Had been on Advair for 10 yrs and gladly switched 5/2019 as my out of pocket limit was going way up under new plan. Same drugs and dosage but the delivery to the system seems less effective. With Advair I could miss a dose or be a few hours late and I wouldnâ??t even notice it. Now, I need to be really careful to take it exactly 12 hrs apart as thereâ??s no margin. Also I think I have to be more c...

I find the mouth piece difficult to use. It does not seem like I am inhaling enough of the medication.

My experience echos the same as the rest of these reviews. Using Wixela instead of my usual Advair has me short of breath all the time, it reminds of how I felt when I would miss a dose of Advair. I am clearly not getting enough medicine in my lungs. I too am having to use my rescue inhaler almost daily now. With Advair I rarely had to use my inhaler at all. This scares me since my pharmacy is legally required to use the generic of any medicine. How many of us will suffer because this generic drug is not up to par with Advair? I hope this inadequacy is recognized soon by the medical community so something can be done for us. Wixela is clearly not the answer Read More Read Less

This product doesn't work at all for me. I wheeze all day even after taking it twice a day. Advair worked for me and I only had to use it once per day. Mylan, your generic version of advair for asthma patients is going to kill someone because it doesn't treat asthma and will send asthma patients like me into an asthma attack! I hope someone sue's your company and your product is taken off the market!

I have been using advair for many years. I would use my advair once a day on average. Since switching to wixela I have been using it twice a day plus my rescue inhaler. This generic brand is a zero when it comes to my treatment for my asthma.

My asthma has been well-controlled on Advair for years. I rarely needed a rescue inhaler. I was sent the Wixela apparently as cost-cutting by the insurance company through Caremark. Now I have symptoms all day, AND it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth ALL DAY & NIGHT! I have quit taking it, and will see my doctor soon about this.

I have had Asthma since I was 5 and have been on Advair for the last 5 years. My pharmacy gave me Wixela and it is not worth paying $5. Even if it was free I would not take this medication. The delivery system is poor and does not adequately disperse the medication. I would not waist your time with Wixela and allow your asthma symptoms to get out of control. Stick with Advair, it is worth it. The idea of a cheaper medication is great though.

I’ve been taking this for two weeks now. I’d rather go back to my $25 copay than pay $5 for this worthless junk. Since I’ve started taking this, my asthma has slowly trickled back in and I’ve had to use my rescue inhaler. Not only that, but I’ve also had a stuffy nose ever since. When I originally started Advair, the first day was a stuffy nose and heavy sneezing but went away. With Wixela it feels like it’s never going to end!! Hopefully the next refill I can have my doctor/insurance switch me back. Read More Read Less

I am NOT satisfied with this medication at all. If it were possible, I would rate it as ZERO. The inhaler is extremely awkward, very inconvenient to use, the powder does not get into the respiratory tract, it all remains on the upper part of the oral cavity, in the mouth. Because of this, there is no feeling that the medicine works. I am very-very unhappy with wixela inhub.

I don't know if it's the drug or the dispenser. I suspect the dispenser. There is no good way to inhale wexella. I struggle everyday, didn't with advair.

I have been using Advair 250/50 for the last 5 years no problems except very expensive. Beginning of April recieved to my surprise the generic 3 months worth through the care site mail order pharmacy I am required to use by my insurance. At first I thought this was wonderful $15 for 3 months instead of $45 each month. But it went downhill from there. The packaging itself is not bad but more awkward to use. The nail in the coffin for me was my skin reacted horrible!!! Keep in mind I never had acne issues even in my teen years. I also did NOT change makeup, skin care, soaps, shampoo, laundry soap anything at all. Now having terrible breakouts all over my entire face, rash like in areas, extremely dry and irritated. Only change was the Wixela. Stopped taking it (without asking my doctor....) and within 3 days my skin is almost clear and back to normal. This generic while amazing in price is so different in formula as gave me a terrible skin reaction. Run don't walk from this junk.Read More Read Less

I just was forced to switch from Advair to the Inhub inhaler by my insurance company. I had an open mind, but after the first 2 weeks on the Inhub I feel like I used to when I would miss doses of Advair - shortness of breath, wheezing, etc. My asthma is not controlled, it ewas fully controlled with the Advair. Not happy and don't recommend this generic.

I am in my early 70's and have been taking Advair for about 6 years. Three days ago, I went to pick up my Rx and no one told me that my medicine had changed to Wixela. I have already noticed a significant difference. I am more lethargic and my breathing more labored. I do not feel Wixela to be effective and would like to change back to Advair asap.

I've been using advair for 14 years. I was just switched over to Wixela 2 weeks ago and I find myself often feeling shortness of breathe and having to use my rescue inhaler more. I also feel that I am the medication is not getting to my lungs. That how the mouth peice is, it just hits my tongue. I'd rather pay the extra money to switch back to advair.

It just doesnâ??t work. My pharmacy gave me this instead of the advair. Iâ??ve been on Advair forever and itâ??s always helped. Iâ??m on Wixela and find Iâ??m having a million asthma attacks. Plus the attacks are not good ones. Iâ??m getting worse and worse by the day and Iâ??ve found out that the pharmacy canâ??t give me Advair unless my Dr writes a specific brand. So I get to waste my time and money to go back to the Dr. plus I canâ??t get a refill for a month. So letâ??s hope I hold up until I can fix this. I wish these companies would stop messing with peopleâ??s health all for the saving the almighty dollar. Read More Read Less

I have used Advair 250/50 since its first release and always wondered when a generic alternative would finally appear. What a disappointment! Like the other reviewers, it seems like the delivery mechanism is to blame. It is very hard to inhale through the diskus and it never feels like it is getting the medication deep into your lungs. This seems to be proven by the fact that my asthma has been more persistent, both at night and during the day. I even had to pull over mid-way through a bike ride to use an albuterol rescue inhaler. It's the same medication as Advair, but because of the device, it is not working effectively. Read More Read Less

I have taken Advair 250/50 for 25 years with great results. Now, 19 days on Wixela 250/50 and I can't breathe. I don't feel like the medicine is reaching my lungs or even my mouth for that matter. I follow the usage directions carefully.

After having used Advair 250/50 for several years, I started using Wixela 250/50 three weeks ago, and I am now experiencing my first asthma flareup since two years ago with intense coughing, wheezing, chest pain, and shortness of breath.
