I am a type 1 on insulin pump. Afrezza at mealtime has been much easier to stay and get into target range. I can correct a high in 30-40 minutes, as opposed to 2-3 hours otherwise. Have not overshot my corrections and had bad hypos like I do on pure liquid insulin. But have only been on Afrezza 10 days, so we'll see. Feels much easier on my body so far without so much of the lightheadedness of regular insulin. It seems to give me a wider margin of error in dosing. I am spending more time in target range and less time out of range making corrections and rechecking. I like that it is so fast acting and I know where I am at in 30 minutes and dont have the two or more hour blood sugar drop that I am so used to. I liken being on Afrezza like driving on pavement vs. driving on ice.Read More Read Less

Afrezza has been nothing short of a miracle in my life. It works so much faster than the Humalog is used to use. Higher lows, lower highs, soft landings, no insulin stacking problems, no snacking between meals to feed the insulin. No carb counting, no finger sticks for blood sugar testing. Quick corrections between meals when necessary. I can go to bed at night assured of my blood sugar levels and that I won't die in my sleep. My time spent in range is amazing! The fact that Afrezza is conveniently inhaled would be enough for me to make the switch, but all these other factors are SO much more valuable and life changing to me! THANK YOU Sanofi and MannKind is all I can say! This drug will change the game across the entire spectrum of the disease.Read More Read Less
