60 yr f with dry eyes at least 15 yrs. Restasis changed nothing. Xiidra set my eyes on fire for hrs; I was dedicated for a week before stopping in distress. I tried! Went back to Systane and other lubricant drops 12+/day. I find that if use Systane, then Cequa an he later that my eyes are calm. I still use Systane, less than half often, estimate 4-5/day. I've been using the sample pack from my eye doctor for the past 10 days. First few days, the burning and redness was terrible -- like I had pink eye. That began to subside and the dry eye improved quite a bit. However -- a big however -- I started getting unusual headaches (in the sinus area) that I hadn't experienced before starting the drops. The headache was constant and didn't respond to Tylenol. Not sure if this headache side effect improves or goes away over time? I can't continue this if it doesn't/ Read More Read Less

I tried using this when Kaiser decided to switch everyone off Restasis. The burning was bad and never got better. My doctor was willing to switch me back to Restasis. If you’re in a similar situation, you should ask!

I've used a few days but I may need to stop because of severe burning and gritty sensation. My eyes are sore and burning all the time now. I will go 2 weeks and hope the pain and burn subsides.

I had been using Restasis which not only helped but didn’t burn and blurry my vision. I can’t drive for almost an hour because my eyes are teary & blurry. Our insurance will no longer cover Restasis. My doctor prescribed Cequa which I may not be able to tolerate. I’ve not tried Xydra. Is it better than either Restasis or Cequa? Im back to using Systaine too.

I've been fighting dry eyes for 19 months. I've been to four ophthalmologists. The last one prescribed this. 48 hours later, my eyes are a light pink versus bloodshot red 24/7. I'm still using other lube drops, but if this is the result, I am good. Very happy so far....except for the coat. It's about $5 usd a drop. But then again, my eyes are almost back to normal. Age 63. Scroll down age is terrible.

Kaiser took Restasis off their formulary and substituted Cequa. Cequa is extremely painful and I must sit for 30 minutes in agony, burning and blinded with tears streaming down my face. My eyes are now returning to the former dry eyes that Restasis had stopped. So sad.

It burns. Very painful. I just started to use it for about a week. I had to stop after few days of using and gave myself a day of not using. Any eye drops you put after Cequa, burns. It works and I generate tears but the pain is difficult to handle. I feel warm on my eyes too even I close them. I will keep on using it.

Stinging, burning sensation on application, watery eyes throughout the day, eyes still drying out and feeling gritty - everything these eyedrops were supposed to cure. Restasis did not work well, but at least it wasn’t painful to use. Very expensive. Got custom serum eyedrops which are incredibly soothing. Downside is drops must be refrigerated.

When I wake up my eyes burn slightly. I put in these drop and it sets my eyes on fire for three to four hours. I've used then about three months and my eyes are more red now than before I started. Looks like it sped up the dry eye process. Thank you Newsom Eye in Carrollwood, FL

Have been using it for a little more than 2 months now. There is a slight burning sensation with application. Doctor said I should continue for a least 6 months so praying this will be the answer.

Burns just like Restasis. Has made my vision blurry, so I have a lot of trouble seeing. Eye Dr told me to stop using it.
