drops have lowered my eye pressure, grew longer lashes, on the down side have recently had severe dryness in nasal passages, moved to mouth and now my throat, wonder if this medication is responsible? Any others with this side effect?

After two weeks of use my pressure lowered from 29-30 to 19-20 for which I am very grateful. After about 6 weeks of use I'm still experiencing red eyes and now have very dry nasal passages. For the past week I've also had nausea but am not sure if related. However, one night I forgot to insert the drops and I did not have nausea that day. The nausea has returned. Has anyone else experienced this?

I used this medication as soon as it was available. Had red eyes most of the time and became very sensitive to light. Noticed weakness in hands and felt like I had the flu. After stopping and starting again the same thing happened. Used drug again after a period of trying something else. Had a painful feeling in fingers and toes, not as bad as gout but it was constant.

Not sure if it's working for me,my appointment is in April.(It's been 3mo) BUT,after reading some comments I'm wondering if the way I've felt lately has something to do with the med; breathing, tired, etc. Both lids and under eye area alot darker,(not pretty)my lashes are thicker/longer,(which I could care less about) but since using Lumigan I've seem to have grown dker hair on the jaw line and near eyes. THAT I HATE! If this med hasn't helped that much by my appoint, I want to try something else. Will report back after appoint. Thanks..ARead More Read Less

My eye dr. prescribes this to lower my eye pressure for Suspect Glaucoma. it has been working well, he is pleased with the numbers. however i do have some tendency toward red, itchy eyes - some of which can be attributed to year-round allergies. my lashes have not become long or "enhanced" unfortunately.

Eyes are consistently blood shot red that my co-workers think I have an eye infection or I have been crying.....The redness only goes away when I stop using it for a day or two. My Dr's suggestion on my last visit when I complained was: that it's better to have red eyes than cataret......needless to say he will no longer be my eye doctor.

Has lowered pressures to 18 and 19 which is great. Had several weeks of scratchy feeling in both eyes, but gone now. Eyes are very red most of the day.

Works ok to lower pressure but side effects are bothersome. Lots of "floaters", feeling of things in the eyes and extreme dryness and blurred vision. This is my second eye drop to lower pressure and I am wondering if there are any that don't have the severe side effects.

I have used this drug for several years. After 6 months felt like I had the flu all the time. Weakness in arms, low energy, slept a lot. Went off it and used propine till they stopped making that drug. Have used Lumigan for 2 years now and have pain in fingers and toes constantly. Nails feel like they have boils under them. No pain medication provides relief.

My IOP has gone down to 6 in each eye. But I have had severe pain in both eyes. After 4 days it is ok, but if I miss a couple of days and start again it is back to horrible pain and photophobia. Anyone else experience this?

I have been using Lumigan for over 5 years. I instill in both eyes at bed time. My eyes are red from dryness, but Refresh-Contacts taken 5-6 times a day helps. I take generic Brominadine in each eye twice daily, also. I have to keep my pressures around 10-12 due to VSR disease along with Glaucoma. I have been very pleased with this product. I have used so many that only last a couple of years. My wife wishes she could grow lashes like mine. The changing of eye color is no problem since I had dark brown at birth.Read More Read Less

This drug has been very effective controlling my IOP but I have a lot of dryness in the eyes. My main concern is that it is a very expensive drug even with insurance.

I used this strictly for vanity and it made my eyelashes lush and long. However, 13 months after initial use my vision was blurry and I have cataracts in both eyes which were not present when I started using Lumigan.

While Lumigan has successfully controlled my eye pressure, the side effects are awful. I've experienced significant periorbital fat loss, particularly in the area at the bridge of my nose, giving me a hollowed out sickly look. There has also been significant skin discoloration in the same area as well as the orbital socket below my eyes, not easily covered by any cosmetics tried. My physician discontinued the drug, largely because of corneal concerns created by its use. My concerns have not only been as indicated above... things that might be considered cosmetic... but the number of times I've experienced an irregular heart rate, dizziness, the ever worsening consistent and painful dry eyes, and dry throat which causes me to occasionaly wake up gasping for breath. I was on this drug for over six months, and not quick to realize all these things happening were decidedly related to Lumigan.! Read More Read Less

Too strong for daily use. Daily - sinus problems, eye pain, constant head pain. Currently using once every 5 days, outstanding results.
