I am so happy to have found these reviews! Like others, my pharmacy switched me from Orsythia to Vienva with no notice and said it was the exact same. I am on my first pack and will be starting my period next week. This pill has been pretty awful. I have had increased anxiety (which I already take medication for), fatigue, headaches, bloating and tender breasts. I called the pharmacy back and they said I shouldn't be having any changes but "unfortunately sometimes that happens". I am going to try to stick it out and see if it gets better over time. I'm relieved to find out that others have had issues with "the same medication" as Orsythia. I will try to update as time goes by. I would love to hear others updates as well. Read More Read Less

This medicine makes me extremely nauseated. I can't sit, move, drink water, eat, etc. without feeling sick! I know I'm not pregnant, and I did not feel like this on my period or before the pharmacy switched brands. It is definitely this medicine!

I hate this pill so much. My pharmacy switched me to this and I am so unhappy with it. I am extremely moody. I am absolutely covered in acne and I have gained weight. I have been concerned about my recent weight and I have been on a strict diet, I have been eating fruits and veggies, on a strict workout routine and nothing has helped me. I hate that a pill can be switched so quickly on a person, it really can ruin a life.

This pill is horrible. It makes my mood changed badly. Another side effect I do not like is I gain weight. I feel my body so heavy. I had Orsythia for 7 years and had not problem with my weight.

This pill is horrible. I'm at the end of my first package after the pharmacy switched me with NO notice and I feel absolutely terrible; so much anxiety, severe mood swings, lack of appetite, weight gain, bleeding... I cry at the blink of an eye, I've never been so depressed in my life. Calling it toxic is an understatement.

i was on orsynthia for four years and i never had any issues with it. my face was very clear of acne and i had no severe mood swings. I was so happy i didn't have any birth control horror stories. Last month my pharmacy switched me over to vienva randomly (orsynthia is no longer offered as the generic) and said it was the same. my face has been breaking out in massive cystic acne (like the previous review has also said they recieved) and I'm always tired and lazy. i would not recommend this pill to anyone and as someone who does not struggle with their confidence the acne side effects i have received from taking this pill has truly made me feel disgusting.Read More Read Less

My insurance company switched me from Orsythia to Vienva without notifying me, so I took it for the first week thinking they had the same ingredients. Within the first week my boobs shrank, I was nauseous all the time, I was eating like crazy, and I got cystic acne all over my face (again). Orsythia has been the only bc in 6 years that has worked for me since I went from LoEstrin(discontinued). I also had a mirena IUD and Junel FE which gave me terrible acne for years and left my whole face scarred. Going on Vienva brought that same acne bck and I know it's 100% hormonal b/c when I was going through puberty I never had acne! Don't take this pill it's toxic. Read More Read Less

No, do not buy this birth control. Used to be on Orsythia and changed over to this and it's been the worst experience of my life. I have acne. I hate it. Do not take it.
