Got pregnant the first month of using this birth control. Followed the user directions to a T. But still here I am, 13 weeks pregnant.

I am older nearing menopause so this was a really great option for me. I've always been leery of taking hormones. This is a fantastic break from condoms for me and my spouse. Love Love Love it! Kind of doubles as a lubricant as well.

I have been using for a few months and have not gotten pregnant. I am very happy with the ease of use and its effectiveness without using hormones. I become very depressed using the pill so had to stop using it. I have had no side effects from Phexxi and only use it when I need it.

Phexxi is a GODSEND! It has changed my marriage. I am very sensitive to hormonal birth control and can no longer use it. I am terrified of getting the copper IUD and experiencing the side effects it has on periods. My husband and I were using condoms and feeling like teenagers (not in the good way). My OBGYN recommended Phexxi. It’s amazing. Easy to insert, feels like nothing is there (maybe a little “citrus-y” the first few times!), and gives me wonderful piece of mind. I use Phexxi in combination with the withdrawal method. I’ve been using it for a year and I can’t express enough just how grateful I am to have access to a non-hormonal, take-as-needed birth control. 3 months in and so far so good. We use this and the pull out method. He’s happy to not use condoms and I’m happy to finally be off the pill for the first time in a decade. We haven’t had any reactions and the lube is nice. Putting on condoms sometimes killed the mood but I use Phexxi earlier when things start to heat up so sex feels a little more natural now. It’s probably not for everyone but my partner and I are very happy.

I have tried a wide range of hormonal birth control methods and the paragard, which have all resulted in terrible side effects. After some failed condom experiences, I decided to try something new to add to my fertility tracking method. I haven't had any issues with Phexxi other than it does leak out for a while afterward. However, it is easy to use and acts as lube without making me feel irritated, so overall it is a great option for me.

EXTREMELY cost prohibitive. $280 for 12 pack if you don’t have PRIVATE insurance. No insurance? $280. Government insurance? $280. Truly unfortunate as I was looking forward to trying this product.

I had doubts in beginning when start using phexxi but now it’s already like 6 months since I am using. It really works to its promise plus gel enhances sexual pleasure. It’s definitely worth a try.

I was always concern about side effects from using pills but this new product is really great and works perfect for me. Will recommend this to others.

I got a positive pregnancy test after only using Phexxi 3 times. I have never been pregnant before and you can imagine my shock at this happening at the age of 42. Over the years I have used every form of birth control imaginable and never experienced a pregnancy so I would not recommend Phexxi unless you are kinda open to having a baby soon.

As someone who dislikes condoms and is really concerned about the side effects from the pill, I'm glad I tried Phexxi! I was a little hesitant to try it, but so far it's been great! It's easy to apply and personally I didn't feel anything when using it (in fact, because it's a thicker gel, it was almost like a lube and made sex more enjoyable!!). As someone who does NOT want to get pregnant, I'm combining with tracking my cycle and the pullout method to increase effectiveness. The only con was that it slowly leaks out over the course of an hour or two after sex, which wasn't super enjoyable, but I'd rather have that than deal with laundry list of side effects that come with hormonal birth control.
