Repatha has really zapped my cholesterol. I was unable to tolerate any Stanton or non stantons, I had severe muscle pain with both. I am about 4 months in on Repatha use and am having dull aggravating muscle pain all over, don't know why, but seems have started after starting Repatha. I am also having joint aches that I have never had before. I think I am going to skip my next dose and see if ther...

My 83-yr old mother has had two strokes and was taking Welchol to lower her cholesterol. It was not working so the doctor prescribed Repatha, calling it the new miracle drug. She took 3 doses, two weeks apart and then developed severe neuropathy. She said it felt like the blood was boiling in her hands and feet...it is very painful and dibilitating. The doctor could only surmise that her cholester...

Check your blood sugar with Repatha. I am a keto diet person with controlled blood sugar around 110. After two doses of Repatha my fasting blood sugar is 267. I have not changed a thing with my diet. I.m done with Repath. Besides, we all know cholesterol doesn't.cause heart disease........SUGAR does. I'm starting to believe doctors are stupid.

I have been on Repatha as a last resort for 2 years, 1 injection every 14 days. First the pen is difficult to use the 2nd click doesn't always work and it is painful. Stopped using for 6 months for abdominal pain and issues. Restarted and side affects are worse after the 3rd injection. Nausea, body aches, flu like symptoms, fatigue. Worst is the inflammation it causes to the intestines causes bloating and distended abdomen and in turn severe constipation and weight gain. After this last dose my lips have started to peal and headaches and tingling. Absolutely going to stop taking this poison. Weighing risk and benefits it is the best decision for me. I'm 69 years old and will continue to eat healthy and live my best life. Take control of your own health decisions. Read More Read Less

After taking this medication for 6-12 months now I have noticed that muscle pain has slowly gotten worse along with fatigue and my seasonal allergies never get better even with my normal over the counter allergy medicine. Then my new doctor tells me my blood sugar is high. I am 5ft and weigh 110lbs. So I am not overweight. I have never had diabetes so I did some research on this drug and guess what. It can cause drug induced diabetes with muscle neuropathy. Wow! I cannot believe that they would allow this drug on the market. I am 68yrs old and certainly do not need anymore health issues. Doctors need to do more research on the drugs they prescribe to their patients. Thank you to my new doctor for making me aware of the elevated blood sugar. I stopped this medicine immediately.Read More Read Less

Initially my experience was good. My cholesterol numbers dropped in half. Eventually I started having muscle, joint pain and fatigue. The fatigue may be partly from my inability to get comfortable at night. I feel like my quality of life is declining. Now taking more meds for pain. Despite good numbers I’m not sure I can continue with this drug.

I have been on Repatha for at least one years. It’s doing a great job on bringing all my cholesterol numbers to where they need to be. The problem I have with Repatha is the injection hurts like hell. Some times I can’t take the pain and pull the injector out before it’s empty. Dumb I know but the pain is excruciating. Is the needle too big or what? I was on Praulent for several years but had to switch to Repatha because as we all know insurance dictates what meds we take by what they will cover. I never had any pain ever with the Praulent shot. Repatha please help me!Read More Read Less

I started Repatha in March 2023. My cholesterol is great now. Last check it was 150 something. I am having side effects. Muscle pain and extreme fatigue for about two days after each injection. I take two injections a month. My fitbit showed my readiness score to be a 1 and a 15 when I felt my worst. I had to miss work. This hasn't been as extreme everytime, but we will see. Also wear a brace for right forearm muscle pain for a few days after dose as well. Have had a couple of episodes of not being able to catch my breath which I have never had before. I am five months in. Going to hang in there as long as I can and hope for the best.Read More Read Less

I share the sane experience as two other people have here. Being a relatively newish drug hence more reports to emerge in time. As for Me? I am dine with drug induced illnesses. First Statins causing other severe health issues and now Repartha. Repartha is effective. But it also slowly and gradually, starting from my calfs, then eventually over time up to my legs and then to my buttocks tingly, warmish and at time cold sensations. Went to get this fiagnosed. It turned out to be pheriphial neuropathy. Naturally i strongky suspect it being caused by Reoartha and stopped it. My legs gradually improved over a the next 5 months. Thank goodness for that. I no longer take this rubbish, that reaos in billions in for pharmacy companies. Doctors only focus on the symptoms.... Not the cause. So they treat the symptoms. I am doing just fine with the whole plant base diet. We all run on different cholesterol levels. One size simply does not fit all. Doctors are hapoy to push these medications. They are used as a tool to sell a product.Read More Read Less

First I’m a x college athlete avid Gym rat and exercise outdoors a lot -have kept my weight the same for last 35 years but my family gene produces high cholesterol.I tried all the regular statins .they all made me hurt an have arthritic pains These injections dropped my numbers in half to where my doc stated with these new numbers I’m not even a risk of a cardio issues due to these new low cholesterol numbers If a lil soreness is the only side effect compared to the risk of not taking the injection well I will take the injections The only negative issue is the cost!! Even with my part D drug plan the cost kicks my butt $$$ Read More Read Less

I have taken many medications to lower my levels, none have worked. This product will lower levels. However, I have had extremely bad aches in legs and a very tough time breathing properly. I've been to so many specialists trying to find out why my throat and tightening in larynx is causing me to cough. I have chills, sore throat, muscle pains to the 10's!!! I feel like my body is deteriorating. I guess this product doesn't affect some people and they think it's because some like to complain about everything. The truth is... I have continued taking this product because it has lowered my levels. I have never had stomach issues, but this product makes me vomit every day unless I take a nausea pill. It has made me so depressed thinking there was something wrong with me until I learned that it is affecting others the same. I haven't heard anyone on here stating that it made them vomit. These are not the only side effects I've encountered. I feel as though it has taken my ability to thrive as a human. At what cost does one pay to be healthy? It's very sad even changing my diet, exercising, and ignoring these horrific side effects just to get on this page and find out that it's not just me. I'm just really grateful that I came across this page of others who are dealing with the same side affects. Those of you who are lucky enough to have this product work for you.. I think that's great! However, I think I'm going to stop taking it all together. Good luck guys and may God heal us without this stuff.Read More Read Less

I'm statin intolerant so because of triple by pass and high cholesterol my cardiologist talked me into trying Repatha saying it was a clean drug. I took it 10 days ago, started with flu like symptoms but now I have such brain fog and lethargy that I sit all day. Also dizzy like I'm going to pass out. Won't be taking second dose! I felt fantastic before this drug now I feel sick all the time! I consider this poison.

Have been statin-intolerant my entire life. Tried numerous ones. I have been on 140 mg Repatha every two weeks for 4 months. My total chol went from 292 to 150 and LDL 221 to 81. No change in HDL, and triglycerides increased nearly 30 points. I may have moved into Type 2 diabetes. I have minor sore throat, runny nose some injections. But the deal-breaker is the lethargy, no energy, foggy feeling. Like I took a ton of Benadryl! It could be my blood sugar, I will ask dr. But I can barely do anything, exhausted, can’t keep house, etc. I can’t function like this despite it really reducing my total cholesterol and LDL. Maybe our cells need some cholesterol. I have not had a blood test to confirm or deny whether Repatha has significantly decreased cholesterol. But my muscles in my lower back, legs and feet are so painful it’s hijacking’s my time laying in bed. I’m going to stop it and see how if it improves.

At first I experienced a combo of diarrhea and constipation. After a month this subsided. Then my blood pressure went through the roof. My joints started hurting. My heart hurts when trying to exercise. I had to get off the drug.

Repatha has dropped my cholesterol numbers in half or better. I have been on this medication for about 3 months. I am now feeling a lot of side effects from using this medication. Severe joint, back, and muscle pain. Blurred vision comes and goes as well as fatigue. I did talk to my doctor about these issues and she then looked up the side effects and all listed. It is too bad because this was the first cholesterol medication that has worked for me. But I just can't handle the pain I am in now. I hope it works for others. Just thought I would share my experience.Read More Read Less
