Plenvu kit had 2 packets. The first was Mango (16 oz) which tasted like salt water mango but better than the gross tasting stuff from others. Drank another 16 oz at 5 and had cleanout start around 6:30 pm. Then 2nd packet(s) was Tropical fruit flavor salt water. Still very tolerable. I was very full after both. The 2nd packet I took at 3 am and basically had complete clean out by 4:30 am but still...

you get diarrhoea to the point where you are incontinently passing dirty water. In this condition I was supposed to travel 20 miles for a colonoscopy. I had to cancel after 3 days preparation. A total waste of money everyone's time and 3 days of my life. What do these people use for brains?

HORRIBLE TASTE. Honestly unbearably. Think a fruity Gatorade flavor like cherry-limeade and tropical punch but then someone dumps a WHOLE salt shaker in it and you have to drink it anyway. Pros: Easy to use/understand, didn’t experience cramps!!! Cons: Taste. Even extra water doesn’t help much. EXPLOSIVE emptying. Not painful but splatters and drips EVERYWHERE. So nasty.

I felt this was more intolerable than previous colonoscopy preps but most of all, I can’t get rid of the taste it’s left in my mouth and has taken away my taste buds. It’s been 15 hrs since the last dose and everything I eat or drink tastes terrible. Hope I never have to use Plenvu in the future. I guess on a positive note, it did what it was suppose to do.

After 3 sips I had to call 911. I had difficult breathing, my breathing got restricted. I am allergic to sulfur and most drugs that have side effects of difficulty breathing, I am upset because I paid $60 co pay, $90 for my E/R visit and I'm sure I will be getting a bill from the ambulance. My personal opinion is the manufactures of this product is PUSHING IT. THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY CO PAY AND MY EXPENSES. THE DOCTOR THAT PRESCRIBED THE MEDICATION NEVER CALLED TO SEE HOW I WAS DOING AFTER I REPORTED THE INCIDENT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. I GENERALLY DO MY OWN FAST !!Read More Read Less

I'm a 165 lb 5'4" women -- so I'm not small, but after 1.5 days of low residual diet (as instructed by my healthcare provider) , Plenvu cleaned out my colon to "clear" after the first prep dose. The second prep dose was a nightmare (and frankly seemed too much). I was in the toilet room every 10-15 minutes for 2.5 hours... just peeing water out of my butt. i was super raw, super uncomfortable. For me, the 2nd prep was too much. Maybe half of the 2nd dose is better.

The most vile substance I have ever put to my mouth. It is hard to put into words how horrific this stuff is. Every sip I drank caused gagging and heaving. I was unable to drink it and now have to reschedule my procedure. Never ever again!!!

I feel the need to share my experience because there are so many negative ones. Other than it being way too sweet, this bowel prep was great! It made me a little nauseous because of the sweetness, but I chased it with Gatorade and it was fine. It worked its magic because I had an excellent prep! Don’t let the negative comments scare you from trying this prep!

After 3 sips I ended up in the ER with breathing difficulty. My colonoscopy was canceled. I wanted to have my colonoscopy before relocating to another state. I still have the precancerous polyps in my colon!!

I followed the instructions but my bowels were not clear. Doctor says I must repeat the preventive colonoscopy in one year because Plenvu failed. Do not use this product.

Only a sadist would describe voluntarily giving oneself several hours of diarrhea as a pleasant experience, but given that this is a necessary evil I found Plenvu to be perfectly satisfactory. I took it for my second colonoscopy and it was no better or worse than the prep for my first for which I took Moviprep. I followed the instructions diligently. I started my first dose at 6pm. I wouldn’t describe the taste as pleasant but I’ve had worse cocktails, so not horrendous. My first BM followed at 7.30pm. I had four further BM’s up until bedtime and one at about 5am before my second dose. Overall I had a comfortable night’s sleep although I was expecting to have more BMs and was concerned that I may not be sufficiently cleaned out. The second dose followed at 6am. I found the taste of this a little worse than the first dose and it gave me mild nausea which lasted about an hour. The first BM came at about 7am and I needn’t have worried about not being sufficiently cleaned out because up to 9am I spent most of my time in the bathroom and was having continual BMs. In the end it was just like passing dirty water. I have hemorrhoids and I was concerned that multiple BMs would aggravate them but this wasn’t the case because the BMs were actually very gentle and not at all explosive. I didn’t have any cramping either. The BMs became a lot less frequent after 9am but my last BM was at 11.30am only an hour before I had to leave for the hospital. This was in my view cutting it too fine and if the hospital hadn’t been so close I may have needed to go on the journey. Read More Read Less

I was given Plenvu as my bowel prep. Absolutely vile. The first dose was awful but managed to get it all down. I felt very nauseous and that feeling lasted for a few hours. The 2nd dose was worse and only managed to drink half the dose. It was so bad it nearly made me sick. I just couldn't drink anymore. It took a while for me to have a bowel movement but I was able to tolerate that. This is the worst drink I have ever had and never want to drink it again. The smell just stuck with me so I just felt even more nauseous as I could still smell the vile drink. I couldn't even go near the drink afterwards.Read More Read Less

I had my first Colonoscopy and was given Plenvu as bowel prep. The first dose was unpleasant but I tolerated it. The second dose I was unable to tolerate. The taste was absolutely vile and despite sipping I was heaving. I tried my best to take but vomited the whole lot back. I felt really traumatised about my bowel prep not being sufficient. I was still passing watery brown liquid the morning of the Colonoscopy. I had fasted other than clear fluids in the previous 24 hours so fortunately bowel prep was good with just one dose of plenvu. I found the bowel prep really distressing both due to vomiting and stress that I couldn't keep it down and hence my bowel prep may not be adequate. My Mum had Coloniscopy recently and had a different bowel prep which was basically a lemon drink and no horrific experience like this. Plenvu may be an effective bowel prep but think many people will struggle to tolerate the 2nd dose. Colonoscopy a joy in comparison to Plenvu!!!Read More Read Less

Never again. Ever. The "drink" is the most foul. disgusting concoction ever. It made me gag repeatedly and the instructions to "sip it over a 30 minute time" are laughable. It is so vile that every attempt to take it in made me gag and almost vomit. I only was able to drink it by taking large gulps to get it over with and still was sick. It is mind boggling that in this day and age there is no other way to prepare for this procedure. There must be a pill that can b taken. I got most of it down but will never ever do this again. This was my first colonoscopy and when I started reading reviews of Plenvu, I almost cancelled my appointment altogether. And honestly, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. The 3 days leading up to my colonoscopy I followed a low fiber diet that I read helped and I think it did. The first dose tasted horribly - not going to sugarcoat it. I barely finished it, and I felt it working almost right away. I was slightly nauseous, but once I started sucking on a lifesaver I was feeling better. I had movements for about 4 hours and was able to sleep through the night. The second dose, while it tasted a lot better, made me a lot more nauseous. But it eventually went away with a lifesaver and a popsicle. Movements stopped about 4 1/2 hours after I took it. I think prep sucks in general from what I’ve read, I mean no one is going to say it’s fun. But it wasn’t as much of a nightmare as I expressed. Read More Read Less

The first dose of the 500 ml tasted bad but was easy to drink if split properly over 3 hours I drank a lot of fluid previous to taking which definitely helped and drank a lot during and after I also followed a low volume diet which helped cramping wasn’t bad and no nausea in the first dose the second doses are more difficult but tolerable for my personal experience I only drank half of dose 2 a and b but dose 2b is definitely the easier tasting but causes some nausea but manageable my number one advice is listen to ur body when it tells u to stop for example nausea or vomiting Read More Read Less

Having to take two doses at separate times was annoying. I spent a lot of time with diarrhea. Up all night and after morning dose even more. Not a pleasant experience but I didn’t expect it to be. Now I’m good for five years.

This stuff works. Barely any stomach discomfort when I drank. Does it taste bad? Yes. But it’s drinkable. Be close to a toilet when you start to feel that you need to go. I lived in the bathroom for a solid hour. The only reason why I’m taking a star off is because your but hole will burn like a ring on fire. Toilet paper be warned. I regretted using it after the first sachet. I ended up using those face cleanser clothes (the white fluffy ones) and kept cleaning and disinfecting it in the bathroom sink in between each bowel movement. I wish I did this from the start…. And I wish I had Vaseline haha. Anyway… besides that, I’m clean baby! Read More Read Less
