When my pharmacy sent me a notification that my Xulane had been switched to this new alternative, I definitely did NOT have any positive expectations, especially after visiting many review posts on Zafemy. I was extremely worried about breakthrough bleeding, heavy clotting, a messed up cycle (I'm 30, so I've had more than enough of inconsistent cycling), and the consistent reviews that the Zafemy ...

It fell off after only four days of use. My skin was dry and clean upon application. I pressed for ten seconds as specified. This patch does not work very well, has very little stick ability. I do NOT recommend it. Manufacturer was annoying to get ahold of or have responsibility for their product.

Never had an issue with Xulane or Ortho patch. In fact, the patch has been the only effective birth control for me. 1st day using this I got a migraine so bad I couldn’t see and vomited. Took it off and have been fine since. It’s a no for me

Been using Zafemy alongside my two other medications buspirone and fluoxetine, I use them all together not sure how it affects me to a major point but all I have to say is 1. Doesn't stick good at all 2. Although I take two mood medications, it still causes feeling of depression and eating problems (I barely eat) 3. I can't believe this is still being sold. I haven't tried any other bc or else I would know how to compare them but this makes me feel nauseous 24/7, i feel like everyone's said the same thing so I'll just leave this here. Do not buy this product. Read More Read Less

The patches are hard to keep stuck on compared to Zulane. By the end of one week, I start to have dark discharge like my period is beginning and then I switch to the next patch. I also noticed a difference in my disposition, I started to become almost depressed and then luckily my pharmacy has Zulane back in stock and I went back to normal.

Was given Zafemy after being on Xulane since starting birth control. It took 3 patches to get ONE to stick to my skin, and I followed the instructions exactly. Hopefully when I refill again, I’ll get Xulane because I’m very displeased with Zafemy. I shouldn’t have had to go through so many patches to get one to stick.

These patches will not stay on! My local pharmacy had no xulane in stock and i had no choice but to use this generic brand for the month. So disappointed because my patch started falling off on the first day! Another pregnancy will kill me and im honestly terrified. Can't believe this product is still being sold. I'm a Registered Nurse and would never recommend this patch.

Was auto-switched to this from Zulane. I have so many problems with it falling off. I also feel like my hormonal acne and cramps have gotten worse with Zafemy. Will be looking for a different pharmacy that still carries Zulane.

The patch does not stay on! By the middle of the 1st day it's falling off. I applied it to clean dry skin and still it WON'T STAY! So frustrating.

I was on Xulane, got switched to Zafemy. This patch is so bad at sticking. Within about 20 seconds of putting it on its already peeling off partially, without me even moving. I can't trust it to not fall off, especially god forbid I have to move even slightly.

This is the only birth control that’s worked for me and I’ve used them all. I love the simplicity. It’s very effective and I have no issues. No weight gain, no cramping, effective application no matter where it’s applied, and extremely light periods. Absolutely love this birth control!

May daughter has had all the same negative issues of listed here. Our doc said Walgreens carries Xulane, so we are switching from our other pharmacy who doesn't. Our pharmacy didn't even tell us they had switched it out in January and it has been awful since.

I have PMDD, which isn’t uncommon! I had enough of my hellacious periods. I’ve only used these patches for a week, and I think I feel some cramping/bloatedness but that could be attributed to my variable diet. I am using this to mitigate hormonal effects as todays world is not built around womens health (2 sick days a month would be ideal, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations would help but it’s a man’s world so… no knowledge and birth control with all its side effects it is. Being a woman in todays world is a pre existing condition it feels! Luckily my friend Recd some books on womens health so I’ll do that instead of internet searches. :) stay strong friends!Read More Read Less

If I could give negative stars I definitely would. Literally 3 days after putting it on I was sooo depressed, like literally cried everyday. But the mood swings were so drastic. One second I would be completely fine then the next I would be super super depressed. My breast were uncomfortable and my body hurt. I was very unmotivated and literally just wanted to lay in the bed all day and be sad. I was literally scared because it felt like I was so depressed I couldn’t even see my future anymore. The brand should be BANNED!!!!Read More Read Less

This should literally be BANNED! 1st off it doesn't stay on. It caused me to get cramps I never get. Threw my hormones off so bad I became very moody, depressed & even contemplated hurting myself & others... why? Please tell me why can't we get xulane or ortho evra anymore? This has got to be taken off the market IMMEDIATELY before someone gets hurts ???? literally the worst experience of my life!

I’ve been using Zafemy for a little over 3 weeks now.. pretty much immediately I got horrible cramps like I was on my period. Those went away eventually but then I got cravings, acne breakouts, and now my boobs hurt SO BAD and I’m spotting and I’ve been super depressed and unmotivated. I don’t have any trouble with it sticking to my body but the side effects are hellacious. Never had these problems with Xulane. I’m glad it works for the few people who like it but man it is not for me.

Used to use Xulane, wish it didn’t get discontinued. These patches won’t even stay adhesive. Pretty useless at this point. The patches fall off couple days after I replace it. It messes up my cycle because of this issue. Manufacturer of Zafemy patches needs to fix this issue otherwise I’m gonna have to switch birthcontrols.
