I have cronic back pain due to an injury. I had surgery in March of 2003 to try to repair the damage, but it was not successful. So I have was prescibed Hydrocodone/APAP, and if not for this medication, I would no longer be able to work or have a normal life. (I also take Neurontin for nerve pain and Ultram for inflamation.) But due to those people who abuse such medications, it is hard to find a ...

Tris Norco 10mg keeps changing their pills to now feels like I'm taking ultram! Why is this legal they've been messing with it for a year now. The other generics are all worthless too so I won't even bother . Please people call FDA daily file complaints on their website as well as with Tris pharmacuticals call them daily make complaints , til they get sued and fined for this. This is NOT HYDROCOD...

I am using this to control pain related to a bone infection, it has taken away most of the pain, but it doesnt last as long as directed and it messes up my head a little.

Works well for back pain. Tolerance is easy to build up requiring more medication or more careful management

Drug was wonderful at first. Pain free, no side effects. Soon the pain comes back, so you have to up the dose. When you are at max dose, and the pain comes back, you must face the fact you are taking pain killers for no reason other than to take pain killers. I enjoyed a good year and a half without much pain. Good drug in that way. However at the end, you are left without any pain relief, and having to go cold turkey to get off the stuff. I now deal with severe pain because this drug does not work for me. I have not found any replacement. Read More Read Less

I have been allergic to codiene for many yrs. and I think this has codiene in it, I was prescribed this for pain as I had pnemonia etc. I only tried to take it twice but it made me so sick I wished I never took it, I was sick vomiting for 3 days, had severe cramping, chills and sweating, shaking and it hurt to move my head even. I guess it works for alot of people but no good for someone like me.

EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE - sometimes I think my brain "manufactures" pain so I will provide my body with the drug. This is in addition to the real pain from a severe back injury due to car accident 3 yrs ago and surgery 4 months ago. Began taking about 10 to 20mg/day which was very effective. 3 years later, instead of 6-7 hours of complete relief on a 5 or 7.5mg, I need 10-30 mg at once and it will only last about 3 hours, have taken as many as 150-200mg/day. Viscous cycle - need more pills which are less effective the longer I take them. So far, I have been unable to get off hydrocone (although still recovering from back surgery, chronic pain is greatly reduced & physical therapy was very successful) however SEVERE WITHDRAWALS including difficulty breathing (lungs feel like they fill with fluid), heart palpitations and very fast, irregular heart beat, skin "crawling", hot flashes, cold chills, loss of appetite, stomach, head, legs, feet pain; anxiety, PANIC ATTACKS, shakiness/jitteriness, irritibilty complete loss of sensible thinking which includes pain pill seeking behaviour from friends/family. Have heard withdrawal is the same as the street drug herion! Drug is Great for 1-6 month usage, beyond that addiction risk is very high and life becomes more and more miserable. I want to stop taking them but am scared of the withdrawal. I begin to experience the onset of withdrawal symptoms 6-7 hours after last dose. Need help but don't know what there is. No strenth/will-power and too much legitimate pain to go cold turkey. Ruining my life!Read More Read Less

I had bone surgery and found it worked to relieve the pain, but caused intense nausea and vomitting. I alternated between which was worse, the pain in my knee or nausea caused by this drug. I switched to contin and am much more functional.
