Weeks 1-4 on 0.25. Hunger diminished, exercising regularly, riding my bike daily. Week 5 I started .5 and that's where this story unfortunately will end. I cannot explain how sick I am. I've had a hiatal hernia which is dormant for 20 or more years, I take nexium daily. It's I describable how sick I've been. Reporting on 7 months of Wegovy after 6 months of prior lifestyle therapy. I started with a BMI of 32 at 217 pounds. With calorie counting aiming for 1500 calories a day, I was able to get to 200 pounds with constant cravings and food obsession. Since starting Wegovy I have lost an additional 35 pounds but with absolutely no food cravings or obsession. It was embarrassingly easy to lose weight on Wegovy. No nausea. I have classic symptoms of weight loss: 1) some fatigue initially when I was losing weight quickly, which has now resolved; 2) cold intolerance has been my most discomforting side effect; 3) bowel movements only once every 5-7 days but without any symptoms of constipation. Nearing a plateau in my weight with only 2 pounds weight loss in the last month and BMI 24. I could not be more pleased and feel blessed that I have excellent insurance with virtually no co-pay. I am 63 years old and have not had a BMI of 24 since I was in my early teens.Read More Read Less

What an experience. I am totally shocked by how this medication worked for me since starting 19 days ago. I did not know what to expect when I started this and of coarse was anxious about side effects. But I will be using my third injection in 2 days and am all in. Let me make a list of what I experienced on this med. From Day 2 I did not Crave food. I did not think about my next meal I did not feel the hunger one feels when they are obese. You know what I mean I have gone every morning but two without breakfast. Yes I know its the most important meal. But its also a chance for your body to start burning fat. I dont care what nutritionist say it worked for me in the past. And if I can only have coffee until 1130a I am doing this. So lets see how this goesRead More Read Less

I've lost over 50lbs in the 5-6 months I've been taking it, I'll be off it soon due to it no longer being $25 a month for me (insurance won't cover it sadly). It's definitely worked but has come with a lot of stomach issues. They improved when I started taking digestive enzymes with meals, but it didn't completely go away. I've been able to tolerate it though since I was only getting the massive discount for 6 months.

I m so thankful for this medication. I have lost 65 lbs since August 1, 2021 with minimal side effects. My favorite part of taking Wegovy is that it has changed the way I think about food. For me, the challenge and struggle in losing weight is that I constantly thought about what I was or wasn't eating. Wegovy has changed that. I rarely have cravings. If I do, a small bite of something satisfies the craving. Thankfully, my insurance has approved it through Aug 2022. Hopefully, I will be able to get it for my cost of $25/month after then. I hope that insurance agencies will see the value in approving weight loss medication for prevention of comorbidities of obesity. Read More Read Less

I have never been so sick in all my life. Sure it works, anyone would lose weight if they’re constantly sick. It’s like a forced eating disorder because if you eat more than a few bites you’ll vomit and then eventually you lose your appetite completely. Constantly nausea for 4 months will do that to you. It did solve a problem for me in getting a large amount of weight off, 40 lbs in 4 months to be exact. Due to a health issue (diagnosis of RA) I suddenly gained a lot of weight and couldn’t get it back off. I’m not sure that this would work for someone who’s been overweight for an extended period of time for the sheer fact that you don’t learn any healthy habits so I’m not sure how you would maintain it once discontinuing Wegovy. I’m not even sure i won’t gain it back for the same reason. Not eating is not healthy, vomiting every week is not healthy and is it really safe to mess with your blood sugar and pancreas? I’m grateful for getting this head start and hope that I can now move to (my own) phase two and work with a nutritionist because I just can’t do it anymore. Bottom line it may have some benefits for some people but there are a lot of side effects so proceed with caution. Words just could not express how incredibly sick I have been since starting this! I started at the lowest dose and got to the maximum 2.4 at 4 months. Read More Read Less

I’m learning how much I can’t eat to lose and maintain weight but I had to go to reduced dosage of 1.0 from 1.7 because I was nauseous and constipated most of the time. Going back to 1.7 because the hunger is coming back although I still can’t eat much. Will go back to 1.0 if nauseousness returns the same as before.

Im on my last dose of 1.7mg. Everything before 1.7mg was perfect and now is hell. I’m never constipated and being in 1.7mg kill my appetite completely because the food would get stuck in my stomach and in my throat. I can’t feel bowel movements cause every time I feel I’m going to have one, is stuck. Peeing have become difficult. There’s nothing in the side effects that talk about problems with peeing but I’m having them. I have try using miralax but it won’t work. I’m currently taking magnesium citrate and is not working. I will probably develop a infection and have to get a colostomy. I lost 20lbs in 4 months but at what cost?! Beware, if it gives you this symptoms talk to your doctor. I’m doing that on Monday.Read More Read Less

Week 4, No effect. Actually have gained weight. Think the starting dose is to get your body used to the drug so there's no side effects at higher doses.

The first two months were pretty good. I was experiencing decreased appetite, heartburn, some nausea and weight loss. Month three as the dosage increased, I started experiencing a lot of nausea. Had to be extremely careful not to eat more than a few bites or vomiting occurred., Fourth month I was extremely ill with every bite I put in my mouth. I am now on 1.7 and contemplating stopping the medication. It’s time to increase to 2.4 but I told my doctor there’s no way and she gave me another prescription for 1.7. She also provided an anti-nausea medication that helps just a little. Very torn because I want to keep losing but I also want to stop feeling sick every single day. My husband thinks this is ridiculous and I should stop because he is tired of me being sick. In my third month I also started experiencing headaches and they continue. This last month I am experiencing severe muscle cramps in my back where nothing seems to relieve it. Thank goodness it’s only happened a few days here and there. I’m down 25 pounds with a goal of another 15. I just don’t know if I can continue. Very torn!Read More Read Less

I was 75 lbs overweight and do a lot of stress eating. I am currently on .5mg dose for 3 weeks and have lost 14 lbs. Side effects include dull headaches which go away with Tylenol. Some constipation, but not real bad. My worst is the fatigue, it will effect your blood sugar. I have little or no appetite, but force myself to eat three meals a day based on diet plan.

I have been on this medication since October, and I have lost 28 pounds. This medication has had little side effects for me and has taught me portion control. I have been on phentermine before and this by far is the best overall weight loss drug.

Sick. AfterI went to the 1.7mg sick sick sick. I lost 16 pounds and 4 of those was the 6 weeks I managed to stay on the 1.7. Decreased to the1.0 then. Also haveLyme and fibromyalgia and this made my pain worse because I could not go to the bathroom anymore. It was scary. So I will come down on the wegovy. I was ok until the 1.7. Side effects are TIRED! NAUSEA REALLY BAD. BURPING CONSTIPATION. I CRIED I felt so ill. I'll go down to the low dose and lose 1 or 2 pounds a month. Fine. No more high dose. Taking a 3 week break right night. Maybe I'll go to the bathroom. Also people...if you lose weight too fast your hair will cone out. Careful. I list 16 pounds in 4 months and I'm worried because I just regrew my hair from my illness. Be careful. Tirate SLOWLY I'm 53 yers oldRead More Read Less

Immediately after the injection I have a day or two of a hazy headache and other mild side effects. I notice the most side effects when I up my dosage (at 1.7 currently) but by the end of the 4 shots I notice less and less. I get very tired initially and the mild headache along with acid reflex can be annoying but the results have been worth it. I feel less interested in eating, even if my favorite food is around I’m just not getting the same satisfaction from it that I did in the past. I haven’t been great about exercising but I’ve still been losing 2-3 (sometimes more) lbs a week. I’m definitely an advocate for this shot if other procedures and plans haven’t worked for you. I lost 20 pounds the first 2 months. I thought this is easy. When my dose was increased to 1 it was down hill from there.. I developed gall stones and severe pancreatis. After a stay in the hospital several antibiotics and gall bladder removed I'm feeling better. Needless to say no more wegovy for me.

No weight loss. And the pen is a joke. I’m injecting it into my leg but I have to see the yellow line has stopped moving at some point after it clicks the second time? It’s the only Rx Injection I’ve taken that’s like this. It’s like they want consumers to screw up so they’re on the medication longer.

This is the worst weight loss medication I have ever taken in my life. I started with .25. Week one, no side effect except for a little acid reflux. 2 days into week 2, the acid reflux was so horrible, I spent 2 nights not being able to sleep because I was coughing all night from the acid. It wasn’t until the following day that things turned really bad. I had a headache like I’ve never experienced. I was nauseous and vomiting. I was weak and heard ringing in my ears. I went to Urgent Care. My BP was 171/100 and I am always normal. It wasn’t until today that I feel somewhat better. I will never take this medication again nor do I recommend anyone taking this. This could have been life threatening. Definitely not worth it!!! The FDA should pull this medication immediately!Read More Read Less
