The serum was painful upon injection. Within hours my upper arm became swollen, itchy, red and hot to the touch. Two days later and the injection site is no better and I have experienced dizziness as well.

I recently received the first shot (7-1-18) the first day the spot were I received the injection was a little sore no other issues the second day my arm is really sore at the injection site, also have some mild fatigue on the second day. Other than that its been an ok experience. Much better than getting shingles. Gave everything 3 stars due to just getting vaccinated.

People told me the 2nd shot was not so bad. I'm really glad I believed them because of I thought it would be this bad, I wouldn't of gone through with it. I know shingles is horrible so I'm glad the 2nd shot is done even with how terribly crappy I feel. This is the 2nd day. I'm nauseous, my stomach hurts, all my joints hurt, my back hurts and I'm dizzy. I took 2 days off to prepare for this (took shot 26hrs ago) and I'm worried about going to work tomorrow. I hope this crap is over by tomorrow Read More Read Less

It didn’t work for me I still have break outs I could have saved my $ for the creams I use at break out time. After suffering through the pain and discomfort of both meddles it’s a waste of time suffering and money. This was my experience.

Just got the 1st vaccination two days ago. The shot was painless, location of shot is not sore in anyway. First day was business as usual. Second day, went into work felt fatigued but didn’t think much about that….then a headache came on I took a BC, then it felt like I had a toothache. I took Tylenol, my headache and toothache and now neck was more intense. I left work by the time I arrived home I was hurting all over. Then the shivering began. My head and neck was hurting so bad I thought I might have contracted meningitis and was considering going to emergency room. My husband asked did I think it could be from the vaccine? I googled it and these were some of the side affects. Today, 3rd day still feel fatigued but other symptoms have subsided. Worth it if I can avoid the shingles. I have family members that have blindness in one eye and others that are still suffering from severe nerve pain years later.Read More Read Less

I went in to a new physician for my yearly wellness visit. The staff pushed this vaccine on me, I had no idea what I was getting. I am on day 2 now, and have been extremely sick. I will not be getting the 2nd vaccine.

27y male. Had my 1st Shingrix shot in January and 2nd shot in March this year (2022). Many people seem to have bad experience but my side effects were really minor, especially with the 2nd shot. Side effects would start about 17 hours after taking the vaccine: 1st shot:- severe pain and itching in the first 3 days near the injection site, severe headache for 12+ hours with fever, and muscle weakness for 1 day 2nd shot:- very mild pain and itching for 1 day near the injection site, and slight headache that only lasted for a few hours (see below how). I took 400mg of Advil (Ibuprofen) for headache and fever with the 2nd shot which people were taking for COVID vaccine's side effects and it really worked wonders! Immediate eliminated headache and I had zero fever this time. The 2nd shot was far more forgiving. I've had shingles outbreak 3 times in 3 months in 2021 due to my severe anxiety and panic disorders. They were all over my stomach then spread into underarms, lower neck and back eventually, it was so severe. The pain I've experienced from shingles made me feel my life is over, I never imagined such disease existed. This vaccine is a great help and I very much appreciate it! I'll no longer have to worry about shingles.Read More Read Less

Despite my fears 5 months after shot #1. Shot one…only severe arm pain. I got shot #2. Within 12 hrs after the shot I had terrible arm pain, sore hands , strong nausea, mild dizziness and tired. By the next morning I felt better except the extreme arm pain and nausea. The arm pain lasted 8 days….The nausea feels like morning sickness and continues 10 days later. It seems to clear up later in am but comes back again. A nasty vaccine. My hope is I avoid shingles.

What a hideous experience and I fear it’s not over. Twelve hours after first shot I was vomiting, had 102 fever, was shaking, dizzy and had such severe muscle pain I could hardly move. I was very disoriented and really should have had a nurse with me. I went to the bathroom and just stood there like a demented person and went all over the floor. I was sick for days and INCREDIBLY depressed. Now, weeks later, I’m having nerve pain in my hands that are incapacitating. No way will I have a second shot. What a terrible drug.Read More Read Less

I have never been as sick as after my shingles shot!!! I was very dizzy, chills and stomach upset. My diarrhea was so severe with cramps I had extreme anal bleeding. I fainted on the stool and fell into the wall! I had a gash on my head and a lump on my forehead from hitting the floor! I was so disoriented I could not call my daughter. Thank goodness she called me the next morning.

I had my first Shingles shot in nov 2021. Very painful shot and a sore arm, otherwise no after affects. My 2nd shot was completely different. Very little pain until the day after the injection. For two days I was so sick I could hardly move. Body aches, muscle soreness, joints painful, chills. Plus I had no energy to do anything but sleep. My arm is still very swollen and hot to the touch. Now, one week later, I’m better but I have never had such bad itching! My entire arm from shoulder to past my elbow itches so badly. If the first shot had been like this I would NOT have had second one. I think there should be a serious warning before this shot is administered.Read More Read Less

I got seriously ill from my second dose. I was not warned, and got no info about the vaccine. I have no understanding why the FDA allows a vaccine that makes so many people sick. I had the Pfizer covid vaccine, it as a breeze to compared to Shringex. Don't take it. I will never see that doctor again. I lost work from Shingrex, and was sick for days.

I'm here reading reviews because I became suspicious that a serious condition I have been experiencing was caused by this vaccine. Since the first shot I have had sometimes debilitating weakness, muscle and joint pain mostly in shoulders and down arms but also hands feet hips. This has lasted for 5 months and 2 days ago I got the booster. Now I'm worse and have realized that this may well be the cause. Wish I had never done this.

First one caused sickness for about 12 hours with pain at injection sight for a month. Second one caused severe muscle and joint pain that persisted for over 2 months. Could hardly use my left arm for nearly 5 weeks, joints ached especially where arthritis was involved. Had stiff, sore neck for more than 2 months.

OMG!!! I am so glad that I read these reviews because I thought I was losing my mind. I received my first injection 10/28/19 in my dominate arm. That night I could not sleep on my right side because my arm hurt so bad and its swollen. The next day I was aching and could hardly walk, felt like I had the flu. I finally took some Tylenol and Naproxen and that helped a little. Now its day 3 and my arm is still swollen, it feels like a goose egg. My arm hurts so bad that I thought maybe she hit a nerve. I will let my primary know and see what they recommend. And I have to get another injection..REALLY!!Read More Read Less

Side effects were bad but lasted just one day: flu-like symptoms, nausea, headache, aches and pains all over. Don't know yet how effective because I just got the shot day before yesterday. Two of my friends got shingles and are still suffering months later, so if this works I'll take 1-2 days of side effects over shingles any day.
