My doctor prescribed this medicine for depression. It's done nothing be give me migranes. I can't understand why I'm taking a seizure medication for depression?

I have had seizures for over twenty years. I began this medicine to reduce the effects on my kidneys from Triliptal. Easy to transfer over to. Have not seen any change. works the same as Triliptal does.

I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS MEDICATION IS ALSO USED FOR ADHD

Since taking this drug, i'm become a little edgey, feel like throwing up and drowsy.

it is causing my gums to swell and bleed

I am Bipolar and this medication has it completely under control.

My 12 year old daughter has been diagnosed with Bipolar disease with ADHD. To say she is a handful is an understatement. However we have tried many medications and this one is the worse by far. She has only been on this for a week and she isn't herself anymore! She never gets headaches until now and seems to live with a constant one. Plus she has turned meaner than ever. The threats and hitting are turning unbareable for my family. I do not like this drug and are taking her off of this TODAY! I have been on this med for 2 months not only has it helped with my bipolar but I have lost 10 pounds since I have been on it...which is great!!!I would recommend this to anyone that has bipolar disorder!

i just started taking it 2 weeks ago.

I was put on this for anxiety and depression.I have tried most of the others with this one having the least side effects. I have only been on for a week so here's hoping!!!!

I had a bad reaction to this medication. The first and only time I took it, (150mg)It gave me itchy burning red hands that were almost at the stage of peeling, like a bad sunburn by the time I got to a Dr. that afternoon. My hands were also extremely tight, shiny and swollen like mickey mouse hands. Then welts appeared on my body as well as a light rash. I was also dizzy/lightheaded. The drug reaction info did not mention these possible reactions so look out for this when taking it for the first time. I had to take steroids for a week to clear my system of this medication. Worst reaction I have ever had. Get to a dr. asap if your hands start to itch, which is how it started. Read More Read Less

I have been on this med for two years because I had 1 and only 1 mild seizure that I can even notice . I take 2 300 mg tablets twice a day and I only keep taking it so I can sleep at night . As far as seizures are concerned I am not worried at all ( not painfull ). The tests that were performed on me revealed I have three (3) seizures in a single day !? I have stopped taking the medication for several days and started back on it many times and not even a hint of a problem . The main thing I do enjoy is my brain seems more calm ,I sleep very well . And I begain to realize that for any anxiety I felt was due to a lot of coffee I would drink . Just two small cups is enough . Read More Read Less

I was placed on this drug by my neurologist for the treatment of neuropathy in my feet and legs. I have been very happy with its effectiveness so far, I take 600 mg op to 3 times a day as needed for pain.

This drug replaced Lamictal for treatment of Bipolar. The side effect I experienced from Lamictal was intense anxiety attacks. My anxiety was so bad it became debilitating. I was switched to this drug in hopes that it would not produce anxiety. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks of taking it, I am starting to have the same side effects of extreme anxiety. I take an anti depressant and an ADHD medication in addition to this medication. My doctor tells me if I don't take some kind of mood stabilizer I will be in and out of the hospital for the rest of my life. But, my anxiety is so bad I'm willing to take the risk. I hope I can find something that will work as a mood stabilzer that won't cause so much anxiety.Read More Read Less

I take this drug for nerve pain, it has really seem to help,I have tried different types of pain meds due to 3 back surgeries and serve leg pain and numbness, this gives me relief and I am able to sleep at night with no drug hangover in the morning.I was on Neurontin, Lyrica for the nerve pain all they did was make me gain weight,and gave me migrains,constipation and did not help. I am very pleased with this medication.

Gave to me by neurologist for Tranverse Myilitis--damaged nerves in neck and right arm and hand. Some day it hurts and the medication don't help. I take 600 mg a day.I feel like the pain is muscle related also. I feel like this medication is the reason I have gained weight.
