I am just past the 8th week of using Soolantra. The first 3 weeks were horrible, my pustules almost doubled and my skin became very dry but I stuck with it and at 4 weeks I started noticing some improvements with minor flares in between. My skin still isn't perfect and I still have a tiny flare once a week that really only lasts a day but overall it has dramatically improved my skins appearance. I was prescribed Soolantra for my rosacea by a dermatologist. Within about 3-4 days my skin started hurting when you touched it and became very red and inflammed. By about the 5th day I had tiny hive-like bumps everywhere I had been using the cream. Once it was bad enough I quit applying the cream but the next couple of days the hives did not go away and my lips and tongue started to swell. My PCP gave me a steroid shot and I took Prednisone for a week to make it clear up. This medicine seems extreme to me, considering Ivermectin is a parasitic cream and after reading more about it treats mostly severe parasitic infestations like scabies, ascariasis and others. Other than the price, this compound is amazing. No question that it works but I am not sure I can afford it once the discount coupon goes away.

I've been using Soolantra 1x/daily in evening for 6-weeks and have noticed quite a difference. I'm primarily a blusher but did get a few Rosacea bumps. My skin is softer, smoother, with no flakes or pealing, less inflammation and I no longer get Rosacea bumps. It does not cure the disease but really lessens the effects of a Rosacea for me. It seems to help heal the skin barrier as well.

I have read that Soolantra only works on 80% of those with Rosacea. Thank heaven I am one of the lucky ones. This drug has absolutely improved my skin. This is the best I have looked in years. (Glad I have insurance)

My dermatologist gave me Miravaso (to use every morning) and Soolantra (to use every evening)and told to use a cleanser (Cetaphil recommended). After three weeks, my rosacea was worse than before. I eliminated the cleanser, used Miravaso on one side of my face and Soolantra on the other side. I noticed that the Miravaso side was improving, but the Soolantra side was getting worse. Other people confirmed my evaluation. Then I switched sides. In only two days, the new Soolantra side, which had been looking much better, became red, bumpy, and swollen. Week 4 and I can't stand it any more! My face is covered in whitehead pimples. My Dr said to give it 12 weeks, but I just can't do it. I will go back to using Finecea/Metrogel.

Went to see my dermatologist again concerning particularly bad flare up (15 or so whitehead/red spots). Prescribed soolantra and for the next 3 days, my face exploded with 40 plus large red bumps plus redness. Skin felt "like butter" as someone else said but had to quit. Went back to aczone/finacea and switched from doxycline to amoxycillin and started to clear immediately. Not willing to try again, sorry!

I have always had skin problems (acne, hives, eczema, pre-cancerous moles, sensitive skin, rashes--the works!). I also have severe allergies. I was diagnosed with Rosacea in October of last year (lucky me--it is the DEVIL!). After a VERY depressing and stressful six months, my dermatologist prescribed Soolantra. This has been the ONLY thing that has helped. I have tried Metrogel, Finacea, sulfur creams/masks/washes, Aczone, Differin, Oracea, Doxycycline 100 mg, Yaz, Spironolactone.......Soolantra has been the only thing that has helped clear my skin. I am wondering if I actually just have a sensitivity to Demodex mites since I am highly allergic to dust mites?? Anyway--Soolantra works. I guess I am blessed to be one of the lucky 80% for whom this drug works. In the past I have tried everything I could get my hands on, (or afford) and Soolantra is the best by far.

I used this for one month starting slowly, every other night. Skin like butter in the mornings. Helped redness. After 3 weeks, loads of blackheads. Instead of applying all over face, I tried just spot treating. Woke up to irritation and blackheads around those spots! Another bad product from Galderma. Beyond disappointed, again...will let skin rest and try again, just to make sure.

I have been on Soolantra for 4 weeks. The first two weeks my skin was far worse. Perhaps the worst it had ever been, but starting week 3 great improvement. Today after a month of use there are no bumps, dry patches or redness! Success.

This is the best solution to controlling my papulopustular rosacea that I have tried in the 14 years since I was diagnosed. I apply the Soolantra cream to my face overnight and wake up to very smooth, less oily, less scaly, less red and less itchy skin than I have experience in years. Low dose oral accutane and IPL treatments have been helpful over the years, but the ease of use, reasonable price and effectivesness of Soolantra are just outstanding. 4 thumbs up!

Its working so far

It is very easy to apply and it does not effect my makeup regimen. Most important, it is by far the most effective treatment I have tried. My bumps and redness are gone. Finally something that works.

Soolantra has help my face so much. It really works for me.

I almost reviewed Soolantra after my third week. I am glad I waited another week. I went from a second very bad flair up to skin that looks pre-Roscea. I have had several friends and coworker who have noticed the improvement.
