This should be taken off the market. I honestly felt I was dying. Kept feeling worse and worse. Day 4 I couldn't swallow or breathe. Experienced severe headache, dizzy, too weak to even talk. It was awful!!!

I will not be taking this medication. Given to me for an ear infection. Headache, extreme fatigue, nausea, cold chills. I am on day 4 and have stopped the dosage. Will call my doctor on Monday to see if something else can be prescribed. This medication makes you feel worse than the infection itself!

The side effects of this antibiotic are HORRIBLE!!!!! I was in bed in complete agony all day long for 4 days, unable to work, take care of my family, eat or do anything. It started with fever, chills, headache and dizziness, then cane extreme abdominal pain and diarrhea ever 45 minutes for 3 days!!!! It is the 4th day since I stopped and still have a headache, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These side effects are FAR worse than the pain I experienced with my ear infection, which was bad.

Had a terrible headache, nausea, vomiting, dizzy, and very fatigue. I had to stop using this med that was prescribed for kidney infection

WARNING THIS DRUG DOES NOT GIVE INFORMATION FOR ALLERGY RELATED SYMPTOMS This Medication nearly killed me. One dose and I no longer had and any functional normal thinking, eating, walking. And put me into almost coma stage effect. It isnt your regular antibiotic. It took 2 days to return back to myself. Thankfully the clinic that sent me to the ER called to check in on me and changed my medication. Dont trust new antibiotic medications now.

had a sinus infection-- this drug after 2 days gave my husband extreme dry mouth and extreme fatigue! Shortness of breath and heart palpitations!!! Never again!

This drug is horrible! My son was prescribed this for 14 days on day 12 he broke out in horrible hives everywhere and now after being off for a week he has developed serum sickness and can’t walk because of swollen joints!!! Never take this drug it is so bad! My healthy 6 year old can’t walj now because of this!!! I hate Cefdinir and agree it should be pulled from market!

Dizziness, headache, heart palpitations, heart racing, out of breath, fatigue. Went to hospital because symptoms were so pronounced.

I do not have drug coverage and so paid $90.00 cash for 10 days of this stuff. Many side effects starting with tinnitus - buzzing ringing in ears, flu like symptoms - extremely fatigued and sore muscles, disturbed sleep - hard to relax and waking up after two hours, etc. Mostly I have felt sick as you would with the flu. I have stuck with it because I can't afford to dole out more $ for another antibiotic. In this case, the cure is worse than my condition. Do not take this medication!! It gives you anxiety, diarrhea, in the third day and then I called the doctor to get off because I lost my appetite

After 7 days on a 10 day treatment, 2X daily I am not noticing much improvement , I would have expected significant improvement by now . Disappointed. Hopefully the next 3 days will bring a cure but not to optimistic at this point .

Sinus Infection. It might help buying some probiotic yogurt and eating it twice a day. 1 when you wake up and about 4-8 hours after taking the daytime dose. I also went on the BRAT diet while taking this medication. These precautions helped me a lot. I took cefdinir for 10 days Aug. 16 to 26. Days 1-2: My symptoms got significantly better. I felt fine, no side effects, so I continued to take the medication every 12 hours. Days 3-6: I felt cured of my sinusitis by this point, however, I started having some side effects. The main effect that was bloating a lot, and I had trouble breathing (felt short of breath). I also noticed that my pulse was pretty weak, sometimes really hard, and at times my heart rhythm just felt like it was beating different. Some nights I could feel my pulse really hard on sides of my neck and top of my head. Days 7-9: Day 7 I started having really bad diarrhea. I was going about every 30 minutes for about 4 hrs. Day 8, I only went twice. Day 9 was similar to 7, but milder and only lasted for about 2 hours. I was still having trouble breathing and my pulse was the same as days 3-6. Day 10: I only had a few bathroom breaks. I was still having trouble breathing but my heart rate/pulse was better. Post Medication (Days 11 - 13): Been off cefdinir for over 72 hours. I still have mild short breaths, and my pulse and heartbeat have improved. My trips to the bathroom are still not fully normal. If it weren't for the side effects of cefdinir I had, I would give the drug a higher rating. It did manage to clear out my sinus infection that I had for 3 weeks within the first couple days, but the side effects while on the medication were not fun to deal with. I am still experiencing some side effects today; 3 days after finishing the medication. I would still have to recommend it to those who can't take amoxicillin or azithromycin like me. I stopped this medication after a few days .My throat and tongue swelled.I felt really bad on this antibiotic.I will never take this medication again,i thought it would kill me.Took a few days to get the taste out of my mouth also.Horrible,should be pulled from the market.

This medication caused me to have diarrhea. In hindsight I should have called and had the Doctor prescribe an alternative medication. I finished the 10 days and have had diarrhea now for almost 3 weeks. I am pretty sure it was caused from the meds. If you take this, discontinue and call the Dr if you have side effects. I should have.

Med is working for a sinus and ear infection but am experiencing horrible dizziness and fatigue after 7 days.

I was given this drug after a zpack didnâ??t clear up my sinus infection. I am on day 4 or 5 and although i feel extremely better physically, mentally i am a mess. I have a history of depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. During this treatment of meds i have experienced horrible nightmares vivid dreams to the point of confusion waking up and not knowing what was going on. I am now calling off from work because i canâ??t stop crying and feeling like i want to die! They say this drug has no interactions with my Prozac but i beg to differ. I thought the nightmares were the worst of it until my depression came back full force with mood swings and unclear thinking. I have not experienced any of the side effects mentioned in other reviews. I also have not experienced any effectiveness of the drug to cure the infection. Switching to Augmentin.

Horrible, horrible, nasty drug. Was prescribed for an ear infection by my doctor. 2x daily for 10 days. The last day of taking it I had a violent allergic reaction to it. Put me in the E.R. at my local hospital. Close to death, lucky someone found me when they did.

DO NOT TAKE THIS!! First day of taking this i developed intense GI pain and distress with severe diarrhea. I was also fatigued and weak. This has now been going on for 3 weeks. I am malnourished, have lost weight and now i have severe pain radiating through my hands so bad i literally cant hold a glass of water. I was a 37 yr old healthy person that is now very concerned for my wellbeing due to being prescribed Cefdinir. I will go to ER tomorrow if symptoms worsen, otherwise i have to see a very expensive specialist to correct what this awful drug has done to me. Please never take this drug!Read More Read Less
