When the results were positive for Lyme Disease (stage 2), the first IV medication was Zinacef. I felt worse than the symptoms from the disease. As soon as the medication bottle was empty (30 mins.) I was vomiting and dry heaving for 4-5 hours. The medication was distributed every 6 hours. This continued for 2 days, then switched me to a different medication.
