I would be out of breath taking the garbage cans to the curb and walking back into the house at times the last few years, I had become very stagnant. Since starting Entresto on Jan 4th in lieu of Lisinopril I am out 5 days a week walking my sister's dog for 45 minutes, I feel like a new man. I have zero side effects and am highly recommending this drug to anyone with CHF...

I have been on entresto for less than a year my ejection fraction went from 25 to 35 percent. I havso much energy now before I started entresto I couldn't even get out of bed. My doctor had me on the lowest dose once a day just put me on it twice a day. I'm so thankful for this medication.

MY BLOOD PRESSURE DROPPED TO 94/48 AND DID THIS EVERY DAY FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS, SO I DISCONTINUED USE OF ENTRESTO. I HAD NO ENERGY AND SLEPT ALL DAY. I HAD TAKEN IT FOR ABOUT ONE AND A HALF YEARS. I WILL NOT TAKE ENTRESTO EVER AGAIN.

When my ejection fraction hit 29, my doctor prescribed Entresto. With =in two weeks, my stools were dark; 3 weeks red. I ended up in the hospital needing 8 units of blood. Endoscopy, angiogram, colonoscopy and more showed nothing. After the drug got out of my system, totally normal for over a year, Won't ever touch Entresto again. Might have killed me. I started exercising again after the episode. My ejection fraction is normal. Bad drug in my experience.

Admittedly I only started this drug a couple of days ago and experienced light headedness and dizziness as well as wanting to go to sleep when I just got up! The jury is out whether I stay on it. I will give it a couple of more days but from what I have read in the reviews, not enough testing has been done on individuals with differing heart conditions! I had no information in the packet on the drug and its side effects, that to me is a negative point. I had to go on the internet to find information. My heart history is Mitral valve regurg., as well as enlarged heart and had a biventrictular pacemakers and AV node ablation. This prolonged period of AF before treatment has caused the mitral valve to falter and I now need open heart surgery to fix this. I wish Drs would not use patients to experiment on. It was bad enough that no one could tell me the effects of what I would experience post pacemaker! Wait and see....wait and see!Read More Read Less

I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy in April 2017. My ejection fraction was under 25%. I was put into a clinical trail for Entresto and have been taking the highest dosage for 6 months. I have had no adverse side effects and my ejection fraction is up to 46% now. This drug is amazing.

I feel like a new person on this medication. My ejection fraction is 10% and prior to Entresto, I could only go to work and come home and go to bed. Now I am functioning more like a normal person with much improved energy. Prior to Entresto, I felt as if I was going to die very soon. Now I feel as if I can and want to live. Thank goodness for this new drug. It appears that it is a miracle drug for some patients but not for others. I wonder why.

When I was first taken off of Enalapril started Entresto on the lowest dosage (50mg), the only side effect I had was lack of energy. My dosage was double to 100mg after a few weeks. That was when I started noticing worse side effects. Breathing difficulties was the most significant. I also noticed my energy levels decreased even further, lightheadedness and dizziness when standing, dry mouth, increased thirst, and throat swelling (all of which I'm suffering at the moment.) As suggested on the insert for this medication, I will not be taking my next PM and AM dosage and will be calling my cardiologist first thing in the morning.Read More Read Less

My son had an EJ of 29. He took 1 per day of the smallest dose and his EJ is up to 35. However, his legs, feet and ankles swelled a lot. He is now taking HCTZ daily for the swelling and it is working. If the swelling stays down for another week I am going to give him this twice a day. If he swells I will go back to the once daily."

I am 50 years old and have been dealing with Congestive Heart Failure for 10 years. I was given Entresto in Dec 2016 and it has made a total turn around for me. Feel so much better even though my blood pressure runs low - 100/64 this morning. This is a miracle drug for me so far.

I had immediate reaction after taking the 1st dose and had to stop after the 3rd dose of entresto 24mg. My breathing became labored, I got dizzy and weak. I had increased swelling in my feet and legs. I was coughing out of controll and almost passed out in the shower. I spent the night in my recliner because I could not lay down in my bed. I gained 5 lbs. over night. This medication is not for me. I do not know if I had this reaction because of my other medications or if it is just a bad medication for me.Read More Read Less

I was on this medication for about 9 weeks as my EF was low. My HF dr. felt that I would benefit from it. For the first month, I was good. All positive reaction from the medicine. Towards the end of the 4th week, I noticed a huge hair loss when I washed my hair and since then they haven't stopped. I recently stopped taking it after 9 weeks due to continuous hair fall. Hope now that I have stopped taking it and will go back to Enalapril, my hair fall problem goes away.

I am 59 years old and had HF for the past couple of years. EF went from 35 to 25 so they tried Entresto. Could only take 24/26 once a day because it knocked me on my butt. Shortness of breath, dizzy, chest pain, etc. Just before 2 weeks, I gave up because my symptoms were worse with it than without it.

My mother (61) has been using this medicine for 3 weeks now, after her LVEF was found to be 20-25%. I am not sure about the medicine's impact on the LVEF yet. But there seem to be several changes in her body - she feels more tired now than before, her back pain has become more severe, she has 3 episodes of blackouts, and nausea has worsened. Her KFT results are also not good for the first time (high potassium, urea and uric acid). We will continue the medicine for one more week, do one round of KFT, and consult with the doctor.Read More Read Less
