I have been on this medication for 6 years. I started out on premarin, and had headaches, with nervousness. Doctor tried me on Clamira 0.05mg. And it was wonderful. Made me feel like my old self again. I like the idea of taking a low dose of hormone. And this one of the lowest they make. Plus no pill to take. Change patch once a week and I'm good to go. Be sure when you put it on that you rub for ...

Hello..I have not even begun to take my hrt..i was prescribed the pill, premarin cream and the patch..not all to be used of course. I am very leery about using any H rt. It seems there Re so many dangers. Breast cancer, stroke, heart attack. I do have all the menopausal symptoms. I have 1 remaining ovary. I'm also on a weight loss program. And as bad as it sounds I do not want to gain any weight. ...

I am the only female in my family to live past 60 years. I have been on HRT since the age of 35 following complete hysterectomy. A family history of artery blockage is prevalent-both my grandfather and mother died of heart disease. My heart muscle is strong and I have good blood flow (tested by two cardiologists).

I have had ms for 47 years. Post menopausel, I used oral Ogen for years. Then my presciption program stopped covering my Ogen but WOULD cover this patch. Loved the idea of not taking a pill every day. The patch stayed on. When I started getting diarrhea and suddenly couldn't make it to the bathroom on time, just thought it was my ms. After cleaning up a mess all through my livingroom and a bathroom that looked like a haircoloring bottle had burst, I removed the patch and waited. No more breast tenderness, no more diarrhea, no more fear of going for a walk or a drive, or a DVT, I'll just live with the night sweats. That was BAD--;Read More Read Less

I am a 34 year old mother of three very active sons. This patch was awful (generic). I could not get it to stay on and this caused me to be even more stressed out at times. I was also on .10 and the patch was HUGE! I talked to my doctor and I switched over to Vivelle Dot...it's been wonderful! The patch is way smaller and I have not had a problem with it coming off. I am almost to my old self again!

This patch does come off way too easy. I have to use medical tape to keep it on. That is irritating

Loved the vivelle dot, but could no longer afford it, switched to generic estradiol patch, cheaper, But keeps failing off, when I play tennis or sweat, complained to the pharmacy but they really don't care, So I end up having to use more, Also it's big and ugly, vivelle dot never came off and it was clear and small, Think I will talk to the doc and go back.

I had a total hysterectomy (ovaries too) in '93 at age 36 have been on this for now 16yrs - no adverse effects. After surgery they put a patch on my body and I've not really been without it since. I use this to combat the hot flashes. I've tried twice over the years to wean myself off - going down to the lowest 0.025mg dosage sometimes keeping the patch on for 2weeks, but am unable to make it a month without it due to major hot flashes. So for now I'll keep using it. The only negative is now i do have some skin tenderness to the adhesive and sometimes in hot humid weather or when I'm sweaty after mowing the lawn etc the patch tends to not stick. I had been taking Cenestin (syntheic estrogen) for several years with no side effects. My MD decided I should try a more natural estrogen replacement. Everything was fine for 4 weeks. Then, within 1.5 weeks I gained 7+ lbs, had pittiing edema in my ankles, swollen thighs and calves and developed a miserable yeast infection. I'm going back to Cenestin!!

I have been using the patch for 19 years. Generic for about 10 years when insurance rates changed, and I could no longer pay the copay difference. My ovaries do not function due to extreme shock, following the removal of my uterus. I only would like the distributor to make the patch, a twice weekly dose, (as the original manufacture had)as I have had problems keeping the patch on during exercise or hot weather and sweating. I have great bone density and strength. (I am currently 58)The only other thing I have noticed, and am not sure if it is a side effect, is alopecia increasing in the last 8 years.Read More Read Less

I feel that this is a good medication. It is so easy to use and it is one less pill I have to take orally but I do have a hard time keeping it on, I sit in a hot tub quite frequently, but even when I don't I have trouble keeping this patch attached. I use the generic form, maybe the original would stay on better

This generic patch works and stays in place so good that I think this generic patch stays on very good. It has never loosened even with multiple showering and washing. Maybe the person who thought they didn't work wasn't putting them on a clean, hairless area of skin.

Previously used Climara (clear patch) but switched to generic which costs me $28 less per month. In three years I've never had a problem getting it to stay on the whole week. Using name brand or generic I have to alternate patch from left and right abdomen due to slight itching whenever I place it on upper buttocks. It isn't clear but it works perfectly for me.

This patch DOES NOT stay on. I have to use Tegaderm to keep this patch on. Terrible. Don't use this generic patch.
