Very tolerable, much more tolerable than Restasis and Xydra. Follow the instructions exactly and it is easily tolerated. I have been using Tyrvaya for one week. I have some improvement and will use at least 3 months and reevaluate.

I recently was diagnosed with Sjögren’s and before diagnosis I had red painful eyes for months! It was horrific! I finally got the diagnosis and had dry eye test and was prescribed Xiidra. I tried to give it time to work, but after two months I felt like my eyesight was literally going away. It burned. My eyes were redder! On a last whim I agreed to see an optometrist my husband found. She said to try this nasal spray. I work in a hospital and had a Walgreens down the hall…so when it was ready o brought it to my desk and reluctantly squirted one in each nostril. It burned a little, but nothing worse than my eye agony. I swear, after about two hours I realized I was grasping for my pack of eye drops I carry with me! I asked my coworkers if my eyes look better…and they couldn’t believe it! I looked in the mirror and they were white! They felt like they used to before this new horrible world happened with dry eyes/Sjögren’s. I’ve only had a few doses, but I’ve literally cried tears of gratitude and hope after this medicine. My name is Julia. I’m 39 years old. I have 2 boys. And I have hope now. I hope this stuff works for you!!! My only request is to make it affordable. With insurance I had to pay $100. I almost told Walgreens I didn’t want it, but I didn’t. I need it. BUT I don’t know how I’m going to factor an extra $100 a month into my budget. All that aside. It works.Read More Read Less

I followed directions to the tee, NOT inserting nozzle, aiming spray away from the middle, aiming outward toward ears. Never even tasted it because I was applying correctly. Sneezing immediate but no big deal. However, after 6 days, my nose felt like a pressure was building up between my eyes and inside the bridge of my nose. Stopped using as I felt it was more an irritant than anything else. Plus absurdly expensive for one month's supply. And you never stop using it. It's not a cure but instead, just an alternative to drops.Read More Read Less

Does it make me sneeze at application? Yes, but only one or two then it's over. Is it a pain that I feel like I waste product at times because it requires priming more often then it should? Yes. For something SO expensive it pains me every time I spray it into the air. It is expensive, but I've never had to pay full price with their coupon codes etc. But it works, it works better then any drops I've tried. I can finally wear my contacts again. I can sleep without my eyelids sticking to my eyeballs. So everything else is worth it.Read More Read Less

Nothing came out of the bottle after sitting 12 hours . Had to prime before each use. Very expensive. And, did you know, it used to be Chantix? They took it off the market… How did the pill become a nasal spray for dry eyes? Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I have only been on this for about a week. I was rather surprised by the nose burning but decided to push through. Each dose has less and less. For me, it seems to be working a bit. I will give it the full month to decide. It is hard to coordinate with allergy nose spray but will work that out too. My biggest complaint is massive on stop runny nose for about 10 mins after using (and the muld sneezing but i get that with my allergy meds so mo big deal). Once that goes away, I am fine. I hope to see the vision improvement and eye comfort soon. I used a savings card on thr manufacturers site to get a $10 copay. You can only use this if you have insurance. Read More Read Less

I experienced prolong and excessive sneezing with each use. I followed directions and also called the maker for suggestions. They said to follow the directions. Yes, the sneezing made my eye water but the effects were temporary. I did not have any relief othewise. I do not recommend this product.

I have only used Tyrvaya 3 times and each time the burning in my nose and throat is unbearable. The burning last for over 5 minutes. How do I describe the pain: imagine the covid test pain times 100.

I could no tolerate this medications due to severe sneezing after each use. I followed instructions to the letter and called company help line for tips. They had no suggestions. They suggested that these severe sneezing episdoes might be an adverse effect. I have hypermobile joints and the severe sneezing episodes was causing strain and discomfort to those joints; no matter how carefully I administered the sprays. I am disappointed since I no longer get relief from eye drops, blinking exercises and hot pack treatment. My doctor warned about possible burning sensation which I did not experince but did not warn that 82% of people in clinnical trials had sneezing. Perhaps some experinces this in a mild way but mine were severe. Read More Read Less

I have not produced tears when I cry for 5 years and also have meibomian gland atrophy. MMP is always positive despite treatment. I have been on Restasis 4 years and twice daily heat treatments with microwavable mask, 5-10 minutes combined with blinking exercises. Two years ago Regener-eyes was added on, professional strength 3 times daily. This made my chronically abnormal cornea exam with lots of fluorscene staining normalize and also helped return some sensation to the eye numbness. These treatments did not help my unstable vision. It was difficult to read for any length of time because of blurriness. Tyrvaya cleared up the blurriness almost immediately. I have been using 2 months and can read books again without difficulty. So it has helped immensely with visual acuity. I am on Medicare part D. I started with a sample and needed pre-approval for the prescription, but they did approve when given the above information. The first month was $258 and the second month $198. I haven't had any trouble with the spray bottle, am finishing up the 4th. Sneezing and coughing are less than when I first started. I may be imagining it, but it seems my mouth is also less dry. I need to stay on top of all my treatments as described, though can sometimes get by on twice a day Regener-eyes or symptoms return. I am seronegative for Sjogren's and strongly positive for rheumatoid factor and more recently anti-ccp. I started methotrexate 6 months ago when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The arthritis symptoms are minimal but the Sjogren's symptoms are not. Hope this helps. Read More Read Less

The Non stop sneezing and coughing is not worth it! You cant use it anytime Only at home because of the instant sneeze and coughing. Then it’s expensive! It’s a no for me. I have intense dry eyes but I will PASS on this one! My eye Dr gave me a full size sample and am not pay 600+ for it!

My dry eye are better and I think its working. The side effects are NOT worth the hassle. The crazy sneezing I could live with. But having a sore throat with post nasal drip, every day all day is NOT for me. When I use it at night I cough all night and can't sleep. I then have to take a sudafed type product and that dries my eyes out. It is a viscous circle. I stopped the spray for a few days and I felt better. The day I started with the spray again it was runny nose, post nasal drip and my throat feeling scratchy all the time. Ha, I also forgot to mention the crazy dreams I have while on this! Not sure if that is related at all but now that I stopped the nightmares have gone away. Read More Read Less

Wrote earlier experience of bottles not spraying. My solution to the non-spraying is to pump the bottle until a spray comes out & then IMMEDIATELY spray inside my nostrils. Tyrvaya is the only RX that has helped with my DED. My vision is now normal. Will continue to use this production even with the spraying difficulties. Oyster Point Pharma is working on the spray problem. Will take several months per Oyster. BUT RX DOES work.

I just started this product and was reading the reviews. I wanted to share my experience with eye serem. I felt like I had sand in my eyes all the time. Nothing seemed to help. About 3 months ago I went to San Antonio and had eye serem drops made from my blood. It relieved my dry eye by 90% almost immediatley. 6 months of drops for $375.

Have DED. Tried numerous other Rx. Have had 3 sample bottles of Tyrvaya. All will not spray med. Believe it could help me if it would consistently spray the med. Can not decide whether i should fill my prescription. Have phoned & texted back & forth with manufacture (Oyster Point Pharmacy, Inc) about the non spraying. Their offer is they would like me to return the samples to them but not replace them!!!! Because of the high price i would like a dependable sample to see if the Rx works for me. I will be on a long term Rx for my Dry Eye Disease.Read More Read Less

Prescribed for post cataract surgery dry eyes. Reading these reviews it's stunning to me how many people have NO CLUE how to administer this spray properly and then write negative reviews. If your nose is burning and stinging, sneezing, coughing and you can taste it in your throat you're doing it wrong! The tip does NOT go "up into" your nostril as one reviewer wrote, you only put the top of the tip just at the opening of your nostril and aim the spray at the wall of your inside lower nostril area, head tilted back slightly with tounge on roof of mouth. It takes a little practice but is not a difficult concept. Again, you are not supposed to spray it UP your nose, it will cause the burning and sneezing etc. To be truthful I've have only been on it a couple weeks but I'm starting to see some relief. We'll see how the product fairs in another month or so, but sheesh people, learn how to use it as intended before you write negative reviews, lol.Read More Read Less

After 2 weeks of use there is no decrease in dry eyes. In fact, it seems that my eyes are even drier. The pump mechanism is unreliable. Often no spray is emitted or what seems to be too much. Not only does the product sting nostrils and throat, but it produces violent sneezing and some coughing for at least 10 minutes following each use. The ineffectiveness of this product combined with the uncomfortable side effects raises question as to why the FDA gave approval. Most disappointing, the company was totally unresponsive to my expressed concerns. The representatives seemed inexperienced and defensive, They took up a lot of my time documenting my concerns, but provided no solution. Why, I wonder, did the FDA approve Ymir drug? There are clearly some quality control lacks in both product and company management. Read More Read Less
