I've been using this for a couple of months and so far it's great. My mom has been using it for years, then one month she stopped using it and got pregnant with my brother, but overall the pill worked great. Just don't forget to take it. I at times still forget to take it like once a month.

*I don't know how effective/ineffective it really is* I was originally on mononessa for 10 months when my pharmacy switched me to sprintec. I was afraid but they said it was the same thing so I went with it and had no problems for three months. We switched pharmacies and then I got this stuff for free which was nice but a little off putting... They said it was the same thing again so I figured I ...

Best birth control I’ve ever used! I started taking it to help manage my PCOS symptoms. I skip the placebo week so I no longer have long and painful cycles each month. My acne is all gone and I’ve been able to start losing weight. The weight loss has been slow, about 2lbs a month but I’m grateful!

This stuff is the worst!!!! I have not felt like myself since the first week taking it. Going on month three and I am done! I'm angry, depressed, and extremely anxious, the anxiety is literally making me sick, my jaw hurts from constantly being clenched. I feel like i want to rip everyone head off and its that much worse knowing it not my actual feelings, but that doesn't make it any easier to control. This is the 5th BC ive taken in my life and Ive never had issues like this with the others. I have an appointment soon to try and get switch back to my old stuff, but im afraid I will commit a crime or off myself before then. I would not recommend this pill to anyone! I've also been having the worst breakouts. After reading so many comment with similar complaints I am appalled they would even prescribe this pill. Seems almost criminal. Way to add to the male propaganda of all women being crazy and emotional. Read More Read Less

This birth control has been the best one I’ve used so far. I was originally on Lo loestrin which gave me horrible depression but worked really well with helping my extreme period pain as well as shortening it. I switched to Femynor, but I kept getting really nauseous and passing out when I would start my period. I will say that I have been experiencing minor mood changes and a kind of empty feeling, but I may be able to credit that to the fact that I am a teenager and also deal with some mental health issues. My periods are also a little heavy and can last up to 7 days. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with this pill.Read More Read Less

I switched to Estarylla 2 months ago due to a change in my insurance. In these past 2 months I’ve experienced an increase of acne on my face as well as a general loss of appetite and stomach sensitivities. The worst of it has been during my periods. On the second day of my first period after starting Estarylla, I experienced stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, very comparable to food poisoning, which is what I thought it was at the time. Today, the day before my 2nd period on this medication, I’m experiencing the same thing, and now I know it’s not food poisoning or a simple coincidence. I’ve stopped taking this pill immediately and have already switched back to my previous prescription of Femynor because I know that pill actually works with my body well.Read More Read Less

Started off with sprintec my first month for acne then was switched to this brand because of my insurance. I was very nauseous the first 2 months or so then acne got worse but that all went away. Now about 4 months in I will say my skin is amazing and acne is completely gone!! However... I have gained some weight about 10 pounds or so but mostly because it has given me uncontrollable hunger. I am also bloating like never before and have been more anxious and some days even depressed. I don’t feel like myself anymore so I am going to stop taking it tomorrow but hopefully find a new birth control soon. I would personally rather have my acne than the symptoms it has given me. 3 stars for clear face as this was the reason I started taking it. Read More Read Less

I'm 17 and have never taken birth control before and I wish I never have because this pill has scarred me. I took for my absence of menstrual periods and my doctor prescribed this for me but I never expected to feel the way I am. After the first 2 weeks, everything was fine, but when it came to the end of the 2nd week, that's when I started feeling the side effects. I immediately stopped because I was feeling tired, depressed, and extremely anxious. I've never felt this way before and I would freak myself out and end up getting panic attacks. I NEVER want to experience this feeling again. It's day 6 of me not taking it and I still feel extremely anxious. If I don't feel any better after the 7th day of not taking it, I'm gonna go to my doctor and ask her what I should do, or what medication I should use to decrease these feelings. I just want to do the things I once loved to do.Read More Read Less

I 17, I was on mononessa, but they stopped making it so I was switched to this. I began taking it, a week later I began to have terrible jaw pain. I didn't think it was this at all i thought it was a dental issue because I did grind my teeth. After many dentist appts and even physical therapy including dry needling, over the course of four months of pain, headaches, and my jaw being so tight it was harder to eat and so painful. Idk why, but one night I began looking up this medication and saw a random side effect for jaw pain and tightness in the muscles around mouth/neck. I was so frustrated so I quit taking it, made a DR appt. She said she didn't believe it was the medication causing it. But it was because it stopped happening less than 2 weeks into taking it. I had been doing so much including dry needling which is not comfortable but it would relieve it for the day it was done. Which was nice because I had constant pain, and my mouth could not open to the normal amount. Needless to say, believe yourself even if your DR doesn't believe you. I began the shot after this. This medication is by far the WORST I've ever taken. I'm entering my 3rd week of usage and the side effects are ridiculous. I got the worst yeast infection of my life with severe vaginal itching a week after starting. I've been experiencing extreme nausea and vomiting. My vision gets blurry and my body shakes. I got my cycle the 2nd week. It normally lasts 4 days. It's been a week and it's just as heavy as the first day. I'm having crippling cramps and back pain accompanied by ABNORMALLY LARGE clots. I will not take another pill and I don't recommend that anyone take this POISON either. Read More Read Less

I started Estarylla because Mononessa wasn't being manufactured anymore. I used Mononessa without any major issues for about 16 years. About 1-2 months on Estarylla I had severe external vaginal itching. My OBGYN said it could be an external yeast infection(I did not have any discharge). But the only thing in my routine that had changed was the med. After doing some research it seemed others who were on Mononessa that were switched to Estarylla had symptoms when they previously did not, even with the active ingredients being the same. It is possible my body was having an issue with the inactive ingredients. After about 4 reoccurring episodes of this I couldn't take it anymore so I stopped the medication. The itching went away and I have been symptom free for 5 months. my sex drive is WAY better and I didn't even know it was "poor" since I've been on hormonal oral contraceptives since I was 15. This birth control is hell in pill form. My dermatologist switched me from trinessa which I loved and had 0 problems with to estarylla which was supposed to help my acne. My acne has never been worse I am getting pimples INSIDE MY EARS and in places I have NEVER gotten acne before even when I was in middle school and never washed my face and wore makeup that clogged my pores. The worse part? My period is so irregular and HEAVY. Irregular meaning since I have been on this pill I have had 2 periods which lasted for 2. MONTHS. And it was heavy, and it was so heavy it wasn't even red anymore it was black. Im a 19 year old female and I really needed to share my experience to try to warn/help others.Read More Read Less

My 15 y.o. daughter begged to get b.c. pills. We went to a doctor and got this prescription. She started taking it in May, so now it's 5 months. She gained at least 20 pounds. Acne broke out again. She is in constant depression with suicidal thoughts. And she is never been like this before. I threw away left over pills yesterday. If I were a lawyer, I would sue a doctor for prescribing this "safe" as she said medication. I will try to keep my daughter from taking b.c. pills as long as I can. Please, don't ever take Estarylla.Read More Read Less

I’ve been on birth control for over 15 years now with a couple year breaks here and there and have never had issues this bad. I have only been on this particular pill for less than two months and I have horrible headaches every other day and my boobs are constantly sore as hell. I also have been spotting a lot which I’ve never done on other birth control. The worst part, besides the extreme weight gain, is the mood swings. I’m legit psycho right now. Just someone’s presence or the smallest thing will trigger me and I’ll be outraged. It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced and it’s not fair to the people around me. I would never recommend this pill. Read More Read Less

I had to stop taking it after 3 weeks. I started the pack on a Sunday and exactly 3 Sundays later I never stopped bleeding. I have broke out with really bad acne on my face that will not go away. Itâ??s made me feel sick and nauseous constantly everyday. I feel like I need to throw up all the time.
