Dentist prescribes our 8 year old son with this medication to prevent tooth decay. Prior prescription was fluoride combined with a multi-vitamin, very similar name. Fluor-A-Day was substituted for the vitamin version, which we were told was no longer made. Parents who normally give their kids a multi-vitamin with fluoride and are switched to a different brand beware.
