in sales that required some out of town travel, I listened to the radio and during newscasts would hear ads for Campho. One day was having some tooth issues (I was 25)went to dentist and he said I had four impacted wisdom teeth, two growing laterally. So had oral surgery and after the fact was told to wash mouth with warm salty water. Well, that was okay but still had pain, so asked the wife to go to a nearby store and buy some Campho. HUGE BOIL ON MY INNER THIGH, USED CAMPHO WITH A BIG BANDAGE, IN ONE DAY IT CAME TO A HEAD, PAIN GONE, SO IT WAS EASY TO LANCE AND DRAIN.

I have herpes and couldn't find anything to help the pain and clear the sores up. My mother has told me that camphophenique can be used for a lot of things, so I thought why not? It is Heaven in a bottle! It stings like crazy at first, but once that is over no more pain and it dries up the sores! Fantastic stuff!

Just to let everyone know.. As a child my mother always picked up stray animals with mange or something wrong with it. She would always keep Campho Phenique on hand. It works for everything. So it is very safe to use on animals.

Great stuff for a lot of reason. I even got my grandson to use it with ease.

I got a painful boil above my ear. I tried many of the home remedies and nothing really worked or gave me real relief. I then read about Campho-Phenique. I went out and purchased it immediately. True to form it burned like the dickens, but it worked. The pain was lessened and although the package said don't dandage, the location of my boil made it impossible to leave on overnight without securing it. I put a fair amount of product on a cotton ball put a large bandage on my ear just so it would hold the cotton ball in place and went to bed. The next morning a whitehead! i get boils once in awhile but this time i got one on my face! ugh! desperate to get rid of it quickly i started reaserching online. i decided to try a remedy suggested of CAMPHO-PHENIQUE. which you can get over the counter for less than 5.00 and is usually used for insect bites? skeptial i decied to try it because i was desperate. i put a tiny dab on the pad of a band aid....it took the pain away IMMEDIATLY and after just a few hours puss was running down my cheek and the core (which i have been struggeling with for days) was brought to the surface! just wanted to get the word out, this worked wonders for me! only draw back is that the campho is REALLY stinky. but small price to pay for instant pain relief and the results after just a few hours.Read More Read Less

I was just diagnosed with SHINGLES on my back. They are very PAINFUL! I put Campho Phenique on and WOW! The pain disappeared and the rash is going away after two days! USE THIS! It is Wonderful for Shingles.

I apply campho-phenique whenever I burn myself. It prevents blistering and scarring and anesthetizes the area just a few seconds after it's applied. I keep it in a cabinet next to the kitchen stove so it's handy when I need it.
