I find Xiidra very effective. My vision is briefly blurred for about 15 minutes after use, but I just plan accordingly. The biggest problem I have with Xiidra is that the delivery mechanism is difficult to use. The drops are difficult to get out, and if you shake the vial between drops, a drop comes out and is wasted. I used to use Restasis. While Xiidra is more effective for me, the Restasis vial...

My doctor gave me a Xiidra sample for my dry eyes. I used it this morning. Awful experience. It burned, turned my left eye red, left a film on both eyes that blurred my vision for several minutes and tasted so bad I vomited. No, thanks. I'll stick to OTC Systane Ultra.

I saw no improvement whatever, in spite of the excessive cost. Getting the drops out of the vials was no easy task and at times was infuriating. Worse still: not infrequently the vials actually were completely empty. I finally became fed up with all this and ceased using it.

OMG. Prescribed by my eye specialist to treat extreme dry eye that was threatening my vision. Xiidra burned the heck (being diplomatic) out of my irritated eyes to the point that I couldn’t even open them for several minutes. Xiidra is quite expensive - even with good insurance but - even if free, I’d rather be drawn and quartered.

I had a horrid reaction to these drops. After trying various drops to correct the issue a corneal patch had to be applied to heal the abrasions caused by these drops. My eyes have lasting effects.

Use these drops at your peril! I had a horrible reaction to them. Within a couple of days I felt extreme pressure behind my eyes and by a week my vision was so blurry I could barely see. On top of that I had an allergic reaction, broke out I'm extreme hives. I was bright red and so swollen I couldn't bend my elbows. It took THREE visits to Urgent Care and ever increasing dosages of steroids before it got better. Stay away from these eyedrops!

You will not answer your phone and you refuse to answer emails. My pen does not work and you will not respond to get one that works. You need to be regulated by the government, you cannot be trusted to properly service this medicine.

After using for 2 weeks, my eyes were secreted puss and were very blurry. I had to put warm compresses on them.

My eyes don't seem any less dry than when I started 3 months ago. Yes they do burn about 1/3 of the time and it seems to be almost impossible to keep drops from running out of my eyes during the first 3 minutes. The people who have trouble getting the drops out need to hold the dispenser tip down and flip it with finger, break off the end and flip it gently a second time to get all of the medication to the bottom before trying to dispense. I am going to the eye doctor at the end of the month and am looking to try something different or stop. If I have spelled anything wrong its because I used it 45 minutes and can't see too well. In fact my eyes a a lot worse. Thanks NovarisRead More Read Less

Only used for 12 days. I suffered severed headaches, constant leaky eyes, sinusitis and eye socket pain. I regret using this drug. My eye acuity also changed in that short period of time of using it.

The medication improved my tear production and if I laughed tears started rolling down my face. Over time the drops became extremely painful and eventually blurred my vision.

Extreme pain around the eyes. Eye draining. Constant tearing. Blurry vision. Bitter taste in my throat. Paid over $ 50.00 out of pocket. Neither Novartis nor the pharmacy will refund. Only used 5 single use vials out of 60.

I used the drops for one month even though the drops hurt and made me nauseated. I saw no improvement at the end of the month.

the vehicle (plastic container) is VERY difficult to achieve correct placement into the eye on a daily basis. this is a REPEATABLE ISSUE> I have phoned xiidra and told them about this. thousands of others also have this problem. the end of the container is VERY short, AND the actual opening of the container is the wrong shape so the drop can fall onto your cheek if it misses your eye. do be aware of this problem.

Xiidra helped cure my chronic eye disease!!! I just got back from my eye doctor today and he said that I have improved tremendously. Before I started taking Xiidra my eyes were drying out at 2 seconds but since I have been taking Xiidra they dry out at 8 seconds and I have better tear flow! THANK YOU so much for Xiidra!! It helped save my eyes and I will be forever grateful to you!

I need to apply artificial tears more frequently than when I was taking Restasis. I now have chronic sinusitis and an itching rash below my lower eyelid. I have an opaque film on my eyes and blurred vision for several minutes after taking Xiidra.

I have been a longtime and successful Restasis user. When I saw Xiidra had a promotion and the cost was much lower than Restasis, I thought I would give it a try. Very disappointed with it. The first day I used it, it stung my eyes. Never had stinging with Restasis. I have only been using Xiidra 6 days but it is not as effective as Restasis for me. I have had to use over the counter drops in addition to the Xiidra which I never had to do with Restastis. My right eye feels dry and is burning. I am going to call my doctor and ask that he write me a prescription for Restasis again. I would rather pay more and be completely satisfied than use Xiidra which I find is a marginal product. After reading a lot of negative reviews on Xiidra today, I understand why they are offering a promotion on it. I haven't seen any rave reviews about Xiidra so I am going back to Restasis. After months of debilitating dry eyes with eye pain, headaches and extreme discomfort, I felt immediate relief with Xiidra. I am only 4 days in and already I feel like I have my life back. The side effects of stinging and blurriness after application, are a small price to pay for the relief I have gained.

Been using this for 2 years and not any better. I feel it causes worse symptoms then without. I have not used it for two days to see what happens. I can see much better without it. Not so much sticky stuff in my eyes. Although they are still dry I'm better off using artificial tears and steroid if needed. Wish they would come up with something that really works.
