My atrophy was so bad that I couldn't sit comfortably. Premarin cream did nothing. Osphena is a miracle for me. But Medicare won't cover it! It's made for Senior women so it's foolish that Medicare doesn't cover it. Medicare covers Viagra! Are Senior men supposed to have sex with 30 year old women?

I chose a new GYN Dr. due to the fact that I felt I was not getting the help I was asking for based on extremely painful intercourse. My new Dr. put me on Osphena, and after being on it for 10 days, I realized that I was having extreme anxiety, but I did not relate it to this medication. I suffer from severe depression, and I just thought it had been a really tough year in ALL aspects of my life. ...

Actually haven't had sex yet, but am not dry so will try to soon. Have felt dizzy and dropping things like I am pms or something. Also, wonder if the pain in my neck is a clot or something: throbbing pulse. so expensive!

After trying other medications, I was hoping this was the solution. It was not. Painful intercourse continues, but always localized to right side only. Had hot flashes on a daily basis.

After 6 weeks on the drug I started experiencing extreme anxiety a few hours after taking dose. Not sure if I am going to continue. However, drug is very effective in decreasing vaginal pain during intercourse. I also had hot flashes which I could tolerate.

Noticed a difference after only 3 days but stopped taking after a week as it was giving me a painful sinus type headache. The headaches would wake me up at night too.

I had been on estrace cream for years until it was no longer effective. Started using osphena 2 months ago and it has decreased my dryness, but not as much as I would like.

I have been on osphena for 3 1/2 months. No changes in my condition. Painful intercourse has not lessened, making it now impossible. Trying to figure out my next option!

Premarin cream didn't help my problem with painful intercourse. I have had hot flashes with the cream and so far those haven't increased being on this new med. I have very high hopes for this med. I know when my husband started using the newly marketed daily Cialis, his insurance wouldn't pay for it but it does now. Time will provide other insurance companies to recognize this med for the ladies.

The packaging that this medication comes in is ridiculous. Getting the pills out of the packaging can take minutes for those of us with arthritis in our hands. Whoever designed this packaging has no understanding that people taking it are at an age when dexterity can be an issue.

I started having vaginal dryness a few years ago and it make intercourse impossible even with lubricants. I started osphena about three months ago and it made the world of difference. The dryness is gone and the is no longer burning or pain. However, I am concerned every time I read that there is a risk of cervical cancer taking low doses of estrogen. I love the results of this drug, but still apprehensive because it is still pretty new, not to mention $100 every month!

Oh ladies, the easy way to get the pill out is to peal the back off first (the hard cardboard like covering) then the pill is really easy to push out. You may want to use scissor to take the back off if you find yourself struggling to take it off. For people who are having sleep problems and muscle spasms. Try a product call (Natural Calm). It's Magnesium and a lot of people are deficient in it. I take this everyday. It's to relax you, help you with sleep, muscle aches and much more. This may be the reason why I didn't have any side effects. I got mines from Amazon but I think you can get it from a whole food market as well. Hope this helps. I'm not saying taking this is going to be your solution, but it helped me. God Bless Read More Read Less

I'm so happy my GYN put me on this medication. I am a 44 year old woman who had a partial hysterectomy 5 yrs ago. I start started experiencing dryness this year (2014), but not had the urge to have sex in years. I guess I'm having pre-menopausal symptoms. Well let me tell you…I started noticing result (small) after 2 week on this medication. I started feeling a little horny. However, most people want see results that quick, but I did. Now, it’s been 5 week and sex is fantastic with no side effects. Yeah, I have a little discharge but it’s that the point (moisture). Besides, getting wet during sex…. My vagina is very sensitive in the inside. It’s like my cells in the inside woke up and working now. It feels like or maybe even better than when I was in my twenties. Oh, not to mention if I do get a yeast infection (because I still do) I just pop one of those diflucans pills and it goes away. I know the package says not to take it, but I did several times and nothing happened. It may not be that way for some people, but I had to take that change. Away, if this medication is making me feel this way in 5 week than I can’t wait for the upcoming week. Ladies I hope and pray this pill also work for you because life is short and it’s our time. I was prescribed Osphena for vaginal dryness and for help with UTI's. I have been taking this daily for almost one month. I must say it is working for me. The added increase to my libido was a nice surprise. I have had a few leg cramps but nothing that I can't live with. I work out on a regular basis;so I am used to a few leg cramps now and then. I see many complaints about the packaging. If you will just follow the instructions and push in (a little effort is needed here) from the front side of the package the pill comes out pretty easy. I am quite pleased with this product. At 61 I still enjoy sex and the many wonderful benefits it gives to our mind, body and soul. I hope this continues to work for me!Read More Read Less

Day 4. Only side effect so far is sore breasts. Have not experienced this since pregnancy 38 years ago! Not sure if this is a true side effect or if something else is going on. Read the side effects, but didn't see anything about sore breasts.
