I was on Nuvaring for 11 years. Due to insurance I had to use the generic or pay full price for Nuvaring. I ended up in the ER with an adverse reaction to this medication after only 2.5 weeks. My blood pressure was 166/114! Made up my mind that I will be tying my tubes. So sick of getting sick from these medications.

I have been on Nuva ring since 2014. Since the switch to the generic I have done a full 180 in mood, and how I handle simple situations. I do notice more cramping the first few days but no overall change in my cycle. My mood swings are terrible, I cry all the time as if I’m depressed. I’ve noticed this change is my behavior about mid March, I had my first generic version 2/20/20 and my mental health has not been the same since.

I have been on the nuva ring on and off for years. I was surprised when i opened my prescription to see this instead of name brand nuva, didn't think anything of it, popped it in. 2 1/2 weeks later, I am MISERABLE. I am almost at 4 weeks now, I have had bad bleeding, cramping and clotting for 8 days straight. I am so sick to my stomach, I am a ball of rage...thanks big pharma for the crappy generic. Can't afford the real nuva ring anymore. I am so disappointed. Do not be fooled, this is not the nuva.Read More Read Less

I have to use to use this generic version now since insurance won't cover Nuva anymore. I believe this generic causes me to have mood swings. It also doesn't help with hormonal acne like Nuva did as my chin always seems to have zits now. My period is no longer predictable. I'm on my 4th month and I took it out yesterday and I was already bleeding upon removal! I'm glad I'm not using it for birth control because I would not trust it!

THE WORST. Nuvaring changed my life several years ago, like no other birth control ever had. EluRyng has set me back 30 years to painful, cramping, gushing, irregular cycles. First month fine, heavy 10 day breakthrough periods every 2 weeks since for the next 5 months. Iâ??m lucky enough to be able to switch back to Nuvaring, doc called me in brand name only... if I survive this period :/ DONâ??T SWITCH OR USE THIS IF YOU CAN HELP IT!

HORRIBLE! I was on Nuvaring for years with no issue. Insurance won't cover me for it, and put me on this. First month was fine. Second month- I've been bleeding for over 2 weeks. I've had a monthly cycle for 25+ years and never had this. This drug is messing with my body and I'm not dealing with it. I took it out days ago but I'm still bleeding. AVOID THIS IF YOU CAN!

I got switched to the generic when it came out. I thought, how different can it be? I was blindsided by how wrong that assumption was. It barely lasts the full 21 days. I had one last 21 and the next last 14, which is ridiculous. I liked the Nuvaring because it lasted forever, was reliable, and kept almost all of my worst menstrual complaints away. This generic is a disgrace.

I had been on the Nuvaring for many years with great success and little to no side effects. My insurance switched me to the generic version Eluryng. I tried it for a few months and had so many side effects. 3 week period, Migraines, anxiety attacks, insomnia, mood swings. It is definitely nothing like the Nuvaring I was using. The actual ring is different as well. It is stiffer than the Nuvaring, making it harder to insert and remove. My doctor wrote me a script saying brand name medically needed. That was the only way I could get back on Nuvaring. Read More Read Less

I liked it at first but I noticed I was getting mood swings.. I wasnâ??t sure it was because of the ring so I kept using it. Well the past couple days Iâ??ve been so easily annoyed, my chin is breaking out which I havenâ??t dealt with in years and Iâ??ve been having cramps, bloating and feeling of diarrhea.. I JUST snatched it out and started lookin for reviews. I usually donâ??t look at reviews because I get scared but I know my body and something was off. I almost felt a little relief as I yanked it out, honestly..... Canâ??t wait until elective surgeries are back. I need my tubes tied..Read More Read Less

Had nuvaring for almost 3 years and loved, my only complaint was I could not skip more than one period at a time, but 6 periods per year is definitely better than 12! Recently my insurance switched me to Eluryng, on my third ring now. Have not experienced the terrible side effects others have mentioned, at least not yet. But I absolutely hate it because its more rigid than Nuvaring and it keeps coming out of place and sticking out which is very uncomfortable and annoying! Never had this issue with Nuvaring. The biggest pro of Nuvaring was putting it in and forgetting it was there because it was so comfortable. Very disappointed with Eluryng and will be going back to Nuvaring before any other unpleasant experiences come up, the ridiculous copay for Nuvaring is worth it!Read More Read Less

Been on the NuvaRing for years with no issue. Was forced to switch because of insurance and it has been hell ever since. Iâ??ve experienced migraines that literally put me in bed along with cramps that will make me pause in the middle of a step. My cycle was three to four days with the generic I bled for two weeks straight. Iâ??m switching birth control because I cannot deal with the negative side effects. This drug needs to taken off the shelves.

I was on the Nuvaring after I had my daughter since Mirena didn't work for me either and loved it!! I never had an side effects and it was covered by my insurance! However, since the generic of nuvaring came out my insurance no longer covers Nuvaring and I have been more aggravated, angry, sad, more than ever! I also have rosacea and it has been extremely inflamed, and i have seen more cystic acne as well which usually I can control. Not to mention the awful headaches which can last a week around your period! I do NOT recommend this product to anyone and I have asked to be switched back to Nuvaring even if I have to pay!Read More Read Less

These reviews are so comforting, I was starting to think something was mentally wrong with me. My mood swings have been insane and I am definitely easily angered and it’s hard for me to come down. I’m also always nauseous and constantly dealing with headaches.

Iâ??ve been using NuvaRing for years then was forced to switch to this generic version the past couple months. Let me tell you, avoid it at all costs. Iâ??ve had mood swings x100, spotting the whole time, horrible cramps and headaches. Iâ??ve never had such mixed dramatic moods in my life. Iâ??ll be blessed if I donâ??t ruin any relationships I have with anyone. Iâ??m thankful for reviews that are very similar, I feel less crazy but this generic version is HELLLLL. To top it off my birthday is next week, no big deal *EYE ROLL*Read More Read Less

I have been on nuva ring for years and was recently switched to generic version due to insurance. I have been on generic for 3 months now and I have headaches and major mood swings! Never a problem before. I will definitely be switching back to name brand even if I have to pay for it! I have not been myself and seem to be very easily angered all the time! THAT IS NOT ME!

I was on nuvaring for 2 years. I changed my insurance in 2020 and had to get this generic version. I’ve had severe migraines that last a week and a half. It’ll start right before my cycle comes and last a few days after I’m off. I didn’t have this issue with the nuvaring. Migraines are the only issue I’ve had.

I was forced to switch to the generic for NuvaRing, Eluryng right as it came out. I had horrible side effects: cramping, migraines, vaginal odor, discolored discharge, sever acne breakout on face and chest, and mood swings
