Zyprexa for me was the best medication for stabilizing my moods. It immediately calmed me down, helped me get my anxiety under control, and I finally could sleep for more than four hours. The reason for the high dissatisfaction is first, I was sleepy ALL THE TIME. I went from four hours sleep to 12 or more hours sleep, and even after all that I was still sleepy. I had a long commute to wor...

All of my life I have had anxiety and depression. I also have body dysmorphic disorder. I am 23 years old taking prozac and Buspar. These medicines have helped me. But This medication has changed my life. It is awesome! I wish I have had it all of my life. I usually have racing thoughts/voices in my head every day. They are negative voices that tell me "you're ugly, you're fat, you're unattractive, nobody wants you, you should disappear, etc." But this medicine helps more than anything to quiet those negative voices. But if you suffer every day,lIke I do I think this medicine might be good. I used to spend every hour suffering, fighting my thoughts. I couldn't even go into a store. But now don't care as much when I go places. I noticed I am more calm and positive. This medicine makes me want to be more productive and happy. I am on my 2nd-3rd week of taking it. I don't have any side effects so far. This has changed my life and I am so thankful for it. This gives me hopeRead More Read Less

No other drug i tried worked as well as zyprexa. Unfortunately it caused diabetes in me. I still take it because despite the side effects its still better than the alternative.

I took only one pill, and completely blacked out and was found naked miles from home, so no more zyprexa for me. Complete amnesia. This drug should be pulled from the market.

I don't know if this medication works for everyone. Everyone is different. SOmetimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am a frustrated patient who's been taking these meds for years.

Had too many side effects to stay on it, I'm happy they are now listing more with this than they use to. I've not found any drug that has worked for manic-depression or to be politically correct bi-polar.

My psychiatrist, recently, increased my dose to 5 MG. I take it at night. I am sleeping better, am more relaxed ( not anxious), feel more like I think I should feel. I haven't gained any weight and I've been on zyprexa for 2 months. It's really helping me.

I take this medication for schizophrenia (15 mg). It works at eliminating the positive symptoms (delusions, paranoia, etc.). However it took away all of my emotion, energy, libido, and motivation. It also made me gain weight, and increased my cholesterol. I hate this drug.

I was in the hospital. I was having a panic attack great fear. I don't know what the product was to do for me. it did not help with. but I took the pills because I had no choice. I kept running away. it did not change that I was raped and strangled by my coworker and held pics for ransom. which I refused to tell anyone at the time. Not a cop or doctor. but as far zyprexa no one nobody mentioned the too hot too cold. if you are going on this drug; wear a sweater and a t-shirt. you can take off the sweater; on and off on and off. im so depressed; as I no longer smoke. I cant get a drag. don't want sex.no anxiety pills don't work at all might as well be baby aspirin. I am working with my doctor to wake up the pleasure zone in my brain. I just started latuda not sure yet my hand shakes. and he told me I would not gain weight. ps - if you need help go to your doctor. it was impossible to get out, until my insurance ran out Read More Read Less

Dangerous from my experience. Lock it up in a box, not just "out of reach". My child took too much and we didn't know it because it made her sleepy along with some of her other meds. It can increase suicidal thoughts and actions. It's hard to remove from the body or reverse the affects. By the time we realized she had taken an overdose it was too late.

Zero Psychosis except periodic bouts of self-talking. Blood work is good and lots of pounds lost through standard diet and exercise. Thank you Eli Lilly for Zyprexa!

I recently was prescribed Zyprexa (Olanzapine) by a walk-in clinic doctor because I had severe Bipolar depression. I was on Effexor ER and had muscle spasms and was so foggy that I couldn't function. Within days of taking the Zyprexa I completely turned around! It wa AMAZING! I couldn't believe how much better I felt after taking the Zyprexa.

I first took this medication several years ago and it pulled me out of a severe depression. It caused extreme weight gain. Now that I've started taking it again, I feel emotionally numb. It has taken away all feelings and made my head feel foggy, like I can't think straight. I hate the way it's making me feel and am stopping the med tonight.

My son was put on this drug at age 32 for depression by a APRN who had never seen him - The APRN had only spoke to my sister (who was office staff for the APRN) about him. Very irresponsible. My son gained over 60 pounds in a few months, his bp sky rocked, and he became diabetic - just before he died of a fatal arrhythmia- supposedly due to sleep apnea. This drug made my son unresponsive, lethargic, exacerbated his sleep apnea with weight gain and I believe eventually killed him. Before my son passed I spoke to the APRN about taking him off of this drug, she just kept saying "he has to be compliant". Where was her compliance with medical ethics? - she had never seen my son as a patient. Now I read that there is a high probability that this drug causes arrhythmias. Read More Read Less

Zyprexa worked for me but the side effects are Horrible!and it is very expensive, I was paying over $300 per month, then they finally got a generic drug that cost less, and it made me very sleepy, I gained over 195 pounds, yes!I went from 180lbs to 374lbs. my legs and feet swelled up! I have blurred vision, I stopped taking it and now have major side effects: Insomnia, high blood pressure, fatigue, dry throat, dizzyness, belching, dyhydration, constipation, racing thoughts while sleeping, tired all the time, depression. Thirsty all the time, eye sockets feel dry. i dont recommend using this drug, try something else.Read More Read Less
