I wouldn't wish it on anyone. That said, it's almost a relief knowing I'm not alone. I threw away half of my clothes.(The bottom half). It definitely was not as described by my Gastro. At best I referred to this as my emergency evacuation pill. Until last weekend. Feeling bloated too long, I reluctantly took one Trulance 3mg. Suffice it to say the 7lbs I lost didn't include my clothing. A full week later, I'm still sustaining myself on Pedialyte & yogurt. For me this falls within the parameters of "cruel & unusual". Awful, dizziness, bladder pain, rectal pain & bleeding. Left eye lid above & blow swelled up. Sore on eye lid. Pain behind eyes &runny nose. Still feel sick a week later.

Did absolutely nothing. Still no bowel movements. I’m so frustrated

Took it for the first time and within 2hrs I was running to the bathroom. Easy way to get what you need out but the gas and runs is not cool. Never again Everyone try colese!

So I just started this medicine today due to having constipation I can say it works really well after an 1 hour I been in the bathroom already going but I'm a little concerned how long would I be back and forth to the bathroom it's seems I can't stop going now I have Crohn's but man I feel like I'm getting ready for my procedure for a colonoscopy and enteroscopy I don't have to do that in March and I'm on remicade I didn't want to be constipated but I also didn't want to keep going to the bathroom all day I'm not sure if I want to keep taking this one Read More Read Less

My Dr stated I had a moderate build up of stool upper stomach possibly from a back surgery a year and a half ago. I am not constipated and don't know why my Dr gave this to me. This is worse than linzess. Rumbling, stumbling, bumbling, fumbling to the bathroom. My 40yd dash to the bathroom is low 4.34. After 2 days, I'm done with trulance. Go Bills

I felt like an upside down volcano. After two days of use I was dizzy, severely anxious and bloated. After 2 hours, I felt rumbling in my stomach, followed by moans and groans. You most likely will soil your pants. This medication should be sold to people who want to get revenge on their cheating partners. I panic every time I feel the urge to pass gas and make a 100 yard dash for the restroom with little luck. I don't even think Trayvon Bromell would win I will not take this medication again.

Been taking a pill a day for week and a half, still no bm , gas and bloating and cramping but not producing waste. I’ve tried everything else I can think of but nothing is working. Will mention to my doctor my next visit but where do we go from here?

I've been on anything and everything you could think of. Linzess on the highest dose did nothing for me. I'm about to schedule a trial of ileostomy, but my Dr. Recommended this first. It works, like really fast, but is the discomfort worth it? I'm just not sure. The pain this medicine gives me is very much worse than the pain I go through when I'm extremely backed up. I'm just confused at this point.

Trulance was given to me recently after finding my IBS - this medicine has help me to release my constipation but with awful side effects - I had to called out work. I tried to split the pill, change times, skip a day or 2, have a straight diet (small salads) and the results are still the same - I don't understand why is there a lot of people taking with Miralax - this Med will flush you in a heartbeat .. I’ve been on this for about 2 years. It’s done nothing but ruin my life but it works. I was on linzess for 2 years which is actually worse than this. I started with a whole pill. Worked first time no problem. Then I found out I only needed half pill. It still works most of time but the major problem is you don’t know when it’s gong to work and for how long! It used to work within 1 hour. Now lately it takes 2 hours or more. After it starts working you have to be home for 2- 3 hours or so…so the whole ordeal takes 5 hours. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all and just makes you bloated and intestines full of water and you are now stuck home all day feeling sick. I had to quit my career over ibs c and this medication because I cant go to work now. I never know when it’s going to work. If I take it in early morning I’m stuck for 5 hours home. You cannot drive! If I take it in afternoon I can t if I’m working! There goes all my sales appointments. If I go to happy hour and come home later for dinner…when am I supposed to take it? At 6 or 7 pm? Then I can’t sit and watch a movie… it’s embarrassing getting up every 5 mins running to the bathroom for 2 hours! Besides if I take it at night now I’ll be up til 1 am and won’t be able to get up to go to work. It’s a vicious cycle. You can t even walk your dog. You can’t go for a bike ride after taking this. You can’t go to lunch. I have to take this daily because my ibs is so bad I’m rock hard inside within 1 day and no urge. I cant get impaction from my intestines so I have to take this daily. Now my mornings and afternoons and nights are ruined. I da t do anything. This medication will make you become a hermit and stay home all day. The window of time when it works and how long it stays in your system working is way way too long. 5 hours a day is waste of your life waiting for it to work and waiting for it to end and get outta your system. I wish there was another medication. Linzess was longer than this. About. 6-8 hours trapped at home time. Also it gives you aches in your large intestine many times. After I’m waking up next morning my lower chest where large intestine is, stings and has a sharp ache after taking this waking almost every morning. It goes away after I wake up and it doesn’t happen if I stop taking this medication.. Ibs is the worst to have. I’d rather be missing my left arm than have ibs c. Also this stuff gives you the worst gas. I barely eat food anymore. I eat healthy. No red meat no fried foods and even if you eat a salad this stuff will give you embarrassing gas. No dates to go on no movies no beach. I’m serious. It works but you’ll be an invalid. I’ve had to cancel so many road trips over this medication. I waited a while to review this medicine to get my full opinion. The first day I was skeptical due to bloating and discomfort. The second day it worked and it was extreme. I had to figure out what worked best with my body. Please know everyone's body is different and this medication can definitely help if you find the right routine. To avoid the explosive trips to the bathroom I learned If I take a full pill on day one and a half pill on day two then skip the third day I have been having regular bowels daily. Sometimes they are looser but at least I don't have the pain and discomfort from constipation. I have tried for years so many different probiotics and docusate and mirilax, pure aloe Vera, prebiotics, so many different things. This medicine has truly helped me. The first few days I almost stopped taking it due to the bloating, however this went away once I got cleared out and on a regular routine. I hope this helps someone unsure of this medicine. I make sure I take it 4 hrs before I leave the house with lots of water to make sure I can use bathroom when needed. I have quit all other medicines with the help of this one and I feel great now. Agree with others, had explosive diarrhea. Works within 2 hours or so. Don't make plans until it's done it's thing. Keeping this in mind, this medication has worked better than anything else I've tried. I had been having to use 10 Ducolax pills at a time! Not good! Bottom line, Trulance will clean your clock!

It was a little scary 1st 2d. Told to take at night with Myralax. Mess all of bed more than 3x's each night. Prefer to take during the day. But after 5wks, I am taking twice the dose & it's not doing anything. Type 1 diabetic with vagus nerve neuropathy. Will have to be on a liquid diet if I dont get some sort of help.

If you take Trulance,you'll mess your pants.Carry a towel for a visit from the bowel. If it happens in the car you won't go far.Better stay home-not safe to roam. Skip it on days you can't have delays.If you've got a date better call in late. They'll say "AGAIN??" Then,"Let's be friends."This stuff works but'll give you the squirts.So take it if it's needed with these words well heeded.

I can finally have bowel movements. I take it at 2 am with other meds for sinus and asthma. It took about a week to work daily. After months if Miralax and Linzess I have found something that works.I do not like stool softeners,so I have added chia seeds to my diet. One tbsp.in oatmeal at breakfast. Lots if fiber and water during day. Then after dinner, 1 tbsp. Of seeds in yogurt or pudding.. Drink a lot if water and watch your diet. Finally RELIEF.??

My dr gave me sample pills to try. I quickly learned that about 1/8 of a pill was all I needed to produce a bowel movement. I take that after lunch every other day and it works within three or four hours. I do need to drink more water or risk a headache. But for me that’s not much of a downside.

Severe diarrhea and stomach pain continues for 4-5 hours after taking the medication. I stopped taking it after a couple of days after consulting my doctor. I medicine is worse than the condition it is supposed to help.

Had movement with in 1 hr after taking. I had explosive watery diarrhea. This lasted off and on for 6 hrs. I could not even get to the bathroom in time. What a mess each time

Better than Amitiza and Linzess, however, I don't get the diarrhea or even a movement as of yet by itself. I have taken it for a week now.
