Ive been on this meddicine for 4 days now. I still have my cough, still short of breath, and still weak. I get sick feeling a few hours after I take pill even if I eat, Im bloated all the time, Im just miserable still and then some. Going to call for new meds today.

2yr 4mth 27lbs treated for strep throat and a uti, took 6ml for three days in a row. She lost her appetite and had diarreha (you could actually hear an uncontrolled explosion from her but) from day one and still had a fever, by 2nd day had red splotchy marks on chest, torso, and vaginal area accompanied with severe diarreha and manageable fever with motrin (fever reducer/pain reducer for her raw but, and thank god for Boudreaux's Butt Paste goes on easy cleans off easy no scrubbing), 3rd day changed 8 severe diarreha diapers in 2 hrs (very full, mostly water/poop diapers like from sleeping all night)and redness got worse (no itching or bumps though) I think the amt of diapers may have increased on this day because I gave her milk and did not know that was a bad idea. Then stopped drug for 2 days and she regained appetite and no more diarrhea. Then switched to Amoxicillin 400/5ML has not lost appetite or had diarreha and it's her 2nd day on it. and Cefdinir was $38 hmmm and Amoxicillin was $4 both costs are without the help of insurance due to high deductible. I would NEVER put my kid on Cefdinir again unless their life depended on it and it was the only cure, and even then I would get a 2nd or 3rd opinion first.Read More Read Less

This med worked on getting rid of my four year old daughter's cold and ear infection. However, she had diarrhea everyday since she started taking it.

Both of my children (never sickly) have been treated with this drug for sinus infections. Neither one has gotten better after multiple rounds and my daughter has had diarrhea and stomach pains. They are both coughing a lot and still have a lot of drainage. As a first time user of this medication, I am not impressed!!!!!

This medication is horrible. I had never heard of it until my three year old was prescribed it for strep throat. I wish I had read the reviews before I gave him his first dose. Within 24 hours he had horrible diarrhea and he got a painfull blister like rash on his bottom.I never gave him a second dose (was only to take 1 tsp. every 24 hours).I will not allow his dr. to give this medication to my son again. I would not take this myself either. Please, parents do not give this to your child.

my review is defiantly different. this medicine has work wonders with me. i started taking zithromax but that did not work so i got this. i have had wonderful sleep, the only thing i do not like about it i cant eat 2 hours before or after and i forget sometimes so ill eat and then im scared if i take the medicine without waiting i will get all those symptons you guys all got.

My son took this drug for a cold. Not only did he get severe diarrhea, but constant vomiting, abdominal cramps, and he didnt eat or sleep for 2 days. I'm calling the doctor for another medicine. With these reviews I dont even think this medicine should be used, period. Its miserable!

I have taken this medicine for 2 days now. No improvement noticed. I have notice my cough progressively getting worse as phlem is breaking up. This is fist time medicine has kept me awake, I have been up for 36+ hours. I am returning to visit my Dr. and ask for my old faithful - Zpak!

Have taken 2 pills for sinus infection. Side effects: Severe stomach pain, loose bowels, nauseus, extended stomach. Will call Dr for another med.

Flu shot given at Suwannee Co. HD. Developed quickly into severe URI. After 2 doses got severe abdominal pain, LH kidney pain, diarrhea, hot and cold sweats, elevated temperature. I have been off the drug for 24 hours with symptoms continuing. I do not recommend this drug for anyone, however it did clear the "infection". I believe that the infection "ran for cover" in the wake of the disaster that it saw that the drug was causing! I have fears now that there is damage caused to my body that may be significant. Before this drug I was a relatively healthy person! I had gone 12 years without catching the flu or a bad cold. As of now I am a physical wreck! I had been real sick for a while and waited because honestly do not like taking prescription meds and after three days still no relief just got worse. I have now developed a yeast infection , stayed up all night vomiting and have had abdominal cramping and have yet to have a bowel movment in 5 days and now feel even worse than I did to begin with!! I do not recomend this med. to anyone!!! Still have symptoms on top of the rest that I originally started with!!!

I was prescribed this medicine for a sinus infection. I started having extremely bad diarrhea within 2 days of my first dose. It is now 20 days later and I still have bad diarrhea. I have never had a reaction to an antibiotic, even Cipro. I would rather have my sinus infection.

Got this for a sinus infection. Helped cleared that up quickly, but I got a yeast infection. Also, my legs were cramping while on the drug and also had an itchy butt. But it cleared up the infection

This is the worst medicine EVER! My 3 1/2 year old daughter was given this for an upper resp infection. She started to have diarreah non-stop and I quit giving it to her and 3 days later she has severe cramping and diarreah. It is awful to see her go through that. She had this same medication 8 months earlier for an ear infection and ended up in the hospital for 3 days after vomitting and severe cramping. I know now that it is because of this medication. The best antibiotic to give my kids has been azithromiacin. I will make sure that is what they get from now on. I am very disappointed in the docs prescribing this. We have tickets for Disney Live for tomorrow that we have had for 5 months and now she may have to miss it.Read More Read Less

Had to take the pills for 21 days and have been severely bloated everyday since. I don't recognize my own stomach as it is so distended. I would have asked for another drug but it was given to me after a horrible experience with Augmentin, which made me vomit for 3 hours. Now that I have taken my last dosage of cefdinir, I am hoping that my intestines will start working right again. I even ate yogurt throughout the whole ordeal, but it didn't help with the bloating.

I have taken one pill and have insomnia now..I have not slept much with 101.7 fever and now I can't sleep. I have a burning in my throat and won't take this anymore. I only took one. I've had ear, sinus and brochitis infection along with stomach and intestinal virus. I need sleep.

I took this medicine for two days. I was feeling better the second day; however on the morning of the third day I woke up and vomited, and continued to vomit the rest of the day. I was flat in bed for two days from that, and today, the third day of no antibiotic, I still don't feel well. I didn't even think about it being a reaction to the medicine until someone mentioned it to me today. I'm scared to take the medicine now, and won't until I call my doctor on Monday.

My one year old daughter diagnosed with Tonsilitis has taken three doses and has not been able to sleep, has has bloody runny stool, extremely bad cramps and who knows what other pain. She doesn't know how to talk yet. She screams all day long in pain. I will not give her another dose after reading all the other reviews seeing that it must be the medication and not the symptoms of the illness.

I was prescribed the name brand and received this as the generic. taking 300mg twice daily - supposed to be for 10 days. After day 3 some itching, but I thought I could cope. By day 6, itching was so severe I could not tolerate it.... any where if itched/touched turned red and itched even worse. Eventually had to take something so I could sleep. Stopped taking and will never take again. Have never had this type of reaction to any of the other med's in this particular "family".
