drops have lowered my eye pressure, grew longer lashes, on the down side have recently had severe dryness in nasal passages, moved to mouth and now my throat, wonder if this medication is responsible? Any others with this side effect?

The original Lumigan (0.3) worked very well for me and kept my pressures down. However, the new version (0.1) has not worked at all, since my pressures went way up! WHY can't we have the option to retain the original version?

I have used Lumigan .03 for years. Dr. now advised that .01 is only available. Since using .01, my pressure has increased in both eyes. Has anyone experienced the same? And, is .03 still available if prescribed by Dr.?

My eye pressure was immediately reduced, however I am typically not adversely affected by a drug, but this time I am experiencing severe vertigo when moving from vertical to horizontal and vice versa - any side to side movement and I'm miserably dizzy to the point where I have fallen once. I will probably not be able to continue with it.

I had tremendous headaches, dried, irritated sinuses, to the point my teeth were hurting. Stopped drops after contacting manufacturer as doctor had told me headaches weren't a side effect.

Because of tripling of co-pay of Lumigan I had considered using Xalatan, but after reading the reviews, have decided to stick with Lumigan. The side effects are much worse with the Xalatan Lumigan does make my eyes/lids very red, so much so I look like I'm on chemo or something. I do have occ. eye pain, and my eyes feel gritty and "dirty." I also sometimes feel like I'm getting a cold/post-nasal drip/sore throat. But the Lumigan has brought my eye pressure down to 9 so despite the cost, I'm gonna stick with. My Dr. told me to press the inside corner of my eyes and sides of my nose when I put the drops in and that helps with the cold/nasal feeling. I wash my eyes daily with a few drops of baby shampoo in warm water and that helps with the gritty feeling. I just dip a Q-tip in the warm water and literally wash my lashes/eyes/under the rims. I do this in the morning. At night after I put my drops in, I take a cotton ball dipped in warm water and wipe under my eyes and anywhere else that gets wet from putting the drops in. I also use a blemish concealer from Neutrogena on my eyeslids and that does mute the redness some. I just dab it on and then use a small cosmetic brush to blend it in. This doesn't work for under my eyes or the rims, but at least on my lids. Hope this info. is helpful. Read More Read Less

While the Lumigan lowered my pressures significantly, (from high 20's to mid teens and lower), my orbital sockets are deeply discolored but more significantly this week I have experienced muscle weakness in one eye that is highly concerning. In addition optic nerves have still thinned. Doctor is doing a trial change of meds.

I have experienced red, stinging, watery eyes. Additionally, now my right eyelid is swollen. I look like I've been smoking pot and fighting.

Combined with Cosopt, Lumigan has been very effective in lowering my iop. HOWEVER, it has caused me to become hollow-eyed, with reddish- dark discolorations accentuating the hollows, plus my eyes are always red. I suppose I must be grateful for its efficacy & the absence of other side effects, but as a person whose eyes have always been her best feature, this is a high price to pay. I look like a rheumy witch. Call me vain: no one enjoys being uglified & aged beyond her years.
