Repatha has really zapped my cholesterol. I was unable to tolerate any Stanton or non stantons, I had severe muscle pain with both. I am about 4 months in on Repatha use and am having dull aggravating muscle pain all over, don't know why, but seems have started after starting Repatha. I am also having joint aches that I have never had before. I think I am going to skip my next dose and see if ther...

My 83-yr old mother has had two strokes and was taking Welchol to lower her cholesterol. It was not working so the doctor prescribed Repatha, calling it the new miracle drug. She took 3 doses, two weeks apart and then developed severe neuropathy. She said it felt like the blood was boiling in her hands and feet...it is very painful and dibilitating. The doctor could only surmise that her cholester...

3 years after heart attack my cholesterol was still way to high. After 3 months of Repatha it is down to where it should be. Side effects are severe lower back pain and extreme fatigue, runny nose. I can barely sweep the flood or vacuum and even take a walk outside anymore. Not sure how much longer i can stay on it.

Lowered my cholesterol but side effects forced me to stop using it. Even half a dose caused abdominal pains for several days.

I had 2 Repatha shots in August 2017 after a heart attack and inability to take statins. This shot has nearly killed me in anyways. I was active, now can hardly keep house and cook. Arthritis pains all over my body never had before. The actual fat on bottom front of both feet has gone down to only about 20% which means walking is hard period. I am also now diagnosed a diabetic, which was just recently noted Repatha can cause high blood sugar. I hurt all over, can't take nsaids even. I am frustrated, the damage is done, and I don't think it is reversible ever. I pray for all I read about like me on these sites, and I sincerely hope they get it off the market. There will be law suits, and should be. The makers and sellers should inject themselves and all their family in the stomach with just 2 of these and see how life is for them after that. Downright a sin to sell poison. I don't believe the good reviews on here. Others like me are scared or shy and do not share, but I read 3 drug review sites and they are full of people worse off than me. It's a killer. A sin to sell. Now the fat under both upper feet has gone.Read More Read Less

I have taken 4 doses. I been having dizziness and overall not feeling well. This morning my wife said I seemed disoriented. These symptoms have seemingly gotten worse with each dose. I unable to take any other statins for all the side effects, too.

I have been taking statins for 40 years, changed my diet drastically, had open heart surgery for clogged arteries and this is the only medicine that has reduced my LDL so dramatically. But I have not been without side effects; cough, runny nose and dizziness. I will continue taking it for a year or until I canâ??t manage the side effects.

Everyone in my family has high cholesterol and both of my brothers had heart attacks before they turned 50. I had severe side effects with all statins, but Repatha has sure decreased my cholesterol levels. For the first 2-3 months I had few side effects, other than some fatigue and muscle pain for a day after the injection. But in the 4 months since then I've experienced increasing fatigue, muscle pain and weakness, and my legs and feet, and my knees do not seem to work properly. I've had a lot of brain fog, poor memory, and irritability, which is very unusual for me. I've had to curtail my exercise due to fatigue and weak legs, and I've gained 10 lbs. I also have a dry, hacking cough which made me unable to sing with my choir for the past 4 months. I'm only 60, and very active and energetic, so these side effects are majorly impacting my life. I'm seeing my cardiologist next week and will discuss this with him.Read More Read Less

After just one treatment of Rapatha on Nov 21, 2018, I developed severe muscle pain in my shoulders, hands, feet and inner thighs. It was as if I had a serious case of rheumatoid arthritis. I knew immediately that I would ever take another shot of Rapatha again. I'm thankful that I was able to read reviews which corroborated by side effects. I have notified the FDA and will notify Amgen as well. The FDA should never have approved this drug and certainly Amgen should have listed how serious the side effects can be. Read More Read Less

Developed diahhrea, vertigo and severe fatigue. Been off 6mos and still have side effects. Am afraid I will never regain my health. Better to die from high cholesterol than suffering from debilitating side effects. This drug was not researched enough before it was put on the market. Another example of big pharma focusing on making money than concern for users health.

It lowered my cholesterol a lot better than statins and has fewer side effects. The main problem I have with it is muscle pains, mostly at night. But I was really happy to hear that my cholesterol has finally gone down to a good place after many years and it took approx. 6 months. I recommend using this instead any statin.

I tried this for a few months and experienced some flu like symptoms one day a few days after injection. They side effects gradually increased, so I stopped. About a year later, I tried again due to my cholesterol being close to 500. I have been on it for 7 months with no notable side effects. Total cholesterol is now 137.

I just want to say that if statins gave you problems then Repatha may also give you problems. Do a web search on "Repatha and peripheral neuropathy". Most people would rather die early because of high cholesterol than live with the peripheral neuropathy that cholesterol lowering drugs can cause.

I have had zero side effects, and find the process to be very easy. The chemical impact (in my case along side Crestor and Zetia) has been as expected and no other issues.

This drug definitely lowed my cholesterol. I was told by my doctor there were relatively NO side effects. I originally though I pulled my back out and then developed leg and hip pain so badly that I went to an orthopedist. He said my X-rays didnâ??t show anything but I had so much weakness in my left side that he recommended I use a Cane and start physical therapy. Both of my hands became weak and I started having difficulty opening jars. I am 59 years old and it finally became clear that it was this drug that I was told had no side effects was causing all this pain and damage to my muscles and joints. I stopped the drug two months ago and began improving immediately. I hope that there is no permanent damage caused by this drug. It is so discouraging that this medication is supposed to replace statins turns out to have much worse side effects!!!Read More Read Less

I took the 2 weekly injections for about 8 months. My went down to 71. BUT the side effects were so bad, I stooped after my last injection in September 2017. Side effects started with thick white mucus and coughing. Then the feet and leg swelling, HUGE, could not wear any shoes. One morning woke up choking on thick, sticky, white stringy mucus, that I had to actually pull from my throat. GROSS. Not long after my legs started to collapse, like they did with the Statin drugs. Then shortly, my feet, legs started burning and hurting so bad I cried, ( I am 74. I have to REALLY hurt to do that) Went to Dr. he diagnosed it Nephropathy. Gave me Meds for that. But I still had severe muscle pain and couldn't walk 10 feet. I have since regained some of the leg and feet strength, even though it seems with the damage to the nerves and muscles will never be as good as they should be and the burning sensation and pain will stay. Seems the damage is done. Read More Read Less

It causes back ache, all joints ache, awful nausea, headache behind eyes, no energy. I had 2 free shots, quit from pain and nausea. Now I am typed Diabetic Type 2, And the experimental drug Repatha alters the liver, I'm pretty sure it put me in diabetes. Poison, but money for the makers who should inject it in themselves and their family. Disgusted, prayerful God will pull me thorough all of this.

I am stopping after 3 injections. Overall I feel terrible. No energy and feeling depressed. Body fatigue and sore muscles are any everyday experience. My thinking is not clear. My overall experience is much worse than with statins.
