I reculantly consented to trying Ajovy after experiencing horrific unlisted side effects taking Amovig.(filed FDA report). In 3rd week since first shot. Only side effect dry mouth. Had 1 severe migraine, 9/10 just stop after 5 minutes and drop to dull left sided headache 3/10 that lasted another 24 hrs. Did not medicate. The last 2 intermittently rainy days the migraine has come and gone without medication 1/10 to 3-4/10 without medication. If this continues or improves I will be so grateful. Frequency of headaches reduced, but I got floaters like gnats right after injection, and tinnitus so bad I had to get my ears tested. Results were normal, but it's been more than a month, the ear ringing continues. Also 5-pound weight gain for absolutely no reason since I hadn't changed my diet and continued to exercise when possible. And a major sinus infection and bronchitis that began two weeks after the injection. These side effects were noted as asterisks in an FDA report on the clinical studies. Within a couple days I noticed a big change. As of 2 dosages I have been 98% free of migraines. Before this I would get multiple shots (Benadryl, Phenergen, Tordal) a week to resolve my migraines. After awhile my butt continuously hurt and my short term memory would be affected. With Ajovy my rear is feeling better and I feel less foggy. I hope others are able to get the same results. My daughter suffers from similar migraines so I hope I can get her on the medication too.

Ajovy has reduced my 30 years of chronic migraines from 16 migraine days per month to 2 migraines. Itâ??s amazing! I have developed a rash on my face that started a week after my first injection. The rash was blistering and severe at first, but now is similar to rosacea. Iâ??ve never had rashes before. Iâ??m hoping that this will continue to help my migraines because I have my life back. And I hope the rash goes away.

What a life changer. I was having a daily migraine for the past several years and the amount of medication I was taking was unbelievable-just to try and not be down in bed for 10-12 hours so I could work. I have gone from 25-30 bad migraines a month to 1-2 headaches a month that I can get rid of with just Tylenol or ibuprofen. I have my life back!!!!!!!!!!!

It was like a switch that turned the migraines off. In three months of treatment, I've had maybe four headaches as opposed to usually 8-10 a month. However, I did have a slight blister once at injection site and also have a recurring low grade yeast infection with no other explanation than the Ajovy. That is certainly problematic.

Having tried most of the common treatments over the past 35 years with little preventative results, the past 6 weeks with Ajovy has been nothing short of miraculous for me. Migraines which consistently occur 4x per month have been reduced to zero. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I have had migraines for about 20 years. I get about 15 migraines per month. Currently I take Topomax daily as a preventative and Rizatriptan with Naproxen at the onset of a migraine. The emergency meds generally only work half the time. I took my first dose of Ajovy on 11/15. During the past month Iâ??ve only had one migraine (managed with one Rizatriptan). I also felt like I was getting a migraine 4x but didnâ??t. I had excruciating pain for 30-60 min at the injection site like something was stinging under my skin. I also have a feeling on the heels of my feet thatâ??s like Iâ??ve stuck them in snow and theyâ??re ice cold. Medication was easy to administer. However, approximately 1 week after injection I began developing hives that were very severe. The hives were also spongy which caused the release of fluid onto my skin. So, with the itching and the fluid, I developed a nasty combination of wounds and inflammation along with stinging. I was very uncomfortable. I reported it to the pharmacy which reported it to the FDA. I am still waiting to hear back from my neurologist. They didn't act as though they believed me and I am still having horrible symptoms. I have hives in my scalp and everywhere else on my body. My face is terrible and will not heal bc of the constant leaking of fluid. I will not have a 2nd treatment. Read More Read Less

Blistering skin, dermatologist says wait till it's out If my system. Just horrible terrible muscle spasms. Not worth the debilitating skin issues. Did not work for me in an extreme way. Extremely bad reaction.

I had my first injection of Ajovy 13 days ago. Since then I have only had one migraine, as opposed to having one almost every day. That one migraine was much less painful and didn't last as long as it usually does. I have had a few "migraine symptoms" like a sore neck, but even that was more bearable. I have tried many other migraine preventions (including boxtox) which never worked for me. I am cautiously optimistic about Ajovy. I am hoping things continue to get better! Ajovy has been nothing short of a miracle for me. I had daily headaches and brain fog for years. The day after my first injection I felt relief, and have had only two headaches in the past month that were managed by OTC medication. No side effects. I cpuld not be happier.

Worst possible drug ever. I was told there would be no side effects. Not long after the injection I got severe nausea, dizziness, and a headache. It has been persistent. I will never use this medication again.
