This is the second time I have taken this drug. First time it worked great.This time it doesn't seem to be doing too much for me. Just be sure you can swallow it quickly...the taste is horrible and if you get it stuck in your mouth it will cause you to vomit or gag and you cannot get rid of the bitter taste no matter what you try!

I have just completed a 10 day, 500mg. course of this drug and I really improved quickly. It is very bitter but if you swallow quickly it is not bad-just don't let it start to melt! Very happy and would take it again if needed.

A side effect that I experienced with this medicine is constant headache. The antibiotic seems to work well if you can deal with the headache.

I hate this pill. My doctor put me on it to treat a sinus infection, but I have been on it 6 days and don't feel any better. The pill is HUGE and got stuck in my throat, making me throw up. I also am in the bathroom ALL day beacuse this pill causes diarrhea. I'd rather have a sinus infection than be pooping all day! I wish I had a RX for amoxicyllin!

I took this medication after back surgery. Is this common?

This medicine tastes really bitter and I have been on it for just over a day but have been up all night feeling shaky with a rapid heart beat and trouble breathing, will not take this one agagin!!!

had allergic reaction after exposure to sun--swollen, watery eyes and rash all over my arms

After starting this medicine, I had the worst nausea ever- on top of that I was so tired I could barely stay awake at work. The minute I came home I'd doze on and off for the hours before I had to go to bed, which scared my kids. I'll finish this medicine but will never take it again!

I'm in the last couple of days of a 10-day prescription for cefuroxime axetil 250 mg caplets to treat acute prostatitis and mild bladder infection. Bacteria type(s) in my case remain undetermined. The pain and discomfort subsided 3-4 days after beginning treatment. I've been managing the loose stool problem with multiple small portions of yogurt during the day. I'm also experiencing mild irritability and anxiety while taking the drug, a fair trade-off compared to my symptoms before starting treatment. The caplets have an extremely bitter taste, but I don't know if this is a characteristic of the drug or just a surface treatment with a bittering agent to prevent accidental ingestion by children and pets. This is easily handled by washing them down quickly with a gulp of water.Read More Read Less

i have been on this medication for 4 days and i feel i am worse off now than before constant coughing especially at night

The taste is yucky. I have nausea, headaches, have rapid heart beat and generally feel tired.

Unsure, just took first dose, has reaction...ears felt hot and bulging, itchy then strange groin muscle cramping with upset stomach??? quickly took 2 Benedryl then a 3rd fearing allergic reaction. 2 hours later feel normal again but will call doctor in morning for different antibiotic to be on the safe side. Yes pill was bitter but I swallowed quickly with milk, taste didn't bother me and it went down easily with the milk.

after 4 days of taking this Rx, I developed severe stomach cramping, nausea and vomiting. The nausea and stomach cramps persist 2 days after stopping the drug. In this case, the "cure" is worse than the cause.

Yes-it's tastes aweful and I have to tkae it for 21 days YUK! Gives me ocassional stomach pains.

The taste is awful, but this really works. After 4 days I felt a lot better.

The taste of the pill hasn't bothered me as much as other reviews have stated, although this medicine made me VERY tired with an upset stomach.

This medicine worked very well in treating me for my strept throat and sinus infection. I agree with most everyone else about the taste. It is horrible! I am going to try putting in chocolate pudding like someone suggested. It also gave me a slight case of runs, but I fel so much better.

The medicine is working very well but it has a nasty after taste and it's givin me a mild case of the runs but overall i feel better and thats what counts.

This is the second time on this drug. I just hope everything doesn't run right through me but I should feel better tomorrow. Thank goodness
