I have tried every prescription med for sleep that is out there...(1) they don't work & (2) they all gave me the next day "hangover fog". I can say that Z-Quil put me to sleep quicker than any Rx pill I have ever tried and it does not give me the next fog...I am however concerned about long term use & plan to consult with my MD about this (is it any more dangerous than a Rx pill?)...I have been u...

I took this before I went to bed at 10:30, and was awake until 2:00 a.m. with being wired up and having restless leg syndrome (which I've never had before). Today, I feel groggy and out of it, which should have happened last night! This was a waste of money, and I'm glad I only got the small pack.

While it eased my sneezing and itchy eyes, I was up for 36 hours. Every time I tried to go to sleep, it was as if I were wired and shaky. It was a horrible feeling as though I were having an out of body experience and was never going to sleep again.

i have always had trouble falling asleep. it usually takes me almost an hour to do so and then, it's not a solid sleep. i was so excited to try this and i couldn't believe how well it worked. i fell asleep quickly and stayed asleep all night except for a trip to the bathroom. the only side effect i have/had was being a little sluggish in the AM while getting ready for work. other than that, it was fantastic! i take it a few times a week, but not more than that. i would recommend it to anyone having problems falling asleep.Read More Read Less

First time I tried it, I had severe vertigo the next day. Tried it again about 6 months later and while it didn't seem to help me sleep, it did make me very achy the next day. I won't try it again.

Works great. Just a little groggy in the morning if alarm clock has to wake you up, otherwise fantastic. Starts working in about 30-45 minutes.

I have difficulty falling asleep. ZzzQuil relieves the problem. I fall asleep quickly and sleep soundly for 7 to 8 hours a night after taking it. The main side effect is dry mouth, but drinking water before and after taking ZZZQuil alleviates the problem.

I was anxious to try this as I struggle to fall a sleep and stay a sleep. I was very disappointed. After taking these 2 capsules the bed started spinning as if I were drunk. I was awake all night worse than normal. It has been 2 days and I still have the spins when I lay down and I walk like I just got off a roller coaster. My balance is off and I feel sluggish and weak. I am going to give myself one more day for these symptoms to go away before seeing my DR. Had any side effects been available on the packaging I would never have taken these pills. I feel hung over without ever having a drink. Really concerned. Read More Read Less

Younger teen here. I had trouble sleeping for a while and used this for occasional sleepless nights. I stopped using it after I got my sleep schedule back on track but 6 months later I started using it again. First time I used it again, my jaw felt numb, I would see tall dark shadows looming over my bed, it looked like the walls were turning and my vision was blurry. I was able to go to sleep though and those effects didn't bother me much like it might have with some people. I used it again couple nights ago, and went to sleep fine. I do sleep longer like some people have said, but I don't feel groggy, just tired still. It work's differently for different people.Read More Read Less

The results I get with this are really varied. The first time I drunk a whole cap and I slept for 12 hours and woke up groggy. The second time, about 2 weeks after the first, I took half a cup and slept for three hours. Last night, I took 3/4 of a cup and I slept from 10:30pm until 1:30pm. And I am STILL drowsy. I have missed half the day because of this medicine. It doesn't give you uninterrupted sleep either, I woke up a few times but I was too tired to stay awake. I would just stay away from this medicine, totally unreliable results. Read More Read Less

Takes a while to kick in, but if you let it work while in bed then it does the job. Slept straight through the night with slight drowsiness the next day, but nothing major. If you are wondering why it stops working after weeks it's because you are taking it wrong. Says directly on the package the directions of use. Naturally you will build up a tolerance. I've taken this roughly 1-2 times per week and it works wonders.

If I get more than 7-8 hours of sleep on any given night, I won't fall asleep until 3-4am the following night. The problem is, I need 8 hours of sleep to be fully alert and functional. If I take one-half to a full dosage and I am out like a light; vivid dreams and all. I've taken it for several weeks at a time and the effect does seem to wear off but if you think that's a problem with diphenhydramine HCL, then you need to read up on homeostasis and negative feedback. It may not work for everyone, but I am quite impressed. Read More Read Less

Had terrible dry mouth and didn't make the connection to the medicine til i asked my pharmacist about it and she said it was the ZQuill and to be careful of dramamine too. Melatonin is much better and no side effects.

I slept, from 1am to 4am, couldn't fall back on asleep because my mind was racing. Poor drug, don't even bother trying it.

While taking this med, I have not experienced any of the "aids" in getting to sleep; in fact, I have either been unable to go to sleep or wake every hour. Last night, I felt like bugs were crawling on my - went to bed at 11 pm and finally fell to sleep sometime after 3 am.

I used this product for 5 days a week for 3 weeks. Because i am thin, i use 1 teaspoon dose . It worked well the first week, but now i am experiencing rapid heartbeat, so much that it now reverses the effect and keeps me up. I am going to stop using it for awhile and hopefully it goes away.

I use the liquid form, and love it.. I take most of the time 1/2 the dose and have no problems sleeping... It's wonderful.. The only thing is I use it every night and wonder if there are any side effects to using it every night.
