I took this medicine as directed and it helped relieve my cough for a very short time. I then took it again 4 hours later before going to bed at 11pm. I could not fall asleep until 4am the next morning. Because I do not take any other medication and because I never have trouble falling asleep, I am convinced that this medicine caused my sleeplessness. I will not take it again.

I know it seems crazy but the last two times I've taken Robitussin DM my cough gets three times as bad and I can't stop until it the cough syrup leaves my system. I don't understand it. I'm going to try tomorrow to go without it at bedtime and see what happens...

I always use this product when ever I feel a cold coming on, it is AWESOME! it always makes me feel better, clears out the mucus, and shortens my colds life. The only problem I've had is when I've taken it with my allergy medicine. I recommend STOPPING your allergy medicine, you wont notice the difference if you're sick enough.

My husband took it for a cough which is worse in the evening and night. It seemed to help some after the first dose, but after the second dose he had an extreme anxiety attack and didn't get to sleep until 2 am, four hours after taking the second dose. I don't think he will dare to try it again.

I ended up in the hospital with the rare side affect caused my face, tongue and lips to swell and my throat closed. I am in the hospital as we speak taking shots of steroids to counteract these problems and I intended to contact my Attorney upon this matter. Please DO NOT use this cough syrup...

I have used the liquid form many times for colds and deep coughs. It has been very effective for me. Right now I have been on it for three days.

Within an hour I took this medication and had severe stomach pains and diarrhea. It broke up the music but caused too much discomfort. I also have anxiety issues, and my heart began racing and I had a panic attack after dosage.

I started taking this medication after coughing for a couple of days. the first time it made me cough all night non-stop, losing sleep. For the next day I decided not to take it, and felt ok for a few hours. Just before bedtime, I decided to take a dosage, and immedietly begun to cough non-stop again. I decided that I will no longer use this medication.

it made me sick just minutes after I took it, very bad stomach pain, diarrhia, fever, I had to lay down never again, I tossed the robitussin out and it took me 24 hours to recover from it

I had a massive amount of mucus sitting on my lungs obstructing my respiration. Since I don't have insurance, I went to the local drugstore and asked three pharmacist for her opinion, and she recommended robitussin. I felt such a relief, and I'm glad I took it. I can feel the inflammation going down and the phlegm also. Were I to be placed in a similar circumstance in the future, I would take it again.

so far works for me i take once every year season weather changes so get screwed.. thanks to my doctor "Blanco" he recommended me this for years i always had lunch issues specially mucos will sick..A+++++++++

I took a little more than 2 teaspoons because I could not stop coughing at night, I feel like I am dying with an overdose. I can't breathe, I am hallucinating, my heart is pumping very fast and I can't drive. I will have to call 911. Do NOT take this medicine ever!

I started going back to Robitussen because Mucinex (the miracle drug) just wasn't cutting it. It helped me keep working and improve without going into a more serious illness. Two thumbs up for the old Mom treatment. Thanks, Robitussin.

I took this medication for a cough with cold symptoms. Within 24 hours, I developed nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness. I couldn't get out of bed. I have never felt so sick in my life. It was scarey. I stopped taking the cough medicine and it took two days for it to get out of my system and after that I felt fine. Will never take any type of cough medicine again.

I ended up with the liquid diaerea, throwing up and stomach aches. It felt like it was taking all the fluids out of my body. Really scared me.

I was one of the unlucky people who got the serious side effects. i woke up with a fever of 103, rashes, and itching. the next day my joints swelled up and its hard to move normally like I would.
