After struggling with Heroin addiction, prison, relapses and parole violations which destroyed over a decade of my life I went on suboxum 5 years ago to help me stay out of prison and get my life together. Over the past 5 years I have tried to taper off of the suboxum several times without any success. Three months ago I recieved my first 100mg sublacade shot in place of the 12mg of suboxum I ha...

I've been on this for 13 months now, I was lucky to start it shortly after it became available. I'm 2yr 6mos clean, I was on the strips before the shot. I love not needing to obsess about my dose, how often I get it, and what would happen if I run out. These were constant fears on suboxone. Medication is only a small part of what keeps me sober; I still work a strong 12-step program and have a sponsor, (though I know that isn't for everyone), I exercise, I eat right, I see a therapist and have a great team of healthcare providers. But this medication has helped save my life. I haven't had any side effects. Once I even had to get my injection 11 days late (shipping issues) and the doc offered me suboxone strips to hold me over but I had no withdrawal symptoms! Never needed the strips. I don't know when I will stop the shots, but with the help of this medication, I can live. No cravings, no withdraw. I now work productively and have healthy relationships. It's not a miracle drug but it sure is helpful.Read More Read Less

Iâ??ve been searching for months for someoneâ??s experience getting off this injection to no avail. so Iâ??ve decided to reach out this way. I was on suboxen 8mg for 6 months when getting the injection became a better choice for me and besides the 5 min of pretty bad stinging after the shot, the stuff was almost a miracle for me. After a month and a half I started having acute depression to the point of thinking this is why some may decide to harm themselves. After 4 months of tons of antidepressants, clonidine and others Iâ??ve managed to get past it, no idea what it was but it scared the s**t out of me.my blood levels of bup are down to almost nothing and no real signs of withdrawal. Does anyone know what happens when this stuff fully wears off? I called suboxone and they didnâ??t even know what happens or at least thatâ??s thier story....Read More Read Less

On April 8th 2019 is when I received my first Sublocade injection. The shot goes into the stomach and to be specific it goes into your belly fat.The shot stung like hell going inbut it only lasted about a minute before subsiding.Already three and a half weeks after receiving the shot I have not wanted a Suboxone film or any other narcotic for that matter.Suboxone used to give me a bit of euphoria after taking it where as with Sublocade I don't feel that rush but itâ??s not a bad thing.I simply don't want to use drugs anymore and if you're thinking about getting on it I recommend you do so.Iâ??m happy I don't take Suboxone anymore too.Good luck everyone!Read More Read Less

My stars are there because i had tho do them. I have not tried yet but am looking into it now as i am on the 8mg films. I've read all reviews and seen there was withdrawal so people went back to the film. Not once did i read that anyone realized you will go through some withdrawal possibly since there's no norpeniphrine in the shot. Maybe doctors should pre warn so patients know it's a possibility?..

I have read so many good reviews of this medication I figured Iâ??d give it try. Before trying Sublocade I was on subutex avg of 14-16mg/day, subutex was working great but the cost of it was starting to become an issue hence why I wanted to try Sublocade.... the first 3 days after injection I felt great then came the 4th day, I woke up after only getting 3 hours of sleep, I was restless, cold sweats, diarrhea, shaking and nausea... basically full blown withdrawal symptoms. It was a weekend so day 6 I talk to dr and he prescribes 4mg suboxone a day, it helps a little but nausea is still horrible go up to 8mg suboxone a day and withdrawal symptoms are almost completely gone except for the nausea! I am so tired of feeling sick and tired... I hope nobody else goes through this like I have. I am on day 10 now and I cannot wait to be off the injection and back on subutex..... I donâ??t care what I have to pay every month now at least I will know that I wonâ??t feel sick and like I am going to vomit every second of every day! Good luck to yâ??all!Read More Read Less

I just received my fourth injection of subutex three days ago. I have been so happy with this drug other than the fact that when they dropped me down to the 100mg maintenance dose I started to experience withdrawal. My doctor put me back on one 8mg strip a day until they could get me approved to stay on the 300mg dose. I guess this is due to me metabolizing the drug faster that the average person. I was on the suboxone strips 2 8mg for over two years. I had terrible side effects from them. Mouth sores nausea bleeding gums. Silo cafe has changed my life. The only problem is the last week or so I go in to withdrawal so my doctor got me approved to get the drug sooner. Also my doctor numbs the injection site with lidocaine. I hear that the shot hurts like hell so I am grateful for this. Read More Read Less

The sublocade shot has changed my life! I wake up feeling wonderful every morning. I don't take any medications besides the suboxene so having a 1x monthly injection that actually lasts Almost the whole month. A few days prior to needing your next injection u may feel like u don't have as much energy and slightly feel like your withdrawing but other than that I have nothing negative to say!! Sublocade has changed my life!

Im currently a patient on Sublocade for approximately 3 weeks now. Before recieving my shot I was a Suboxine Film (8/2mg 2x a day) user. Firstly, I am not in any way affiliated with the makers of suboxone, or Doctors and Im writing this review to share my personal experience only. The day I recieved my shot, (upper abdomen, just under rib cage). Be prepared to feel a very long, and intense burning feeling, almost to the point of crying. As soon as the next morning hit, i started to panic immediatly because i usually dosed with suboxone in the AMs and if i didnt i would start having some mild withdrawal symptoms, but to my surprise. I had none, im 3 weeks in with no cravings or withdrawl. The only thing, is if you could can deal with the first shot (the pain), and having a tumor size lump where the injection site is (another disadvantage they dont tell you about), and you cant stand the taste of your suboxone anymore. Then I recommend this. Read More Read Less

Hello all, i have been on Sublocade since June 2018 and I have been extremely satisfied with the stability and well being this drug has brought me. I’ve used suboxone (12mg a day avg) for over 4 years. With subs I could always feel this feeling like I’m off even kinda drowsy at times. Sublocade has brought me my natural good feeling back. I feel good, and better yet I feel extremely balanced. I do start to feel like I need my next injection after about 28 days for optimal stability & well being. In addition the shot isn’t the most comfortable delivery method one would hope for. Nonetheless very small price for the vast superior feeling Sublocade has delivered. I also love the fact that the medication that’s most important to me is always with/in me. I could only hope my insurance continues to cover this expensive medication so I don’t end up broke paying out of pocket. From what my doctor tells me I’m not the only one loving the effects of this product. I couldn’t recommend this product enough to all whom are dependent on bup. Sounds to me from some of these reviews that sellers of suboxone & generics are feeling extreme fear on the negative impact Sublocade will have on there products! Best wishes to all ????Read More Read Less

After struggling with Heroin addiction, prison, relapses and parole violations which destroyed over a decade of my life I went on suboxum 5 years ago to help me stay out of prison and get my life together. Over the past 5 years I have tried to taper off of the suboxum several times without any success. Three months ago I recieved my first 100mg sublacade shot in place of the 12mg of suboxum I had been taking every day for about a year consistantly. My first shot felt like I was being stung by a bee until they finished the injection and removed the needle,(Upper abdomin, less fat= more pain?) then the pain went away and I think I could actually feel the medication working. I was a few days late getting the second shot and really didn't feel any difference extending the monthly shot by about 5 days. Just under 2 months ago now I recieved my second and final 100mg shot. (Lower abdomin more fat = less pain) I have noticed some very mild withdrawl symptoms such as looser bowel movements and a reduced amount of energy starting around 6 weeks after I recieved the second shot. Overall I am happy with the Sublacade and am excited for the drug to continue to work it's way out of my system. I feel like my mind already feels a little clearer. Recommend for anyone who is trying to get off the suboxum having pieced their life back together after being destroyed by addiction.Read More Read Less

Scard, after reading comment of sublocade, which i had the shot today. I really hope I don't have withdrawls. But im use to only taking 12 mg a day. Been on suboxn 1 year, befor that methadone. It seems most people are honest but id like to know for the people who havent had issue with sublocade are you pot smokers or taking any other meds that might be helping you deal with the switch? Cause i dont and i want to be able to balance the reviews out. thanks

First, I’m gonna suggest that the top 5 star review was written and submitted by the Pharm Rep who sells this medication. The vernacular is straight out of a talking point, “leave behind” marketing piece. I received my first shot in February and it was a roller coaster until I finally surrendered and went back to the Sub Film Strips for this month. So I had 5 injections, plenty of time to be stabilized on Sublolame. I’ve been on Subs, 16 mg/day for almost 2 years. Always taken as directed. It was routine and predictable to take, just as my HBP medication is. It allowed me to function and I had zero urge to use and also had zero physiological withdrawawal while on Suboxone™?. I was reluctant to start Sublocade™? and only did so because I felt pressure from my doctor. This isn’t a forum for “doctors motives”, so I’ll only sugggest I was overly curious as to why he was so excited to shoot me with Sublocade™?. Against my apprehensive gut feeling, though, I went ahead and got my first shot in February. For the first week I felt great. Nothing earth shattering, just a feeling like I have with my subs, which is what the medication is supposed to do. On the 8th day I awoke at 5:00AM with chills and in a pool of sweat, achy, teary eyed and began sneezing incntrolablly. What I initially thought was some sort of flu turned out to be withdrawals of sudden onset. In short, I was miserable all morning, shaking and restless, before I suddenly felt nominally better around 3:00PM. I imagine the medication released a bit to make things better. This experience happened twice each month I was on the drug, always in the 2nd & 3rd week. Except I never knew exactly when it would hit me. All told, when considering my experience, and all the chemicals in Sublocade™? poisoning my CNS, I cut my losses and I’m now back on Sub Film. Sublocade™? was rushed to market with a lot of hype. It may as well be marketed by PT Barnum. I’m just bummed I fell for the pitch.Read More Read Less

This medication has helped put an end to my anxiety regarding running out of medication, pharmacies not having enough in stock, mismanagement of dosage, etc. I don't have to battle my own willpower; the medication eliminates the cravings and I can move on with my day. Sublocade is part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes therapy and regular checkups with my addiction specialist. The injection was placed one week ago, and I'm feeling minimal side effects. Aside from some moderate fatigue and an occasional headache, I feel liberated. Read More Read Less

Injection site irritation and uncontrollable itching lasted the first week. I felt great for the first 4 days. Too great. I felt high. It was euphoric. Then, day 5 comes and for 4 days (over Memorial Day weekend when doc was out of town) I felt major physiological side effects; sweating, bowel runs, sweating, night time RLS, teary eyes and shaking. To qualify, the answer is NO, if you're wondering if I was using any other medication or drugs. All I've been on is 2 years of Suboxone. Anyway, after those 4-5 days of misery, I went to my doctor and asked for relief. Guess what?!?! Nothing he could do for me until after my monthly dose went through my system. I'm now back on subs and feeling amazing & productive. AVOID Sublocade! Let's hope it turns to SubloFADE and gets pulled from market soon. It's a boondoggle.Read More Read Less

DO NOT TAKE UNLESS HAVE BEEN TAKING SUBOXONE FOR AT LEAST 7 DAYS!!! I got the injection less than 24 hours after last use. I felt completely fine for 2 hours then instantly got hit with the worst withdrawals for 3 days. 7 days after I was still getting severe hot and cold flashes.
