300MG 2x a day for 10 days I'm early at writing a review as I'm only four days into my medication, and I will be back to update. But I wanted to inform (WARN) you that this medication also causes bad gas from the southern hemisphere! Good Gracious!

My husband was in the hospital for 3 days with pneumonia in both lungs due to an infectious organism. After being treated with IV antibiotics for the 3 days, he was doing well and both lungs were clear. On the third day, he was released with a prescription for cefdinir 300 mg twice daily for 9 days. He complained about being exceptionally tired, and could barely do anything without lying down to r...

This medicine has a lot of side effects and made me feel worse than when I was sick. I experienced bloating, headaches, earaches, and diarrhea. DO NOT take this medicine and have your Dr. prescribe you anything else.

This was given for a very bad sinus infection which turned into Bronchitis. Taken with Prednisone. I started improving after 2 days...what a relief. Only experienced very, very mild headache occasionally and stools were looser

The drug didn't work for me. My stomach hurt but all the other symptoms stayed the same. Another thing it made my ejackulant clear like water, It returned to normal after I stopped using cefdinir. I just thought that was odd.

I was given a 10 day course for strep throat. It took several days to start working. I experienced hot flashes and lightheadedness in the first couple of days. It gave me a very strange taste in my mouth and no appetite. I finished the course, and that's when the diarrhea/cramping began. I fought these symptoms for a week before I ended up in the ER. I ended up contracting a bacterial infection while on this medicine. I was taking probiotics, but this drug still threw my system COMPLETELY out of whack. I had to be given another antibiotic to combat the mess left behind by Cefdinir. I have been in misery for almost 3 weeks total and have lost 8 lbs from not being able to eat and the diarrhea. I would NEVER recommend this medicine to anyone. It should be taken off of the market.Read More Read Less

Taken for bronchitis together with Methylprednisolone. Bad gas and diarrhea. Also trouble sleeping, racing heart beat, but that may be from the prednisolone.

I was prescribed Cefdinir 300 MG/2X day for 10 days for ear infection and possible sinus infection. I took a chewable (gummy) probiotic along with the duration of the antibiotic. Fatigue and a slight lingering headache were the only notable side effects I could detect during the 1st few days but at day 7 I experienced a horrible headache all day long (unrelieved with ibuprofen or caffeine) and by dinner time I was vomiting aggressively, multiple times. The next day I had hives all over my back, shoulders, neck and scalp and over that night my left eye and lips swelled tremendously and I had to go to the ER for IV Benadryl, Pepcid and Steroid infusion. I am on a 5 day prescription for Prednisone and Benadryl now. I will never take this antibiotic Cefdinir again.Read More Read Less

Was put on this for suspected bacterial double pink eye. I took my last one this morning (twice a day for 10 days). Since beginning this med I have experienced the worst inflammation/irritation down below. Not presenting itself like a typical yeast infection so i'm not sure what is going on. All i know is that it is super painful and irritated! I'm a nurse and I have never heard of these side effects but I for one will never take this again!

I took this for a sinus infection and 10 days later I'm still very sick. I developed a rash, was dizzy, experienced difficulty breathing clearly, nausea, headaches and overall weakness. This was the worst experience I've ever had on any antibiotic. I will never take this again.

I had severe chest congestion and sinus infection, was prescribed Cefdinir, I took it as instructed, but once I started itching I stopped. It has been 2 weeks and I'm still itching like crazy. from my head to the bottoms of my feet, once scratched it gets red and hot and itches even more. I will never take this drug again.

Amazing that 6 days earlier, he was released from the hospital and was doing great and feeling fine. I can't prove it was this medicine, but after reading some of these reviews, I would bet my life that it was! I wish I could give this med a lower rating - it should be pulled from the market and never given to anyone ever again.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this for an acute sinus infection. Was worried after reading the side effects, but took it anyway. I didn't experience any side effects. No stomach issues at all. It worked and I feel great.

I am having black diarrhea, sleepiness and after five days I do feel any better. Now because of the black stool the nurse is recommending I see a gastroenlogist for a colon test, I didn't have any problem before taking this medication. I have a yeast infection and I am totally sore from front to back.

My 17 yr old daughter was prescribed this medication for strep. Almost immediately after taking, she starter with a numb, tingling sensation on her finger tips. Thereafer, a rash developed on her arms with extreme pain in her heels. The Dr. switched her meds but the allergic reaction continued. She was finally given a steoid shot and pills. It has been two weeks since she stopped the meds and we have now noticed a quarter size bald spot behind her ear and her fingers have to peel. This medication is extremely dangerous.
