I have been on Delzicol for about 10 months now, I feel that the Asacolseemed to work better with no flareups... Have been experiencing more lower back pains, and anxiety related issues with tingling and prickly skin. Never experienced this while on Asacol. I realize they are suppose to be the same medication, but never had these symptoms while taking the asacol. Just wondering if anyone else h...

This medication is not as effective as Asacol. I am six weeks into taking this medication and my symptoms are not any better. When I was using Asacol symptoms cleared within two weeks.

The capsules are a little bit harder to swallow than the caplets, but apparently they completely dissolve when and where they're supposed to, unlike the previous form of Asacol tablets.

This medication has worked as well as Asacol. Only major issue is the cost. I paid $464 for a one month supply.

switched from Asacol to Delzicol because of manufacturing issues. Objected to the price increase. The new medicine is not as good as Asacol. 6 weeks after starting taking this med, I am in the middle of a flareup like i have not had in over 10 years. My last flare was 4-5 years ago and was mild compared to this. Delzicol is the old Asacol, repackaged so they can get more profits.
