I wanted to write a review on this after I had finished 3 packs and so I could maybe help someone. And I am glad to say I am very satisfied. Vienva was not my first birth control. I first started on Syeda and that was the worst experience of my life. I didn't even get through 2 weeks and it ended up destroying all my relationships. I stopped taking birth control completely after that and then trie...

My insurance company switched me from Orsythia to Vienva without notifying me, so I took it for the first week thinking they had the same ingredients. Within the first week my boobs shrank, I was nauseous all the time, I was eating like crazy, and I got cystic acne all over my face (again). Orsythia has been the only bc in 6 years that has worked for me since I went from LoEstrin(discontinued). I ...

DO NOT USE. I have never had much acne at my life and cystic acne at that. I have cystic acne all over my face and back now. I have been super depressed and tired all the time. I could wake up from a 12 hour sleep and be tired after one hour of waking up. I get nausea every time that I take this pill and I’ve also gained so much weight! I have bled 6 times in 1 month. Non-stop bleeding. I will be stopping today and I will just wait to be switched back to my old prescription. If you don’t have to take this kind than don’t. Glad I’ve noticed 3 months into taking this pill.Read More Read Less

I've been on this birth control for over six months. Since the first month I started bleeding in between periods. Now I practically get two periods every month when before I only got one. I feel weak and fatigued all the time now. I believe this can be a side effect but it's only supposed to be for 3 months max. It's time to switch to a different type of birth control, because I can't keep dealing with two freaking periods let alone one.

I’ve been taking Vienva for about 3 years. My biggest complaint (and only complaint) is that my sex drive has disappeared during this time. It feels impossible to get aroused and really really hard to finish. This is not normal for me which obviously makes me sad and effects my relationships. After 3 years, I feel like it’s safe to say this is definitely from Vienva. But it does it’s job and honestly I’m too scared to switch with the risks of worse side effects.

I have been taking Vienva for almost three months. I started my first one on the 31st of October and I have only missed it once, but that's only because I wasn't at my home when the package was delivered. I have had an amazing experience with Vienva, although at first I had frequent migraines, was sensitive to bright lights and loud noises, and nauseous. After a while, maybe two weeks, my body got used to the pill and now it has been a safe ride ever since.

I have been taking Vienva for almost 2 years. I have to say it is effective. However, as time has gone on I have noticed every period is different (flow, time it starts, blood clots, etc). Also the mood swings are something that fluctuate every month as well. I thought this may be due to my generalized anxiety diagnosis but it’s becoming consistent with the week before placebo pills. I’m going to discuss with my doctor about changing pills.

I bled for weeks on this birth control. I wanted it so that my periods would lessen or even stop completely. It didn’t work for me and I’m not sure how much longer it would have lasted if I hadn’t decided to just stop.

Do not take this birth control. One week on it and I can’t handle the side effects anymore. My hair is thinner, I have had horrible nausea and acid reflux. My appetite is gone. It’s making it hard for me to have energy to get anything done. I’m stopping it today and getting a prescription for something else.

Vienva has worked great for me so far. I haven't experienced any side effects aside from retaining water weight. It is easy to use, and I have been having unprotected sex frequently with ejaculation inside me and haven't gotten pregnant. Had some breakthrough bleeding. My periods without birth control are either extremely late or too early. With Vienva, it's on time. It is my first birth control and since there's no issue, I might stick with it for the rest of my life.

I’m 37yo mom of a teen. I’m 5ft -134lbs Started taking Vienva 2 months ago. 2nd month on it & I do notice I’m tired & hungry probably more than usual but the main problem I notice is extreme Acid reflux GERD 1-3hrs after taking it & it lasts for hours. I never had reflux this consistent or bad in my life. Just messaged my doctor to report my complaints. Been having to take Tums & Pepto-Bismol everyday to cope with the burning. I read online that certain hormones in the pill can make the opening of the stomach relax more than usual & I think that might be what’s happening to me. I used to take LoEstrodial pill & never had any side effects. Anyone else experiencing the heart burn?Read More Read Less

This was good because i didn’t have weight gain or acne, in fact it cleared my skin up. I also lost hair faster than normal. I started vienva for extremely heavy periods and it did not help that at all. there was no change in my flow from normal. The worst thing was the depression. I already struggle intensely with depression but the birth control made it so much worse. I barely remember the time i was on it due to the depression slump i was in.

I mean, it does what it's supposed to, prevent pregnancy. No weight gain or emotional issues, however, it did tarnish like half of my sex drive and generated white solid particles in my vagina. Which is weird. Don't know why that happens.

i’ve been in vienva for almost three months now. I know it takes 3-6 months for your body to adjust. i’ve been on junel fe and aurovela fe before this. the first month starting vienva I got a really heavy period and bad cramps which has never happened on the pill ever. then the second month I had a little spotting on placebo week which is usually what my periods have been like on birth control. I also noticed that days before placebo week for both packs that I get kinda nauseous, i get really angry all the time, cramps everyday, tired, back pain and muscle pain. i’m gonna stick it out and give it another 2-4 months to see if anything changes. This is my first form of birth control I have ever taken. Initially I was extremely nervous about the possible side effects. The first month, it felt as if my emotions were muted, but otherwise nothing major. I used to have extremely heavy periods, but this helped lighten my periods and make them much more manageable. I haven't had any mood swings, acne breakouts, or any of the side effects. Everyone is different, but I am lucky that this birth control worked extremely well for me.

I have been taking Vienva for 6 months now and I’m pretty satisfied with it. Everyone is different and in my experience with it I did experience some hormonal breakouts and occasional breast tenderness. Everything else has been fine and i haven’t gotten migraines, mood swings, or nausea like I have with other kinds of birth control, also I haven’t gotten pregnant which is the main purpose so overall a good experience

Ive been on this pill for no more than 3 days. I recently have been switched birth control pills (now on Vienva) and it was the worst decision i’ve ever had. I felt a bit unsure after reading the reviews but i decided, hey, i may be different. Woke up today in unbearable pain in my abdomen as well as last night, throwing up and lots of fatigue and anxiety. I do not recommend!!

My HCP switched me over to Vienva from Orsythia for what reason, idk. I’m on my 3rd pack and I’ve gained 7lbs. I’m always irritable and the mood swings are crazy. My cramps have gotten way worse and I’m always hungry and tired. I don’t have the energy to do much at all. I do not advise these pills. I will be switching back ASAP

I was on 2 different birth control pills before this one. My first pill completely skipped my period for 2 months. Before birth control I was having my period every 2 and half weeks. I have been on this pill for 2 years and it has regulated my periods for the most part. It has helped my acne overall. I do recommend this pill especially if you have anemia!

Horrible headaches and nausea. I feel terrible and exhausted. I haven't taken birth control in years and I never get headaches, but I've started taking Vienva and I feel horrible. Bloated and my breasts are tender, but nothing is worse than this ongoing headache I've had. Worst part is I just started this medication and I'm reading that side effects last at least 2-3 months?! A nightmare!!
