Provigil has been WONDERFUL. For the past seven years I have been fighting to find out what is wrong with me. All I wanted to do was sleep, I felt awful. The first doctor called it depression and I tried three different SRIs before taking prozac for 4 years. About 1-1/2 years ago I decided to wean off the prozac. I felt I was missing my life. I wasn't the me I missed. I found another doctor,...
i frankly asked you i used this product since 4 months but it's totally waste my money i don't gate any satisfaction for used this product please do not used this product otherwise your choice.

I also have end stage copd on 3ltr. continous O2 and tend to tire very easily. This not only helps spending more time with the family but also takes my mind away from my cond. at times and lets me do a few of the things I enjoy. Like My devoted Wife, family, grandchildren, pets, friends and this makes every breath taken or extra time with loved ones leeds me to believe they are the reason for my being!

I rotate Provigil with Amantadine and Ritalin for the fatigue I have from my MS. It lasts about a year before I have to start again with one of the other ones. They all last about 1 year before I become immune or they are not as effective as they started out. It has been a godsend for me. It helps me focus and stay alert. I like what it does for me, so does my husband, not so tired all the time.

It has been a major benefit for my fatigue associated with MS. I have also lost over 40 pounds from it.

provigil has helped me focus and concetrate better and deal with the constant fatigue i exprience with multiple sclerosis. I take either 100mgs or 200mgs 3 or 4 times a week, depending on how much i need to accomplish...It has been a blessing!!!

I'm taking Provigil for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is an immune disorder. I've noticed I develop a low grade fever within an hour of taking Provigil. If I take it more than 2 days in a row, I become aware of succumbing to a general feeling of infection, so I make it a point to only take it for important events, at the most once a week. It DOES make it easier to get through a day, but I do have to pay for it in terms of rest for a couple of days after. I've also noticed I develop a headache around my eyes due to hyper-focusing my eyes, not my brain. To summarize, Provigil not only keeps my candle burning, it allows me to burn it at both ends.Read More Read Less

The medication worked wonderfully for my narcolepsy. However, I was one of the rare cases with the severe side effects. I was completely unaware of the change in my mental/emotional state; I thought my feelings, moods, and thoughts were normal and justified. My depression, irratiblity and abnormal thoughts almost caused me to get a divorce. Luckily I stopped the medication and got a clearer mind. Be very open to the observations of the people close to you. They can notices changes that you don't see. Read More Read Less

Treating for cronic fatigue with my MS. Since I have syarted taking this medication. I can make it though most of the day before I fill like I will drop from exhaustion. I did have to "Play" with the time of day I take this so that it doesn't prevent me from sleeping at night. If I take it around 11AM it seems to work best. After 2PM it interfers with sleep.

Was wiped-out by 13:00. Began taking this medicine and was able to begin to become productive again during the day. Is not a cure-all, however. Still must work on lifestyle.

Became hyperactive, jittery, couldn't focus on anything, overly-talkative, and I still had episodes of going to sleep at inappropriate times such as when I was driving, watching a movie, etc. Had a heart attack/cardiac arrest and cardiologist pulled me off this medicine immediately. (Probably should have had a good physical prior to being put on this drug, but it was prescribed w/o anything other than my complaint of going to sleep periodically during the day.)

This has been a wonder pill for me. I am in a battle with my insurance company to pay for the pills. I went off the medication for 7 days and was so depressed because i was always wanting to sleep, headaches, confused and very angry. My doctor helped me to get me back on.

MS caused sleeplessness plus intense fatigue. Provigil absolutely saved me from being a couch potato. Before, I was spent after work and could do little besides go to bed after work - sometimes not even strong enough to eat. I still have intense fatigue daily, but taking more Provigil makes me too jittery and no sleep at night.

I asked my doctor for Provigil because I had been having attacks of sleepiness while driving, even after adequate sleep. I made two long rood trips, 7,000 miles total, and the Provigil kept me alert but not jittery. I'll never make a trip without Provigil again! BTW, I found half a caplet twice a day before four PM was plenty and did not prevent my sleeping at night. Only side effect was a slight headache and some very slight queasiness. Generally I felt great.
