My 7 mo. old son experianced after 4 days a rash all over his body, including sores in his throat. His infection cleared up, and after 2 ER visits was given Keflex instead. I was told he is allergic to sulfa med's.

I have a yeast infection... does this drug cause this?

I took 2 pills and had massive amount of blood in my urine. It kept getting worse I had a very high fever and could not move from the bed. What I did not know was that as a DIABETIC I never should have been prescibed a sulfa drug at all. A diabetic should never take any sulfa drugs. This could be fatal to them. Also saw a review where a mom breast fed while taking this drug the warning say that this is secreted in breast milk. I took this drug once and had a horrible mind reaction to it. It made me so loopy and tired. It's also hard to swallow. It helped my condition, but it has horrible side effects. I don't recommend it for younger kids or teens.

My 2 year old daughter has been on this antibiotic since Wednesday night. She takes 1 teaspoon twice daily. (it's in liquid form) She was given this antibiotic for a Urinary Tract Infection..I am not sure if it is the medicine or just the general discomfort, but she has not slept much.

Good drug with no side effects. My UTI was better in a few days.

My 11 year old daughter was prescribed this for a sinus infection. She only took it for a few days because it was too big to swallow. Even after cutting it half and into 4 pieces...it tasted horrible after cutting it. She still could not swallow it because of the sharp edges and taste. Did not experience any side effects because she was not on it long enough.

this medicine has helped me so far no problems with vomit but i am having to use the bathroom alot with diaharea im still having lots of lower back pain tho....

I hate this medicine. I had the worse allergic reaction to this, I was itching all over my skin felt like is was on fire. Then on top of that I had a fever of 103 and all I did was vomit. I didn't see any symptoms of a reaction until 2 days before I was done with the medicine. ...Good luck for other people who have to take this medicine.

After taking the first pill, I was extremely sick. I took a total of 3 pills and my Dr. prescribed another medicine. I had fever, chills, body aches (flu-like symtoms), stomach cramping, dizziness, etc...

Although this drug caused me to have great anal leakage, it cured me of my sinus infection. The anal leakage I experienced was often unpredictable and quite shocking. The pill itself is very large and difficult to swallow (I normally can swallow very LARGE things). It also caused me to have minor headaches. Overall Septra is extremely effective and works very fast.

i was put on this drug for a sinus infection caused by enterobacter spp., 2x a day for 10 days. this drug made me so sick to my stomach and caused me to get a horrid yeast infection, then i broke out in hives and quit taking the drug before i was supposed to, i couldn't handle this drug.

This med is working well for my UTI; however, I'm experiencing diarrhea and abdominal upset as well as heartburn as side effects. Eating yogurt and taking acidophilus supplements along with the drug is helping. Safe for nursing moms, which is a plus.

Taken for 7 days, constant nausea feeling each day. Couldn't continue taking drug because I live in the desert and sun exposure caused shortness of breath, dizziness, headache and hives all over my body. All this despite trying to avoid sun and wearing spf 85. Had to be hospitalized via an ambulance and I will not take this drug again.

my 8yr old took it for 10 days adult dose susp.didn't have a problem until 9th day broke out in hives.'drink lots of water and stay out of sun'Skin prob. cleared up.

took it for an inner ear infection ended up with hives all over my body for the better part of a week. doctor told me to stop taking the medication and the hives would go away...stopped taking the meds hives still there..ended up on prednisone for a week to get rid of the hives....NEVER AGAIN

I went to ER for what turned out to be a UTI. Was prescribed a three day dose of this medication b/c I am breastfeeding a 6 month old and it's considered a safe drug that doesn't enter the milk ducts. After the first 12 hours on the medication, I was still in a good amount of pain. I didn't think the medication was working. I called ER to see if this was normal. I was told that it takes 12-24 hours to kick in and feel a difference. I am now on day three of the meds and the pain from the UTI has lessened but has not gone away. I foresee me going back to the doctor to be prescribed a different kind of medicine to knock the UTI infection out. Also while taking this medicine, my baby has been really fussy and crying a lot (she hardly ever fusses or crys). Some loss of appetitie. periodic itching and rashes sometimes severe.

this stuff makes you wanna throw up or something gives you a bad feeling in your stomach for a few days till you get used to it. ive been on it before and its not as bad with the diarrhea as some antibotics are but it sure does make your tummy hurt. also experienced my mouth being really dry and stiffnes in my chest. overall not that bad tho and the symptons usually go away in a couple of days depending on how many your takin a day

Within one day, I had horrible migraines, body aches, and nausea. I could barely get up. But it also took care of the UTI quickly, the pain in my lower stomach eased up.
